I've been using retin-a micro for about 9 weeks now in combination with brevoxyl(am - wash with brevoxyl; pm- wash with a mild face soap and apply retin-a micro). It's working great! My skin is clear and my skin tone is evening out. The only problem I have is that my skin itches constantly. Not sure if it's the retin-a or the brevoxyl. Hopefully this will subside soon because the results are fantastic!

THis medicine kept me clear for 3 years. But I couldnt stop using it or my acne would come back. The first time I took it, it took awhile to work 2 and a half months to 3 months. I stopped taking it for awhile a year after having PERFECT skin and pimples started to come back but never as bad as before I had taken it. I started using it again. It took about 2 months for my pimples to stop developing it was perfectly clear for a few months but after awhile it never worked 100% like it did before. I started taking birth control pills as well as retin a micro and benza clin. It worked but not 100 percent. I started wearing makeup and using makeup remover. MAKE UP REMOVER and Retin a micro do not mix. My face is [censored] now. I stopped using retin a micro to us benzol peroxide and it was the biggest mistake. I started getting pimples where I didnt before. Im currently on week 13 or 14 of this treatment and im still getting zits. I want to take accutane.

I tried the generic brand of Retin A micro for about 3 weeks. Beside the painful embarassment of my skin being flaky, red, and peeling, I noticed my skin started getting cysts which I have never had before. I stopped taking it and my gyno put me on Birth Control. Differin gel helped me and cleared up my skin completely about three years ago. However, my skin started to break out again after a year. I will never use Retin A again. I'm hoping the birth control will be the answer to my acne.

This stuff is the worst medicini I've ever tried. I've been suffering from acne for about 4 years now, but it was never as bad. For example, I used retin a 00.25 cream on just 1 pimple I had on my cheek, and the next week at least 5 more red pimples broke around the area. Looks to me like it made the acne way worse than it already was. I didn't notice any improvements using this cream. My friend tells me to stop using anything and that that should clear the skin up and leave it un-damaged, anyone has any comments regarding whether not using anything at all would be benefitial in short or long term? Please post below.

Ahhh, Retin-a! You're a cruel master, but a reliable one. I have been on Retin-a in some form or another for 7 years. It has never worked successfully by itself, but, in conjunction with other medications, it has worked well. It has dramatically improved the texture and tone of my skin, and it definitely has a moderating effect on my acne (I also use Klaron, which is terrific). With insurance, generic Retin-a is super-cheap (far cheaper for me than BP gel).

im on week 5 of the treatment and my face is burning. I feel like scraping off all my pimples, but i heard that patience with this drug is needed. i dont like it much right now, but after trying all the product out there I guess i will battle this one out. my sister was on retin-a micro too, and she got on it before I did. at first she had the initial breakouts that I did, but now her face is pretty good. I hope to have the same results. man cant acne be cured i feel so depressed. I havent broken out like this in a while. like i said i will wait it out and face the looks of others. I shall overcome.

this stuff is awful!!! i have sensitive skin, and have had acne since i was an early teen(im now in my early 20s) i used this product when i was around 16 or so. It did in fact clear up my acne, but what it left behind was even worse. My skin was so dry, and irritated, and it has left red blotches and scars that exist today. shortly after ending the treatment i went on accutane, which worked so much better, and although it made my skin dry, it didnt leave the awful red blotches that retin a did. Today, i still suffer from mild breakouts once in a while, and a decent dose of benzoyl peroxide does the trick. Im happy to say that slowly but surely the red blotches left from retin a are starting to go away after so many years. If u have sensitive skin, stay away from retin a or any other similar topical treatment, if ur acne is bad just go straight to accutane or hope that benzoyl peroxide can do the trick.
