| Pros: | Works within a few days, safe, natural, a skin miracle!!!!! |
| Cons: | None |
| Bottom Line: | I'm in my 30's, never had problems with pimples, bumps, black/whiteheads etc until recently. I also have very dry and sensitive skin, so anything like Retinol would make my skin super red and flaky. On the hunt for a skin miracle, I ran across the ACV routine. At first I used it with a backing soda wash, which was to harsh on my skin. Now I wash my face with a 50/50 mix of water and Braggs ACV (takes the make up and mascara off perfectly) and then apply a thin layer of straight ACV on my moist skin without washing it off. Even though my skin is very dry, I don't need to use a moisturizer since after the initial couple of minutes of dryness, my skin becomes soft and dewy. My pores almost disapeared, my skin problems are almost gone after 2 days.
This stuff is fantastic and I wish I had known about it years ago. I'm also drinking it 3 times a day and it helps great forheartburn. LOVE IT. |

| Pros: | Like a magic cure-all for skin problems and a million other things, AND it is safe for pregnant ladies suffering from hormone-induced acne! |
| Cons: | No significant ones! Luckily, I enjoy the smell + taste of vinegar, but you might not. It stings a tiny bit on your skin, but unless you are a TOTAL wuss, this is much better than having acne. I think it feels kind of tingly and nice :) |
| Bottom Line: | Since getting pregnant I have been suffering from hormone-induced acne-- and I thought I would be all glowing and pretty!! I was afraid to use anything chemical to treat it so I figured "Hey, apple cider vinegar cures EVERYTHING, right? I'll try that!"
I read the recommendations to dilute it, but ignored all that and just applied it directly all over my freshly washed face, and then swallowed a few swigs. It tingled and stung my skin a little bit, but my skin felt really smooth and healthy when it dried. The next day, all of my acne was GONE except for a few of the larger bumps (which had significantly dried and gotten smaller).... wow, talk about a miracle cure, eh?
So yes, I HIGHLY recommend apple cider vinegar for treating acne, and it also works for eczema, allergies, stomach/bowel issues, and a million other things.
I ONLY use Braggs brand raw organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar complete with "mother of vinegar" in it. Quality is very important for certa |

| Pros: | Greatly improved my skin, stops new break outs. |
| Cons: | The smell can be pretty bad - use it in the evening and leave it on at night and no one will notice. Doesn't completely clear skin. |
| Bottom Line: | The only product (i used distilled malt vinegar which i found worked just as well as ACV) that has had a real affect on my acne. I apply it with a cotton bud in the evening and leave on all night. You should see a noticeable difference within a few days. If i don't apply it a couple of nights i begin to break out badly again. Hasn't cleared my skin 100% but it has cleared it to a level i am pretty happy with and not always worried or embarrassed about. I strongly suggest you try it. |

| Pros: | Actually does help clear skin, inexpensive, and natural. |
| Cons: | Smells awful, stings a bit, social stigma, and irritation. |
| Bottom Line: | I apply this twice a day, and my problem areas have gotten a lot smoother. I also started drinking it too, so I'm not sure which is more effective. The thing is, I only have breakouts on my forehead and chin, and when I apply this all over, my cheeks get really red and irritated. There's even a really clear line under my eyes where it went. So, I'd really recommend either diluting this (which I'm considering) or just using it on your active breakouts, because it might just irritate the rest. I don't even have sensitive skin, though I am prone to redness. Finally, make sure you get the good stuff. You might save 50 cents on the cheap vinegar, but from what I've seen, it's worth it to go organic. I use Trader Joes, and it's 2.50 for a bottle that will last forever. |

