Pros none
Cons Made me break out worse than I ever have in my life
Bottom line I tried this for a week instead of BP. I diluted it with grape seed oil, which doesn't clog pores. For the week I used it, my skin looked nice, no redness or anything, and only a couple zits as usual. But after a week started developing little bumps all over my entire face. It looks like every single pore got clogged and inflamed. I switched back to the normal regimen, but the bumps still have not gone away. I look like a monster. I even had to call in sick for work because I am so embarrassed. I HIGHLY recommend you test this product on a small patch of your face for at least a week before using.

Pros -When diluted properly without oil, it can help reduce swelling and help heal blemishes faster.
-Fairly cheap
-Natural
Cons -Warning: If you are suddenly getting random breakouts, and in places you usually do not breakout, consider when you started using this oil. It is an OIL, afterall, and apparently it WILL clog pores if undiluted.
I thought I was diluting it with water, but apparently it is not water soluble.
-Very strong scent
Bottom line -This had confused the heck out of me... I've used tea tree oil for years, but NEVER the straight oil. Tea tree oil I've used were always from another product that had small percentages of it. I tried the pure oil this time, and diluted it with just a bit of water. I've been noticing constant breakouts on areas where I applied this. The areas were also much oiler. I never had suspected that it was tea tree oil because I've used this for so long in other products. Be aware! I've read many people have broken out from using Tea tree oil, and that it DOES clog pores (even stated by manufacturers.

Pros - This didn't make me break out any more than I normally do
- No redness or having my skin peeling when I used this treatment
Cons - I didn't necessarily break out more, but I had the feeling that my face was a lot oiler the next day. You get a nice refreshing feeling right away after using this product, but the following day, my face didn't feel that great.
- The smell is interesting. You get used to it after wearing the formula for a while
- Hard to find. I had to buy mine at the Body Shop.
Bottom line Unless you're a big fan of natural remedies and would love to try something new, I suggest you not buy this product. I had to buy mine at the Body Shop for $9. I also tried the Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask (bought on sale for $6, originally priced at $15). The tea tree mask is similar to the tea tree oil in the same way that it makes my skin feel more oily the next day. AND YOU DON'T WANT THAT.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to try the product, I just never got the results that I expected I would. Maybe if I chose to use the product for more than a few weeks?

Pros A wide varitys of uses
Cons strong smell though I think it's ok
Bottom line I've been using tea tree oil for many puposes over the last ten years. I've used it on infected wounds, against uranary tract syndrom, and are exspesially amazed by how good it works on mouth ulcers when aplied early, with first signs of break out. I use it pure on skin in some cases, but it is very important to avoid high doses. I think it works great on cyst on the back and on pustules on chin and nose. For some reasons, I don't know why, it has no good effect and might even worsen breakouts on my cheeks and forhead. But overall it is something of a small apotetechary and a must have for me.

Pros Very effective with regular use.
Doesn't over-dry skin.
Invigorating scent (to me!)
Affordable.
Cons Some may find the smell off-putting.
Not great as a spot treatment.
Bottom line I use the whole Tea Tree line from the Body Shop, and it's worked wonders for me. But I'm going to say this above all else: Unless you have very oily skin, DON'T USE IT. Drier skin seems to be more sensitive to TTO than, say, my own. (As proven by my friend who decided to use it when she had a bad breakout...)

Otherwise, if you have oily, very acne-prone skin, it's wonderful. Just don't expect a "miracle overnight" result. It won't happen.

Pros did not dry out skin, no burning, killed a few pimples
Cons caused like 6 cysts to develop on what once was a clear cheek
Bottom line i use a eucalyptus and tea tree oil bar soap to wash my face, which works extremely well for me, however i still had a few pimples i wanted to get rid of, and some scarring i wanted to lighten. i saw the rave reviews on here, and needing a spot treatment, i decided to give it a shot. i didn't think it would be a problem, considering it's already in my facewash that i love, so i put it on as a spot treatment one night. the next morning my scars already looked lightened and my zits had seemed to go down. so i decided to use it during the day too, again as a spot treatment, under lotion and makeup. i dont know if that's what did it, but after only a few days of this, i woke up one morning and i had like 5 cysts on one cheek, big, nasty red ones. my skin had been soooo close to being clear, with mainly scarring to be dealt with, and then BOOM, breakout over night. that NEVER happens to me. the places i broke out were the LAST places i EVER tend to break out. before buying, i had read some reviews of this happening to people, but thought it wouldn't happen to me because tea tree oil is already in my face wash, and seems to work great! but apparently putting undiluted tea tree oil even only on spots somehow causes more pimples. maybe it's purging or something, i dunno. but since i stopped using it as a spot treatment, my bumps are already on their way to being gone. maybe tea tree oil is only good as ONE of the ingredients in something. NOT as the sole ingredient. i mean, the bottle even says: Do NOT use full strength on face. But stupid me did it anyways. funny thing is, it never burned or itched or anything crazy. just caused huge red bumps that covered my left cheek! ugh. it sucks cause i was soo close to being completely clear. once again, my overzealousness got the best of me. i'm learning that sometimes it's better to settle for a few zits than take a chance and jeopardize your whole face.

Pros Works fast, brightens complexion, Smells refreshing (to me at least :)
Bottom line I picked up some tea tree oil at a local organic grocery store about a week ago because I heard about the healing power it had on the face. I'm completely satisfied, as it works wonders for my skin. I usually have extremely dry skin (I was a former proactive user, and that made it worse). With tea tree oil, my skin doesen't dry out (as long as I put a moisturizer on aferwards, and even sometimes, i'll ad a few drops of tea tree oil to my moisturizer just to give it an extra boost. Don't waste your money on proactive, or other "miracle" acne products. This is the real deal, and will clear your skin!

Pros Healthy for skin. Prevents acne similar to BP.
When used in conjunction with other products can be very effective.
Cons Not great as spot treatment.
Bottom line I mix lots of this with Spectro's moisturizer for blemish prone skin (great moisturizer which contains salicylic acid) and it works for me just as well, if not better than BP.
Benzyl peroxide can be very damaging to skin long term. It produces radicals which, much like harmful sun rays, can cause premature aging.
Check out my review on Spectro's cleanser as that also contributes to my clear skin.

Pros - Fades pimples
- Cheap

At night and in the morning I would put a cotton swab into the tea tree oil and hold it onto my pimple for about 20 seconds.
Cons - Hard to find in stores
- Take sooooo long to work!
Bottom line It does stop the pimple from getting any bigger but it took 2 days for me to see a small difference in the colour, not in size. I would not look to this product if you want a pimple going fast but I would use it as a starting product to stop the formation.

Pros - worked quickly
- natural
- smells refreshing (that might be just me)
- cheap
- reduced red marks and old scars
Cons - skin felt oily
- stung a bit
- messy
Bottom line I mixed a few drops with a dime sized portion of Ponds moisturizing cream. I left it on for an hour while i did some homework at night. But i felt like it might be too much for my skin and i didn't want to sleep all oily, so i washed it off.

The next morning, my pimples were under control. My skin tone looked more even. The thing i liked the most was that my old acne scars had considerably faded.

I think if i used this consistantly it would have worked. But its too messy and oily for my likes.
