listen up. don't kid yourselves any of you. acne is caused by diet. you are what you eat. i had a horrible case of acne especially on my chin and around my mouth. i began eating all fruits and water. nothing else and i mean nothing else and ive been doing this for a one week exactly now. ive done this in combo with retin a micro which has dried out my acne and the dieting has made the rest of skin that wasn't affected by acne absolutely spotless, after this cream works hopefully my entire face will follow once retin a does its job.

Retin-A Micro 0.1% is the only acne medicine that has worked for me without any scary reactions. It is a little more expensive than I'd like, but it works, so I'm happy.

I have had pimples for a very long time. Was initially using Clindamycin and that seemed to work till my skin became immune to it!! Anyways for a few days, I stopped using everything and my skin cleared up really nice but then I made the mistake of going to a dermatologist. She gave me adapalene which worsened by acne( I have acne at places on my face where I have never had acne before!!) Anwways, now she has given me tretinoin...my skin is red but no peeling, lot of blackheads!! Am not sure whether to continue using it or not!!

I am using Retin-A Micro and am really impressed by how fast it worked and how gentle it is for my sensitive skin. I used Renova in the past and had to stop because it was much too harsh and irritating - my skin literally peeled off in sheets with it! I also tried Retin-A .025% and found that it wasn't doing much for my breakouts and whiteheads. I use oil-free moisturizer during the day along with Eucerin SPF 30 or Skinceuticals SPF20. The price of Retin-A micro is too high and when it turns generic I fear that it will still be expensive because even generic retin-a is costly!

Been using Retin A Mico on and off for years and the only bad thing I can say is that it gets worse before it gets better, depening on the severity of your acne, The peeling and redness is annoying but it is to be expected you are after all killing bacteria that's on your face and up underneath the skin. alot of people quit on it because of that but it's well worth the wait. Don't expect to put it on and have a clear face in the morning using Retin is a process, and if you expect to much to soon then you won't be satified with it. However if you can stick it out your skin will look well a hell of alot better.

This is the worst acne medication I have EVER used in my life. I can relate to everyone who said discussed the flakiness, redness and EXTREME breakouts. I went to my dermatologist for a very minor acne problem and after using retin-A I am left with a major acne issues!!!
I just came back from an aesthetician who told me that the retin-a has completely killed my skin and it will take a couple of weeks to heal! She also mentioned that just this month 5 other girls came to her with the same exact problem.
Please stay away...this stuff is POISON!!!

It'll make you clear in the beginning (3-7 months) and you'll be amazed by it. Then, you'll start to get zits that won't go away for a LONG LONG time. Plus, you get more red marks on your face because retin-A brings blood vessels closer to your skin. I hate retin-A.

I started using Retin-A Micro 0.04% 10 days ago and I am so impressed. It was almost like my skin went through phases.. The first two days it got really clear and then on the third it became quite red and started flaking off. I skipped a night, instead opting for a soothing moisturizer after washing my face. Then, of course, it does exactly what it says it will: it brought all of the underneath pimples to the surface. Now, on the tenth day, my face is clearer than it has been in years, and it's not even very dry anymore.

I used Retin-A for quite a few years when i was in my 40's as a skin refining cream, to shrink pores and get rid of fine lines and sun freckles. In the beginning it was irritating, causing redness and peeling (which by the way means it is
working!!). I made sure to put a moisture cream around my eyes
before applying the Retin A. I used .10 concentration. I would
leave it on for at least an hour or more and then would apply
a light moisturizer, like an organic Aubrey moisturizer, not an oily one. sometimes I would mix a little vitamin e oil in with
the moisturizer. I had amazing results. It not only made my
skin clearer and smoother, but it did get rid of fine lines.
I stopped using it, why I don't recall, but recently started
to use it again. I am now 59. I have been using Creme de la mer for a few years as a moisturizer and love it. However
I noticed my skin looked rough, big pores, brown spots etc.
I just started using Retin A again, following up with
Creme de la Mer about an hour or two after and the results
are spectacular. I can't believe how well it is working in
only a couple of weeks. You have to bear with the initial
skin peeling and deal with the drying by applying a
a creamy hypo-allergenic moisturizer an hour or two afterwards. The results are truly remarkable. I was doing
micro-dermabrasion for a while but Retina is more effective
and less expensive, especially if you get it from a Canadian
website. It's much cheaper in Canada. I love it. Give it a
chance to work, and remember, moisturize a couple of hours later. good luck.
