This really does work but you must be patient. I wait about 3o minutes after washing my face to apply using only a pea size drop for my entire face. At first I only used twice a week and gradually increased to every other day. Does make you break out at first and make your face red but if you start out slowly to give your skin time to adjust the redness isn't that bad. Also helps with wrinkles and sun damage! My husband is in the miltary so I get this for free. I use this (Avita .025) along with a benzoyl peroxide wash and also use that for spot treating.

Military Doctor just prescribed me this along with Clindamycin. The stuff seems like it will work; I've only been on it a few days. I don't know if it makes a difference but I was given a cream solution of Retin-A and it does'nt burn at all, plus I have sensitive skin. The price seems pretty high when I looked it up but thankfully I'm in the military and I get all this stuff free.

I have been using Retin A for several years on and off. In high school, I had almost sever acne with cystic type pimples that resulted in scarring. After using Retin A with Tetracyclin in just two weeks I could see a remarkable differnce. Even friends were commenting on the improvement of my face. I just got back on Retin A after a few years along with microdermabrasions and chemical peels because my face looked very dull and aging. At first I broke out pretty bad, but after about 2 months you could see it working. Its been now 4 months and its getting better.

This stuff really didn't work for me. I think I would have been better off using BLEECH I think it would have been less abrasive. It totally dries your face out so bad.

I've been using tretinoin 0.05% for the past six years and it has worked very well for my oily, acne prone skin. Now, my skin is clear except for some stubborn blackheads on my nose. Do try it, but preferably under supervision from your doctor.

Although I have yet to make it through a month on Retin-A because, yes, it does make your skin much worse before it gets better and I haven't had the patience, I can tell you that a very good friend of mine who is now 37 years old has been using Retin-A for years and her skin looks incredible. Retin-A has removed all of her fine lines and wrinkles, she has little crows feet, and she looks like she's 28. She encouraged me to use it and told me flat out - the first TWO months suck, but once you get past it, you'll see the results you want. Furthermore, studies have shown that if you were overexposed to sun (i.e. frying your face in the sun without sunscreen), using Retin-A will reduce the amount of sun damage significantly (i.e. those little awful age spots that start showing up in your 40's). If any of you have used one of those dermatological lights that take a photo of your face showing the age spots that have not yet appeared, it's a serious eye-opener. My friend has zero underlying age spots because of her continued use of Retin-A. For those of you complaining about the cost, go to Mexico. You can get Retin-A everywhere down there and it's about $20 for a large tube - and, yes, it's exactly the same stuff. That's where my friend has gotten hers for the past 10 years. For those of you complaining about your skin getting worse: That happens because the Retin-A removes the top layers of skin, allowing all of the garbage that's sitting under your skin to finally come out. As you remove more layers of skin, more and more garbage comes out, especially the deep acne. Once all of the acne is allowed to escape, then your skin starts getting better. Each person is different, each person will not have the same results in exactly the same time.

Worst acne medication I've ever been on... and I've been on a lot. Terrible. Greasy on your skin and doesn't help.
