I have had acne since I was 11- now 17 and I always found toothpaste didn't always work. The best stuff to get rid of those nasty spots is Freederm- It's pretty good stuff, Flattens a spot overnight! You can get this stuff over the counter at a chemist.

I heard all this talk about using toothpaste. But hey, i'm only 13 and i have no idea how to get rid of acne. I mean, its everywhere on my face! Its seriously gross. Everyone at school has clear skin and i just want to know whats the secret? I have toothpaste on my skin right now and i don't know how its gonna work. But i'll keep you poasted. I could really use some feedback. I'm going up north this weekend so i really don't wann try anything fancey and stay in the bathroom for a really long time. I just want it quick and done and get in and out. I really could use some feedback!!

Good for spot treatments.
It is not a good idea to use it all over your face. Never had a problem with redness, but i also used accutane and never had a problem with that or any toher medication even when my doctors said never to go outside without sunscreen.
You also have to remember that with any acne treatment or anything that drys out your skin, it will appear to be worse at first because it will bring all the small, non visible, pimples to the surface (every prescription even accutane will tell you this)
its always worth a try i say but i wouldnt use it if:
you are also using another medication
you are succeptible to redness
after a week you dont see any improvment
also ive noticed it can cause big pimples to scab over as if you were picking at them even if you dont (in my mnd id rather have this for a while rather than a big one for 2 weeks)

if u have acne scaring put lemon juice on the dark spots,but if u have dry skin u might want to use honey to

i have had some success with toothpaste in the past, but i have heard that whitening toothpaste is bad, and can cause more pimples? Does anyone know if that is true? i got one now i desperately need to get rid of.

hey guyz n girlz after reading these commentz i felt very happi that their r ppl out there hu r in d same situation az me i fhot 2maself i waz d only 1 hu made such a stupid mistake by putting toothpaste on ma face cuz of sum friend(by the way i cursed that bitch boy) hu told me 2do this, when i done this 2nightz b4 the next morning my upper cheeckz went really bright red cuz ov d fair skin i hav, normaly my skin iz free 4rm spotz bt dis tym i hd 2 3 spotz on d right n left cheek which appear bright red az a baboonz buttom n that reali disapointed me now am puttin on sum cream which containz benzol paroxide, i just hope that work's 2get rid ov these red marks on ma face.I just want to say 2all you ppl out there bs8 ov luck n dont worry 2much,dnt pay 2much attention 2ur face n enjoy life ('',)l8erz u all PEACE!

it might work for some people but for others like me it left my skin really red so try at your own risk

Yep...I like it....Ive been using it over seven years. didnt know there were other toothpaste faces out there. Hi Yall!!! THis is great, cheap, but sometimes dry my face out. If this is your case? Use a facial cream after about 10 minutes...And poof, model skin, (i should know) hint, hint)

I guess you can say it works but not really it made realy no change on me but i only have one pimple on my forehead and it bugs me because everyone always looks at me because im beautiful.(lol)so ya i really want to find a way to get rid of them fast without going to the store and buying anything.so if anyone out there knows of a way you can get rid of them using household appliences like food or something let me know and e mail me at [email address removed] thank you all very much.
