Well, im reading all these comments about it not working, and I have to say I am really impressed with it! only only been taking it for 2 weeks, and I have totaly cleared up on my face and its clering my back up nicely, just need somthing for the scars on my back and that will be me sorted.

Im wondering if my results are more obvious because I have no history of acne only after being a steroid taker for a few years did it start to flare up

I took tetracyclene for three years. It helped a bit, but it was not wondercure. On the down side, it ruined my immune system. I was constantly sick (for years!) after I stopped taking it, and even got sick a lot (viral infections) while I was taking it. It also made my skin extra sensitive to the sun while I was taking it -- quite the bummer since I lived by the beach. I might advise others to try it, but don't stay on it for a long time. I finally found a vitamin/mineral combo based around high dosages of zinc that gave me equal or better results, so I was able to get off the tetracyclene.

Well I'm on my second month of tetracycline 500MG capsules and honestly I think it doesn't work as well as many people say it does. Although this is only my second month, my doctor said after 6 weeks my skin will improve. Well doc, I'm still waiting... My skin is slightly improved but not to my satisfaction. Do you think that it will clear up in a few more month. Also it sux that u have to take it an hour before we eat and two hours after! It's really hard to find time to take it. Hopefully it'll work for me!

Give Oxytetracycline a miss if your acne is serious. If its not too bad then I guess this could help - it helped me a little but my course had no set length so I just kept on taking it! GET AN HONEST PERSON TO COMMENT ON YOUR ACNE EVERY NOW AND THEN. THAT WAY YOU'LL REALLY KNOW IF IT WORKS.

I'm still battling my acne at the age of 20 - grief

at first my acne was really bad, i tried some acne treatments they were working for a bit, but just wasnt enough for me. Then my friend introduced me to Minocin and i began seeing results, it helps with scarring which is something i want to get rid of, overall it is good and i recommend it.

I started out on Doxycyclin and it really didn't do anything for me so my doctor switched me to minocyclin. It completely cleared up my skin after a couple months or so but I still had oily skin and blackheads. Then a few months later my skin got really bad and is at its worse breakout stage ever. The antibiotic stopped working!

i've been on tetralysal for quite a while now, and so far, i've had very few problems.

it can sometimes be slightly unpleasant to actually take, as the capsules are pretty big, and very occasionally, they make you feel slightly ill.

as for my skin, i used to have mild acne on my face, and only moderate acne on my back and chest. My back and chest have completely cleared, and my face is better than it used to be.

it worked well for me :)

I've been on tetracycline for about 2months now. Before I started I had really bad acne all over my back, that bled every day. Since then, I still have about the same but its nearly completely stopped bleeding. I don't know if this is because it was infected and now its not or because i stopped scrubbing my back, but the acne is still there. You can't eat 1hr after or 2hrs before u take it!

It was ok i used it with adapalene. Imrovement was noticable but not enough to cause g8 joy. Stopped using adapalene as caused far too much drying, redness and sores- real shock to the system.
