| Pros | Helps skin heal faster, seems to help in fading red marks, leaves skin nice and smooth, evens out dry and oily areas, natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smell (but could be worse) |
| Bottom line | I've only been using this about 3 days (got myself the Bragg's brand) diluted 50/50 with water (it doesn't sting btw and I have sensitive skin). I wish I would've known about this sooner! I have a ton of red marks and flat scars from years and years of mild acne combined with daily skin-picking. I can tell that it is helping my boo-boos heal quicker and allowing the skin to refresh/turn over better. It also seems to help diminish the fact that my skin is dry and oily at the same time (I know weird, but it is). It gives it a suppleness and it feels more hydrated. How an acid does that I have no idea but it does! Honestly even if I had no skin problems I would use this, it's great. I look forward to seeing how my skin continues to improve. I do not know if this is helping my existing acne only because I became desperate and went back on my birth control pill regimen for that because it was out of control. Once I am clear again I'm going to try to wean down/off the bc pills again and see if the ACV can hold its own. I plan to make this a permanent part of my skin-care regimen. Try it! |

| Pros | cheap and easy to purchase. |
|---|---|
| Cons | the smell, its effectiveness, and it actually made my acne worse. |
| Bottom line | I decided to try this product after seeing the great reviews on this site. I have oily skin and severe acne and have for years so I was really hoping this would work. I used this as a toner twice a day full strength for about 3 to 4 weeks. The first 3 days my skin seemed to be clearing up and I thought this might be THE product to end my horrible acne. After the 3 days my skin became much worse and instead of just getting the normal big/deep pimples I started to get tiny bumps around my face also. I finally got to the place where my acne looked so bad I could not take the product any longer. I only kept at the product for so long because I read on here that it took up to a month to see a difference. This did not work for me at all but I think it is about finding that product that works for you. I feel like I am out of options right now but am going to keep trying and hope there is something out there that can help my skin. I don't know if I can recommend this but I think it is worth a try. It is not super expensive and seems to work for a lot of people so what is there to lose? a couple more weeks of bad acne? |

| Pros | Economical, easy, softens skin, regulates the correct ph skin level |
|---|---|
| Cons | Odor is unpleasant, regimen takes a while to clear acne |
| Bottom line | I came across an article by an underground 1970s cult actress/ icon, Cookie Mueller, who wrote a guide on how to get rid of pimples. She outlined a regimen that involved adding equal parts apple cider vinegar to equal parts water and to apply this directly to the face with a cotton ball every night before bed and every morning. She also prescribed a vitamin intake of Cod Liver Oil; two-tablespoons a day in liquid form and to eat a lot of Brewers Yeast. I followed this regimen for about a month, and got a little dissapointed with the results. I kept following the regimen for about a month longer, and most of my larger pimples had cleared, but the redness and mid to smaller blemishes still remained. I have found other remedies, such as the egg white mask, to work faster and more effectively. Although the vinegar regimen does work somewhat, it takes a very long time to see any results, and the smell makes you think twice if it is really worth it. |

| Pros | it just helps :) |
|---|---|
| Cons | smell and taste, it stings a bit |
| Bottom line | I use a regular facewash 1-2 times a day and in the evenings I then use some apple cider vinegar like a tonic, I also use scrub 2 times a week. My face has not been so clear in years! For my sensitie/mixed skin, this is a great solution :D. |

| Pros | cleared up some |
|---|---|
| Cons | brought unwelcoming cysts |
| Bottom line | Diluted it and put it on my face. I also made a drink with it and drank it 3 times a day. My jawline acne cleared up, but then new cysts started to form on my forehead. Try it. It might work. It might not. I think most of these reviews on this site are fake anyways. |

|---|---|
| Cons | New acne formed |
| Bottom line | I don't know if im doing something wrong but its been a week and a half since ive started using acv but my acne didn't disappear at all. And ive got a few new small zits. I only wash my face once a day and its in the morning but at the afternoon between 5-6pm and at night before going to sleep i dip my face in warm water and at night i put non-diluted acv on my face. I dont know if this is normal but can someone send me message at ken001234@[link removed] on what regimen they did that made acv work for them. |

| Pros | I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! |
|---|---|
| Cons | The smell if you don't like it. But I love the smell of vinegar! |
| Bottom line | Just GET THIS. Stop reading. Buy Braggs ACV and some cotton balls and don't even add water... Yeah it makes your eyes water but its better 100% ACV then like 50%... But MAN. I don't know whats wrong with the peope that this didn't work on... I think they did it wrong. But it wont be in the just like one week... You gotta wait at least three. But its SOOO worth it!!! |

| Pros | My skin was not as oily, got rid of some acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made my skin rough, made me breakout, and made my skin super dry. |
| Bottom line | When I first started using this it was right after a big breakout, which I attribute to using baking soda. I have been trying many home remedies because I do not want to spend $, and now have moved onto ACV. At first, the pimples I had began to disappear just like they did when I was on baking soda. My skin became way less oily, and I could touch my face and not have a greasy shine on my hands. Then after a week my face became very rough and dry. I noticed bumps were starting to pop up all over my forehead. every time I got out of the shower It looked like I had eczema all over my face, but I kept on using it. Now I am really beginning to break out at the two week point. I am still going to use it because i have heard you initially breakout and then it is okay. I put it on every night for 10 minutes and then wash off. It is a 50% water and 50% ACv. |

| Pros | None, especially when you're trying to clear up acne in a week or two. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made things way worse, and I'm still trying to get over the scars a month later. |
| Bottom line | I used apple cider vinegar as a toner on face face 3 times a day, for about a week and a half. I'm not really sure how this worked for everybody else except me, and its really dissappointing. By the second day of using this, I got like 15 new pimples, in spots I normally dont get them at all. And the ones that were already there were brought to a head and became more noticecable. I kept on using this daily, but things just kept on popping up. So I decided to stop using it, and my face returned back to its same old self. I was hoping this cleared up my acne by a big Christmas party I had, but it just made it worse. I will never try apple cider vinegar again. |
