Pros: Reduces redness of zits and prevents new ones from forming it availablle locally and really CHEAP!! Cons: SMELL but it fades after 2 minutes or so Bottom Line: Im a guy and only 18 so this might still be a hormonal thing but I used to get a cyst almost every month around my chin and Iam the worst at picking at my face so i now have these red scars where the cyst was. Im using Universal Medical Acne free system adn i read these reviews about ACV reducing redness so i tried it. I have been using it for about a week as a toner(50/50 water) and I think its working pretty well. Im also using Mederma which I think is helping to fade the redness too but so far I haven't had a cyst yet and my forhead is definatly breaking out less frequently so hopefully it keeps working. Oh and don't freak out if the first time you put it on your face that you turn red that happend to me but it was fine after like 10 min I think my face was just not used to it. Pros: - Reduces/control blemishes - Fades hyperpigmentation/red spots gradually - Not as drying as other toners Cons: - burns & stings like a mf - smelly! Bottom Line: I was skeptical at first about using ACV--something you would put in food--on my face. It smells so bad and burns my entire face for a good few minutes, but after that the smell subsides and the burning stops. A few days of using this & I can see my acne becoming under control: less frequent freak breakouts. A few weeks of using this (along with some hydroquinone products) and my hyperpigmentation/red spots have gotten lighter. Overall, this is highly recommended because it's so affordable and natural! Pros: Smoothes out skin, rids of dead skin, aids red and white pimples. Really effective, works fast! Cons: Your face smells after you use it, but by morning it is gone, other then that nothing Bottom Line: I use the ACV as a toner @ night and it really makes a big difference, that combined with fish oil pills 1200Mg 3X daily. This has cleared up my skin ( 23 still suffeing with off and on moderate acne prior) and it only a $10 a month cost, compared to hundreds wasited on antibiotics, creams ...ect Recommended: Yes Usage: Marcus has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Super cheap, works better than anything else out there. Cons: Vapor sometimes stings the eyes, make sure you dilute with water 50/50. Bottom Line: This stuff really works. I've been using proactiv for 10 years and not only is it expensive, my acne kept coming back. I've been using raw apple cider vinegar diluted with water as an astringent for about 10 months now. I noticed a difference within a few days. I've stopped using proactiv now and only use ACV on my face. When I see early signs of acne, I dab a few drops on a small piece of tissue paper and put it on my face twice a day. It's usually gone the next day. Works everytime. Proactiv never did that for me. Scars also lighten and vanish in a few months. Best part, it only costs $2.85 a bottle. I also drink one tablespoon a day with a glass of water. Doesn't taste good but it cured my constipation in a few days. ACV rocks. Recommended: Yes Usage: Donna has used this item for a few months. Pros: cheap and works Cons: it stinks, of course Bottom Line: It stopped my un curable break-out that starts when i was about 15. it doesnt seem to help with my red acne scars from previous acnes, but bottom line is that I dont have any new break out since I used ACV as a toner. Pros: Works fast, doesn't dry, makes skin bright, removes post acne marks Cons: Smell? I can tolerate it though. Bottom Line: I have had acne for about six years! All throughout the years I've used so many products. (differin, clearasil, proactiv...etc) Yes, there have been times where my acne had gone down but it flares back and leaves scars! (Ewww, and dry skin) BUT... I have been using ACV for about three days and it's done what differin does in a month! I had a huge red blotched scar from picking my face and its pretty much gone. I had pimples that disappeared over night...and no dry skin. My face feels so smooth and that it's really becoming beautiful for once. This stuff rocks! I recommend trying it. Pros: cheaper, no harsh chemicals, works! Cons: smell and taste Bottom Line: im willing to smell bad cuz it only last for a second, anything for clearer skin! i have hormonal acne around chin and i have been using ACV for a week as a "dab on the chin" 2 times a day and 5ml 2 times a day orally. and my skin has never looked better, even people are starting to notice! cant wait to see it in another week! Pros: It actually makes a difference! Cons: If I had to say anything, the smell, but it's really not that bad and it doesn't hang around very long. Bottom Line: I've had moderate acne for about 10 years (I'm 28) and I've tried everything possible. All sorts of face wash regimes, medications from Dr's and Dermatolagists, all making no difference at all. I'm about to finish 6 months of Doxy with nil results. About a week ago, I was becoming desperate for something to help me and started googling everything I could about acne. I read a couple of reviews about Apple Cider. I had nothing to loose. I've been using it as a toner and drinking about 5ml morning and night. In the first couple of days I actually noticed a REAL difference. My face isn't nearly as red and I don't have any new spots. I hope from here it continues to improve. I can't recommend enough to try this. Normally I wouldn't leave reviews but this has made a real difference for me, and I hope that it can for others. Pros: I'm a college student so I need something cheap that works. This is that item. I've only used it once and I can already see an improvement. My skin is taking on the tone I remember having when I was about eleven. This stuff is awesome. Cons: .......? Some people don't like the smell but I don't mind. No cons. This stuff is great. Warning: I put it on without watering it down and it made my face RED! It went away but just be careful. Your skin is delicate, especially if it's sensitive. Bottom Line: Try it. Try it. Try it. It's so cheap so even if it doesn't work for you, just put it on a salad! I love this stuff. I'm confident that if I use this regularly, I'll have the best skin I've had in years. I'm so excited. I finally found a solution to my acne problem after about nine years of just putting up with it. The problem I have is that my skin is fair since I'm Celtic and Germanic so my acne itself doesn't last long, but the coloring does. This stuff corrects that, dare I say even reverses it. Again, careful if your skin is sensitive like mine. Don't overdo it. Try mixing with water to make it less potent if you can't handle the basic 5% vinegar content. Pros: terrific toner; lightens marks; antiseptic Cons: smell (who cares) Bottom Line: Normally I don't write anything on these forums unless I have tried something for at least a few weeks or even months. This time, however, I can jump the gun and recommend this. I have been using this stuff (50-50 water dillution) for a week and it has really made my skin look better. Does it clear acne all by itself? I really doubt it. still, this complements other things I think and if it doesn't irritate you (if it does, dilute more), why not? It is very cheap and easy to use.
