i have been suffering from real bad acne for the past two years and have tried most of the treatments...but to no or very less effect....but i think that toothpaste works real well.it cleared out the redness ,small pimples and even the larger ones in about 2-3 days.the white colgate paste works very well.but be sure to check your skin for sensitivity to the toothpaste before you apply.also in case you think the paste is making your skin too dry try this...... make a mixture of 3 tablespoons of honey and i teaspoon of cinnamon powder.it makes your skin really soft and honey acts as an antiseptic..try it..it really helps

I tried this after all the hype but to no avail - I didn't notice a single bit of difference and was really disappointed. But hey it's worth a try.

I used this techinique that really worked!!!!(really cheap too!)1.fill the sink with alittle bit of water and put about 1/2 cup of salt in it 2.soak a cotton ball in the sink for bout 30 seconds then squeeze out the water 3.put a cotton ball on the pimple and push down(it should tingle)do that for 15 minutes 4.rinse your face and put toothpaste on the pimple and go to sleep!!!!the next morning it's gone!!!!My der. told me this secret so you have to try it now my skin is beautiful!!!good luck and look beautifl!!!!!

After reading all the posts here and finding a general consensus I tried putting toothpaste onto my face which has 4-5 pimples near my side burns. And much to my amazement, It works. I mean it brought the pus up and my acne lesions heal whenever i see pus coming out of them. All the other tender ones which do not produce pus, take a considerable long long time to heal. I used Colg/-\te normal toothpaste no gel stuff. So people out there its a green signal from me ! :-)

NEVER USE TOOTHPASTE ON SKIN. The toothpaste made my skin really red. Luckly I just applied it on my cheek. The redness took almost a day to go away. People please stick to over the counter products they work much better.

if you have sensitive skin, the wrong toothpaste may damage your skin.
