Pros It works
Cons the smell
Bottom line The vinegar not only treats acne, but it prevents it.
When you wash your face, you wash off a protective layer. That layer would take anywhere from 5 minutes to a few hours to return. During that time any bacteria could get back into your pores. The vinegar puts the layer back on right away.

Pros Cleared up acne in MINUTES, reduced redness in no time.
Cons Somewhat strong smell.
Bottom line I had these deep red dots and spots on my face, and I've tried everything from proactiv to special soaps to anti-acne medication to Burt's Bees anti-blemish stick (which helped for a while then stopped working, like my acne grew resistance to it.)

It's just a pain in the arse tox deal with what acne I have, and all of the blackheads. I figured the acne was more noticable at first, so that was my top priority. I finally heard about the vinegar treatment and within minutes, the deep red spots went to very light pink and the next day all my acne was completely gone. That was the most impressive thing I've ever seen!

Pros Cheap, you can feel it working, and it brings underlying acne to the surface without too much dryness.
Cons Smells; it's made me tear up a few times. I recommend putting the cap back on the bottle as soon as you've used it.
Bottom line It kind of had positive and negative effects for me. Being female, I have monthly cystic acne, plus the occasional little guys. The day I got this, I had a big cyst coming in. It came to a head in 3 days. That's impressive. It also brought to a head some little ones that were lurking around. Yes, I look worse for the moment, but at least that stuff isn't as deep under my skin anymore. The downside was, I had this little patch of about 7 tiny pimples/bumps, and while it brought those to a head, too (therefore they were gone), it also dried that patch on my face out. To fix that, I put acv everywhere but there, and kept lotion on my face and was able to mostly rub the dry spot off today. Far as red marks, I have one really bright one on my forehead that I can't tell if it's fading yet. Still, despite it all, I'd say it's worth it, especially for the price, and I'm gonna hang with it awhile and see what happens.

Bottom line IVe used it for a week, full strength a few x, half strength a few x, its healed a few single spots but overall hasnt done too much yet, like how people say it makes dry skin better. mine has been flaking a little.

Pros Shrinks pores, takes away redness, lightens red scars
Cons Smells bad, stings your skin if you don't dilute it
Bottom line I love this stuff! It's cheap and natural and works great.
I use it after I wash my face at night (I don't use it in the morning because I don't want to smell like vinegar all day). First I dip a cotton ball into some water, and then into the vinegar. I wipe it onto my entire face and let it dry before putting on my moisturizer.
Everybody should try this!

Pros works almost instantly, easy to use, affordable
Cons none at all
Bottom line i have been using this product for two whole days and my acne is almost completely gone. i can't even believe it. okay so yesterday morning i started drinking it, in water and honey, 3-4 times a day. just basically always drinking water throughout the day (as usual) and always having some ACV in it. i also have been applying it topically all over my face a few times a day -- just rinsing my face and re-applying it whenever i felt like it. i was pretty determined, man! anyway, i have come to love the taste of it, not only because mixed with water and honey it tastes like some kind of crazy apple juice, but it's saving my life for real. i love this sh*t! it proves that you don't need to spend a million dollars on a prescription face wash or cream. it's all about the natural remedies, baby! i'm so down with this stuff!!!!

Pros The initial smell
Cons Keeps rosacea breakouts from becoming worst
Bottom line I've been suffering with mild to moderate rosacea since 2000. Up until now, I've had to rely on tetracycline or doxycycline whenever a flareup would occur. (usually about two to three months after my last prescription). Doctors are hesitant about simply giving me a full year prescription, so I go thru the same routine every time a flareup occurs. Recently I got fed up and tried vinegar.

Although the vinegar doesn't make the rosacea completely disappear, it most certainly keeps it in check until I can get a new prescription. I'm one of those sufferers who's outbreaks are directly tied to hot and humid weather. It's been downright oppressive here lately, and the current flareup hasn't gotten any worse. In the past, the heat and humidity would make the flareup embarrassingly severe. The vinegar is obviously a far cheaper alternative to the overpriced stuff that I've already tried; including the obscenely overpriced (and useless) Metrogel at $150 a tube.

Pros wonderful
Cons stinky, like everyone else says, but the smell completely evaporates in about 2 minutes
Bottom line I love this because it's the best thing I've tried and yet the very cheapest (and I've tried Proactive, too). If this was in a bottle and marketable as an acne product, you could easily sell it for $30 a bottle; I'd buy it at least. There are some things you can do to minimize the smell like adding essential oils to it. I have been using coconut oil to take my makeup off (rub coconut oil on the face to dissolve makeup and then wipe clean with a wet rag), and then I soak a cottonball in the diluted ACV (about 2 parts water, 1 part vinegar) and that takes off every trace amount of anything while making my skin look wonderful afterwords. Literally I saw the improvement in my skin the very first time I put it on. And my skin no longer has those pesky dry patches, as this has restored my natural PH balance. At first it might make your skin a little red for the first couple of minutes, but once your skin adjusts to it, it no longer does it. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!
