This works fantastically well on my hyperpigmentation marks, and believe me those little marks are the bane of my life and annoy me much more than the acne itself. I have used a few variations on this method - originally I first applied bicarbonate of soda (baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, whatever you want to call it) to my face and exfoliated gently, then I would apply the Apple Cider Vinegar on a cotton wool ball, and rub very gently for a few minutes. Now I do the same but without the bicarb, and it works just as well. I cleanse (I use origins checks and balances facewash, if anyone finds it relevant) and then rub this on my skin for a minute or two. If I'm alone I leave it on, but if I'm at my boyfriend's place or he is staying at my place, I rinse it off with water, otherwise my face would taste disgusting and he wouldn't want to be anywhere near it, let alone kiss me! This is definitely one of the cons of this item. However, I've discovered that rinsing it does not really reduce the effectiveness much, nor does dilution, so you really only need to use a tiny amount. Anyhow, I've used this for a while and it is the best thing I've ever come across for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks, which fade much, much more quickly with the help of ACV. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, but I think it also helps my actual zits to heal more quickly too. One thing: do NOT think that ACV and regular vinegar are interchangeable. I can't speak for everyone - maybe others have got good results with regular vinegar, but everywhere I've looked has said the same thing on the subject of ACV for acne and skincare, which is that regular vinegar will not give you the same results and may be far too harsh for your delicate skin. Bottom line is, DO try it. It's really worth it. After having been plagued by those horrible post-acne marks for so long, I couldn't do without this product..

Pros:
  • ***My Review is for APPLE CIDER VINEGAR not regular vinegar!!***
  • Cheap, works GREAT for hyperpigmentation marks
Cons:
  • Smells horrible

I use a light mix of natural (not strained) ACV with water as my toner. I haven't seen dramatic results, but I am getting less spots and the spots I do get last far shorter.

For awhile I thought my skin was more clear due to hormones balancing during the monthly cycle, but it's stayed more clear. So i'm happy. Not free of zits, but happier than I have been, and it's the only toner that works for me. (BP,Salicilc, Tea Tree, Witch hazel ALL do not work for me. SO I'm left with not great options...)

When I wash my face, I rub off the dead skin gently with my fingers. then put on my acv toner. Put on a few drops of lavender oil, and then rub that in with real coconut oil.

Completely cuts the smell of the ACV, and counteracts any drying you may get. I recommend it.

  • Fairly cheap
  • Good Alt. Toner

Cons

  • Smell
  • Sting
  • moderate

I personally love Apple Cider Vinegar, and I have even gotten used to the smell. I love that it's natural and cheap, and still is very effective.

A dislike is that the smell is absorbed into your skin and when you sweat, it comes out...

Here's my skin regimen:

  • reduces redness
  • shrinks pimples

Cons

  • drying
  • smell
  • itchy/stings

I have had bad acne for most of my life. I have tried everything under the sun and was tired of spending all of my hard earned $. I would rather shop with my $ :)

I decided to try this and this ish worked!!! My acne got better overnight. I applied it directly to a cotton ball and QUICKLY wiped my face with it. Yes it burned, but oh well, who cares? CAUTION: Don't leave the cotton ball on one area too long. I did that the first time I used it and got an ugly burn scar.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE THE SMELL-HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR A FEW SECONDS WHILE YOU ARE APPLYING IT. That's what I do. Be creative people!

I've never had consistent results with any other product (Neutrogena, Murad, Clean and Clear, facials, etc.) and not for this cheap price.

My hormones are a hot mess and until I find a product to get them under control, I will continue to use ACV.

I also used this on my natural, coily African American hair (along with a ton of conditioner & used as a detangler) and my hair shined and my curls popped!

I am going to try it for weight loss for a few weeks and see what results I can get. Heck, I have a gallon sized bottle, why not try it for all the things people are suggesting?

I still have to try the organic ACV with "Mother" in it. I heard this works even better.

***PLEASE TRY THIS IF YOU HAVE CYSTIC ACNE & YOU ARE AT YOUR WITS END! I KNOW IT CAN BE DEPRESSING- ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE STARE AT YOUR ACNE AS THEY ARE TALKING TO YOU. HOW RUDE AND LOW- CLASS, RIGHT??!!

Pros

  • cleared up my cystic acne
  • cheap
  • easy to get
  • has a lot of uses
  • can last a long time

Cons

  • STANKS BIG TIME!!!
  • severe
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 4.5
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

I dip a Q-tip in Bragg's ACV at night and just dab it on my problem spots (around my chin).

By the next morning, those areas have already improved drastically! If I keep it up over the next couple of days, the results are amazing: the redness and acne just disappear. I've tried various products to combat the problem, and this is the easiest and most effective.

Pros

  • Clears up acne FAST
  • Easy to find

Cons

[not submitted]
  • light
  • for a few months
  • $ 6.75
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

This stuff is good, but the smell is almost unbearable. I mean I'm already self conscious about my skin and NOW I gotta deal with this funk as well! So I started to apply rosewater spray with a couple drops of tea tree oil added to it afterwards to counter the smell and inflammation. I use a 50/50 mix of ACV and water as an all over toner and use it straight up undiluted on my keloids. Definitely works on zits and red marks left from acne, but the jury is still out on my keloids. Faded em quite a bit after a week, but still too early to tell. I got the whole foods 365 brand organic and unpasteurized. I also drink 2 cap fulls twice daily.

Pros

  • Cheap. Faded acne scars on face in a week and is starting to fade old keloids from chest zits.

Cons

  • Incredibly bad smell. Might not interact well with other products. Did I mention the stank?
  • moderate
  • for about a week
  • $ 7
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

I immediately saw an improvement in skin tone and clarity w my first use. I use undiluted Braggs ACV. Morning and night, applied w a cotton ball after cleansing. I love it and the smell doesn't bother me. I also have been taking it 3x a day as a drink :2Tbs. In a half glass of water. I feel great! Deffinitly recommend the Braggs, can't get reg . Vinegar from foodstore and expect results.

Pros

  • Tones skin. Makes skin look clean and fresh. Shrinks pore size.

Cons

  • None so far.
  • light
  • for about a week
  • $ 5
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

I got a spray bottle from a $2 store and fill with a mixture of 80% Vinegar to 20%Witchhazel water. I spray across my back and shoulders (the affected area) and leave for 5-10mins before getting into the shower

Pros

  • +Some noticeable improvement after a week or two
  • +Cheap as
  • +Stings...so it must be working

Cons

  • A bit smelly
  • Can leave a pinkish glow
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 4
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.

its not worth smelling like cheap salad dressing to me. I'd feel self-conscious smelling this way, even if it didn't bother me (but the smell does bother me). lavender oil gets me quick and great results w/ a much, much pleasanter smell.

Pros

  • natural, cheap

Cons

  • i couldn't tell whether this helped acne, I tried to use it, but the smell makes me want to gag! I don't care what people say--this smell will linger., even as a pre-wash. I must have a sensitive sniffer because some people seem to use it as a toner w/ no problem.
  • moderately severe
  • for about a month
  • $ 2
  • I do not recommend using this product/treatment.

I tried this remedy after reading about it on here. Within a week my skin was pretty clear, then totally clear after two weeks. A month into it though my skin retaliated and it came back worst. On top of my regular and cystic zits, I started to break out into a ton of little zits all over my forehead. Back to the drawing board! It may work for you though. Worth a shot.

Pros

  • Clears your skin of all acne

Cons

  • Acne can come back worst
  • Smells bad
  • Burns
  • moderate
  • for about a month
  • $ 4
  • I recommend using this product/treatment.
