I have had a few blemeshes on my face for about 3 years now. I've tried proactiv, natures cure, and a whole munch of perscription and over the counter medication. My pimples seemed to go away for a bit but then they would reappear in the same spots. I then looked for home remedies for acne and toothpaste was the most common. Ive tried using toothpaste in all sorts of ways, and they all work extremeley well, but some have bad side effects, such as red scars. What I find that works best is in the morning in the shower, I wet my face then take a very small amount of toothpaste on my finger and rub it into a lather in my hands, then rub it on my face for a few seconds. It burns, but you get used to it. After I get out, my face is freezing, but the redness of my pimples fades. Afterwards, I pat dry my face (DO NOT RUB) and dry off and get dressed. By now I notice that my skin is really really dry, so I use a moisturiser that doesn't clog pores (Non comedegenic). At night time, I take small amounts of toothpaste and put it directly over my blemishes. DO NOT RUB ALL OVER YOUR FACE! YOU WILL WAKE UP RED ALL OVER! This will sting more than washing with the toothpaste but its up to you to decide which stings more, the acne or the toothpaste. Put this on about a half hour to an hour before you go to bed cause if the toothpaste doesn't dry, your pillow will get kinda messy. When you wake up, wash the toothpaste off immedeatley to reveal less red blemishes and clearer skin. If your acne is very deep into your skin, it may not clear up right away. The first night or two may turn your red blemishes into white heads, which means the bacteria from the pore is rising up out of the pore. Toothpaste works very well for many reasons, one being that it gives your skin a cool feeling, which increases blood flow to your face.

Toothpaste works really well, this is what I do. Put it on in the evening while you're at home. Dab it on the redness, but don't leave a big blob of white toothpaste on it. Try to spread it evenly against the surface of it. Just ignore it, and it should dry in about 15 minutes. You will see that it has DRASTICALLY reduced redness, the lump may still be there but it is the illusion that works wonders. If you scrub the paste off the redness of course will show again because you've re-irritated the pimple. So for school or work, put it on first thing in the morning and when you're done your morning routine, the redness will be a lot more forgiving. This also dries out the pimple so I assume it will go away soon enough. Just don't be really rough when you wash it off. Hope this helps!

Was watching TV, and a guy recommended it. I tired it for 15 minutes because the only toothpaste I had was with whitening stuff; but believe it or not but some of my pimples and acne had actually dried out and disappeared. The redness is still there but it disappears within 24 hours or so like all facial blemishes. It's also worth noting to wash your face a lot after using this. But nevertheless it works.

ONLY USE THE PLAIN WHITE TOOTHPASTE (SOMETHING LIKE SENSODYNE, BECAUSE ALL THE EXTRA SH*T IN THOSE OTHER TOOTHPASTES DONT ABSORB INTO THE PIMPLES)

Has to be a plain, white toothpaste---no gel or extra stuff.