| Pros: | Works, cheap, and gentle. Works well wit face oils(see below)
Face oils: 1 tbsp of coconut oil, almond oil, & hazelnut oil...then add 20dp of lavender EO, 10 german chamomile EO, 6 Eucalyptus EO. only use 3-5 drops of the blend, soak in for 5 mins |
| Cons: | Smells like vinegar..ew |
| Bottom Line: | I have uubbeerr sensitive skin, an allergy to soy, and a milk
intolerance. Which will all break my skin out if I eat them. So im a vegetarian who does not eat soy(lol). Anyway, Ive had acne since I was 11...you would think as i approach my mid 20s things would calm down, ha! I changed my diet from crap (fast food, preservative laced food, ect) to organic healthy food. Then my skin started breakin out WAY more...what the freak?? is what was goin through my mind!! Well a lot of healthy foods have a lot of soy!! Darn my luck. Point..I had about 35-45 pimples at any given moment. What worked(s):
-Changed my diet
-Exfoliate once a week wit baking soda
-Add 1 teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar to my final/last rinse after i wash my face wit black soap
-Pat dry, and add my special blend of face oils (yes oils!)
Real black soap is soft and has-palm oil, palm kernal oil, coconut oil, plantain skins, cocoa pod ashes. Added 20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil & 20dp Eucalypt |

| Pros: | Instant Results, very inexpensive, easy to get hold of. |
| Cons: | The horrible smell |
| Bottom Line: | I suffer from quite severe acne and it really gets me down. I have tried sooooooo many products which I either do not have the patience to keep up with as they seem to do nothing or they appear to work only then make my skin look like tracing paper and acne gets worse. I have read about ACV and decided to give it a go. I have been having two tablespoons in green tea every day and have been applying it topically with a cotton pad, leaving it ten or fifteen mins then getting a shower and washing my face with a natural simple soap.
Even after a day it has dried up all my deep cyst type acne and has brought out all the ones under the skin so they are yellow heads and can be popped. All the ones I had been squeezing which were weepy have now appeared to be healing quicker and have scabbed up much quicker than usual. It has also left my face much less greasy.I do think this stuff does dry your skin out but provided you apply a moisturiser afterwards its okay. Give this a try! |

| Pros: | Cheap, effective, not only helps mild to moderate acne, but also helps clear up seriously plugged up pores (milia and the like) |
| Cons: | Smells like apple cider vinegar, can sting (especially after shaving, which I don't recommend) |
| Bottom Line: | One of the side benefits of ACV is that it not only disinfects, but acts as an AHA to help slough away dead skin cells. This helped clear up my case of milia (rough, bumpy skin on the forehead). However, after I stopped using ACV, it came back. So it doesn't seem to be a cure, but a pretty effective treatment.nonetheless.
Also, I've noticed some differences in quality of ACV. Typically the stuff you find at a health food store will be organic and good; the Heinz stuff you find at a grocery store will do nothing. Not sure if this is the case with everyone, but it's been my experience that not all ACVs are alike! |

| Pros: | it dried a big zit on my left cheek that had been bothering me for three full days!!! I woke up this morning and that same zit is not as red as it was, it shrunk and I'm the happiest. |
| Cons: | so far none... the smell yeah! but my skin already looks better this morning!!! |
| Bottom Line: | I just tried it last night for the first time, so I know it's too soon to write a great review about it, but I already saw my big zit (and a few others) dried up and shrunk. I used baking soda mixed with water first as a mask, let it dry for 15 minutes, washed my face completely and applied some apple cider vinegar mixed with a little bit of water with a cotton ball all over my face. Not too much, though. It didn't sting, the smell started bothering me, but after my moisturizer the smell wasn't bad at all. I just did it last night and noticed that my skin improved a little, I'll keep using the ACV every night. The baking soda only three times a week and continue to use my other topical acne medication. See how that goes!!!! |

| Pros: | nothing so far! |
| Cons: | has a smell, but you get used to it. |
| Bottom Line: | i started breaking out really bad a couple of weeks ago, and i was using actual acne washes! i read about apple cider vinegar and decided to give it a try. i wash my face every morning and every night and afterwards, i dab a cotton pad into the vinegar (which i dilute with water) and rub it on my face. So far it's worked! A few days ago, my face was full of nasty infected pimples. And now it's clear, expect for some scarring. So far I am so happy and stoked with this product. I'm about to start taking apple cider vinegar pills to see if i notice any difference with that. |
