I am 24 years old and I have been on Retin-A for the past 3 months. I used it several years ago and had so-so results. I went off it to try ProActive and it worked wonders for the first year I was on it. Then I became used to it and went back to my dermatologist. He started me off on Differin, which sucked, and worked me up to Retin-A. I have been applying it religiously despite the peeling and burning and redness, and I have yet to see any positive results. I think 3 months is a fair "trial run" and I'm about to give up. Maybe the Regimen will yield better results...

The trick with Retin A is to control the dose and not give up. The first few weeks might be hard and it may be better to use it every other or every third night and a moisturizer on the off nights and then gradually build up if and when your skin can handle it. If it's burning and irritating use it less often but don't stop using it. And use a sunscreen everyday even if the sun isn't out. The peeling and irritation go away once your skin adjusts to the Retin A. It won't alays happen. I've been using it for years and my skin looks great

Used on and off for adult acne. Didn't see a change except from the new found dryness. Last time I used it, I got an under the skin rash, and extreme dryness on top of that with raised skin. My MD said I had a chemical burn and my next step is to go to a Dermotologist. My face looks awful, and undercover accentuates the dryness.

This product is no miracle product. It requires a lot of patience and anyone starting it should definitely read the website. For me, it did everything it said it would - there was an initial breakout (which was pretty bad) and after 2 months or so my skin was completely clear. You have to keep using it even after your skin is clear, or you will start to break out. However, when this happened to me and I started the product again, I didn't have the initial breakout period like the first time.

i've been using it for about four months and i don't really notice any difference. before i used it, i actually had periods of perfectly clear skin but since i've been using it...never. I started it to get rid of the occasional large pimples but now i'm stuck with perpetual annoying little pimples.

Retin A works great for me, If I have a zit, I put it on it and by the next morning the zit has shrunk to about half it's size and is almost gone. It also helps reduce and get rid of acne and chicken pox scars over time, and helps to get rid of and prevent wrinkles. Yes, It makes your face peel and burn and feel really irritaited, so Just start out using it say one time a week, and then do that for 2 to 3 weeks then do it two times per week and do that for say 2-3 weeks and then increase to 3 times a week, that's what I'm doing so it won't irritate my skin so much, my skin will have 6 days to heal, adjust to the medicine, before I put it on again, I was using it every day like my dermatologist said and It got really bad, my face was hurting all day, and really red, and peeling alot, so now I am using it onece a week at night, and I am using moisurizers as needed on the nights/ or days when I'm not using the retin A. Just stick with it- and start slow with it, thats my advice!! This stuff is awesome and it gets rid of zits very quickly!!!

WOW! MY GOD. THIS STUFF SUCKS. It made my skin worse then it has ever been before. It got EXTREMLY red, inflammed and PAINFULL to say the least! It also created more acne! I don't care if their are 'stages' to any acne product. I'm not going to go through the pain and embarresment like I did on this product!! NEVER AGAIN. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT WHAT-SO-EVER! Do not buy it! It's not worth it!

My 10 year old daughter has been using Retin-A Micro for the past 5 weeks. The first 3 weeks were not easy. The burning, red, dry, and ichy skin would make anyone stop this medicine ASAP but we were well educated by the Dr. & the internet on how this medicine works and the stages your skin goes through before you reach your desired clear skin. My daughter's face also broke out worse than ever, but we had expected it. At week 5 we can now see a big change daily and I would expect that her skin will be clear with in the next 2 weeks. My daughter is very happy and has learned that perseverance does pay off.

I have been on Retin-A Micro (0.1%) for about a week now - my skin is so dry, very red, and I have what looks like blotchy red patches all over my neck... I don't know if this is typical reactions, I have been reading up on it and most information says that dryness and redness are typical - But I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to find out... I don't know, I don't really like this stuff!
