| Pros | Cheap, effective, fast results |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stinks and makes your eyes tear up when you apply it. Pretty drying, so don't skimp on moisturizer. |
| Bottom line | This was a desperate attempt to get rid of my awful red marks -- though my acne is under control with SA, the red marks make it look like I'm covered in zits anyway! I just rub it all over on my face, undiluted, a few times a day, and moisturize thoroughly after each application. This is probably way too much for most people (so be careful!), and stinks horribly until it dries, but it works for me. 6 years of ugly crimson macules have faded away to a light pink in only a few days, and my skin has a nice glow to it. At this rate, I'll look like I was born with perfect, dewy skin by the end of the month. Best fiver I ever spent! |

| Pros | Effectively controls acne, reduces breakouts, can be used as an all-over treatment, affordable |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smells terrible the first time few times you apply it and the initial burn and redness may freak you out at first |
| Bottom line | I picked up a bottle of raw, unfiltered, ACV from a health food store per this sites recommendation. At $4 for a 32oz bottle, it's worth a shot. Prior to this, I'd tried practically everything. Proactive is a joke. Walmart's selection of Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid products, over time, over dried my face when used as directed. I've now been using ACV for about two months now and this is the clearest my skin has been since I was 10! I apply to my whole face using a cotton ball and I picked up a $1 spray bottle to apply to the rest of my body. When I stared using it, I was applying it everyday for about a week before bed. When it began to dry my face, I started using it every other day. Now, I'm back to daily, but I only leave it on for 20 minutes prior to a shower in the mornings. This may not work for everyone, but I'd say it's worth a try. Use it, and find out what application works to get your acne under control! |

| Pros | -Shrinks zits -Shortens the life length of zit |
|---|---|
| Cons | -smell |
| Bottom line | OK, so some people apparently use the ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) all over their face to get rid of red marks or whatever, but I personally just use it as remedy for pesky zits that appear every now and then. All I do is take a Q-Tip and dab it into the jar of ACV, I then add wet the Q-Tip w/ a tiny bit of water, so that one end of the Q-Tip has water and ACV fused together. And voila, it usually makes them disappear overnight, or a couple days. |

| Pros | Controls oily skin, very cheap! Will stop new formations... at least at first. Then (skip to cons) |
|---|---|
| Cons | Then it stopped working. Broke out the worst in over 3 years! USed morning and night! The smell is NOT bad after 2 weeks |
| Bottom line | It helped for a month, then my skin fought it an won... sigh. I am one of those people that will never get rid of my acne. This sucks... I keep using it though, still controls the oily skin. |
