Pros: extremely effective, cheap Cons: smell Bottom Line: For at least 10 years, my skin has been super oily and constantly broken out. ACV seriously cuts down the amount of oil on my face. Now my skin feels balanced, healthy, soft--no more shine (finally!!!) I use it twice a day as a toner, diluted 50% with water. Adding a few drops of tea tree oil helps cut down on the smell (which you get used to anyways...doesnt bother me anymore). I have only had a few new spots since starting (they were hormone-related), and I am so happy to have found this. plus sad that I didn't discover it earlier! Plus, it's ridiculously cheap. Pros: doesn't make your face look worse Cons: doesn't make your face look better Bottom Line: Did not work in any of the ways described above. I dilluted it with water, applied undiluted, etc. Did not help. Worth trying, though. Maybe it's gonna be your weapon against acne, who knows? As for the smell - it's totally ok. Pros: GETS RID OF ACNE, makes skin soft, reduces redness Cons: Stings a little and hurts the eyes if you get too close and smells funny Bottom Line: I use just plain vinegar you would put on fries diluted to a 1:1 ratio with water twice a day after washing with Biore Ice Cleanser. Its great because it keeps acne away. If I see a pimple, I just dab a little more on that area and it gets smaller and the redness disappears fast! I wish that I had heard about this sooner. The smell is kind of bad but if you wait for it to dry on your face and then moisturizer with a nice smelling moisturizer you can't even smell it at all. As for the reducing redness on acne scars it seems to be working but i'll bet it takes a while to see great results. You (yes even you) should try it, it really works and what do you have to lose?!?! Pros: Works after the first time you use it and Continues working every time after Gets rid of current acne fast and old acne scars Evens out your skin tone and makes your skin super soft Cons: Makes skin temporarily red Burns eyes Smells horrible Bottom Line: I use this stuff every night before i go to bed, because of the redness and smell, so i can take a shower in the morning to "wash" it off. I just dab it all over my face with a towel or tissue. Works amazingly well!!!! No other acne products ever worked on me. Recommended: Yes Usage: Steph has used this item for a few months. Pros: Clears your skin and gives it a healthy glow! Helps acne scars fade fast! Cons: The smell and slight stickyness of it (if undiluted), but it goes away very fast and honestly given how well it works for acne and oily skins it doesn't matter if it smells a little for a few minutes anyway! Bottom Line: Vinegar has helped me a lot! I have extremely oily skin and am prone to very bad hormonal acne breakouts about twice a month; I take spironolactone to regulate that a little and it has helped but my skin was still incredibly oily and I still got periodic break outs. Vinegar has helped dial down the break outs and has made my acne scars fade incredibly fast too! Recommended: Yes Usage: Zoe has used this item for about a month. Pros: Cheap, easy, all natural, i noticed a difference in 2 days!! Cons: I'm a little worried about my tooth enamel, but i think its fine if you use a straw and rinse your mouth out after Bottom Line: I broke out after stopping birth control and was desperate to restore my complexion to the way it has always been (clear, perfect) I had been taking fish oil, zinc, and evening primrose oil for 3 weeks when I tried ACV. I drink 2 tbsp a day and after 2 days i had no new zits and everything is healing and drying up i couldnt BELIEVE it! i have had no bad side effects, some people break out even more as their bodies flush out the toxins but i didnt. Pros: when i drank it i lost a few kilos :) Cons: skin went ballistic - pimples everywhere (although that might have been because homemade acne treatments aren't supposed to be used) Bottom Line: I still take a natural approach for my acne but i do more of an internal thing rather than an external thing. Perhaps because i bought the premium brand, my forehead broke out but I doubt i'd ever use acv again. My advice: -use organic -test if your skin goes nice with it. Pros: Works great!!!!!! Cons: Smells bad and burns eyes Bottom Line: It's amazing. I have used everything the dermatologist prescribes from differin to oral antibiotics and retin-A and benzoyl peroxide 10%. Then I started using the ACV (concentration =50%) and my skin has never looked better! It started working in around a week, and right now I've only got 1 active pimple compared to the at least 30 (not exagerating) I used to have. It does kinda smell, but the smell evaporates in about 5 minutes. And since the smell makes my eyes sting, I just close my eyes when I apply it. I apply it AT LEAST 2 times a day. Note: I still used benzoyl perrozide (but 2.5%) 2 x a day and retin-A at nights. I moisturize with unrefined shea butter at night and neutrogena healthy skin at day Recommended: Yes Usage: liline has used this item for about a month. Pros: Helps skin complexion Prevents breakouts Controls oil Cons: Maybe the smell Tricks you at first.. Bottom Line: I started this about two weeks ago, and I wasn't really impressed. What I found it did was bring all the pimples about to come through to a head. So although I didnt like these pimple, it was actually getting rid of what was already under my skin. The pimples were smaller, easier to get rid of too. About now I can see the benefits properly. No real pimples, cleaner complexion, my old scars now have a chance to fade without new ones replacing them. I am kicking myself I hadnt found this seven years ago. All that pain and I just needed some acv! I was skeptical because I had been drinking this for a while without this kind of result, I now use it topically and internally. I think it balances the pH of my skin after stripping it with a soap and controls bacteria. What I do is apply it after washing my face in the morning and at night, with a pure cotton pad. Pros: it works as a toner, i put it on and my face was all red (like rash or somethin) but it went away after 2 hours it defienetly works but you have to be consistent use it when you're home only it stinks really really bad but its worth it Cons: stings a lil bit and scares the sh*t out of u the 1sr time u use it Bottom Line: also drinkin it is gross but it actually helps and ur face will definetly look better afteer a week or so Recommended: Yes Usage: kevin has used this item for a few weeks.
