Pros: None really. Cons: Dried out my skin, cysts and scars remained where they were even after applying for over a week, not the miracle topical i was hoping for Bottom Line: not sure if i'm being too impatient, but after applying tea tree oil for 3 weeks, nothing seems to be happening to my acne. Pros: It dries up the pimples. Eliminates cysts in just a week or so. Less inflammed breakouts Cons: Causes breakouts (read below to understand) Turns my scars brighter and healing pimples redder. Makes my pimples come to a head Bottom Line: I love this product. This is my BP but better because it doesn't cause as much dryness. I use it as a spot treatment for really big, nasty pimples and cysts. Be warned, I've learnt the hard way that you can only use this as a spot treatment (but mine is100%pure, so I'm not certain about diluted solutions) because at first, it cleared me up quite a bit, but then, I noticed that it started to make me breakout around my mouth. I NEVER BREAK OUT ON MY UPPER LIP. It also caused cysts on my chin and whiteheads on my upperforehead. I have combo skin which is oily on my forehead and especially my nose, but dry on my cheeks and normal-ish on my mouth area. I think the oily parts of my face could handle it but it was too drying for the normal parts of my skin so it caused a lot of irritation and broke me out there. It is also an oil, so putting it on the very oily parts of my skin gave me whiteheads. It's sort of a doubled edged knife in a way. It's a good product but it can turn on you. Pros: The product seems to be working by drying up the pimples. The skin feels really clean after putting on the products. Cons: It has an undesirable smell. It is expensive too. It may take time for the product to work and clear up the blemishes. Bottom Line: I have been using The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil line (facial wash, toner, day time moisturizer, and night gel). Although it is expensive, it is worth a try. However, I may not be sure if it is the effects of the products since I am also taking flax seed supplements, vitamin c with rose hips supplements and multivitamins. Pros: This really works well for dandruff, cuts, bites, etc. Dilute w/ a carrier oil like jojoba before applying on the skin. I love to put this in my mouth wash as well. Cons: This did not seem to work for my acne but it still has many other uses and thus I will still be repurchasing this again and again. Pros: i dont know yet, only using it for a day but seems good Cons: weird texture! Bottom Line: i just started this yesterday and its not like other tee tree oils its a stick and feels waxy, not like liquid and oily! Pros: I have been using tea tree oil facial wash, toner, and night gel to get rid of my recurring acne. I have noticed that it dried up the acne on the first week. My skin feels clean and looks better. Cons: The oil has a temporary weird smell. The results of this ingredient are not dramatic. I may have to wait for more weeks before it clears out. It is also a little bit expensive in the Philippines since the product comes from Australia. Bottom Line: It's a good product. A person with acne should try it out if it matches the skin type and its needs. Recommended: Yes Usage: Francis has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: It WORKS! I'm amazed at this stuff, and I've tried every thing on the market. Cons: None Bottom Line: Worth the try! I wash my face with my normal Neutrogena scrub. Then I rinse as usual. Then I add 1 drop of the Tea Tree Oil to a cotton ball moistened with water. I dab it on my trouble zones, and that's it! I'll dab again throughout the day if I feel a new pimple pop up, and it dries up quickly. I love this stuff. Recommended: Yes Usage: Jennifer has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Natural and safer, milder than BP, stops cystic acne from blwoing out of proportion, heals spots Cons: No dramatic results. You have to be patient Bottom Line: I started doind the BP regimen but my skin just cannot cope with 2x applciation of BP. Mt skin was dry and peeling and looking unhealthy. I decided to maintain my nightly BP routine but looked for an alternative for my AM regimen. I mix this with aloe vera then 2 frops of 100% TTO from Thrusday Plantation. It heals spots pretty quickly and prevents cycstic acne from becoming monster-sized. No, it doesn't heal cyuctic acne in one day but it does heal it slowly from within. I'm not totally clear yet but I have hope on this product. It definitely made my skin healthier and smoother and matte. It is worth a try and its natural. For long term use, I'd rather stick to this than BP as I cannot imagine putting that on my face for years to come. It sucks having adult acne all of a sudden at 29, it caught me totally bu surprise and it went bad really quickly. Hopefully TTO can give me my clear, healthy skin back, slowly but surely. Pros: None (for me). Cons: Just didn't work for me... Bottom Line: I put the TTO on my face in the morning before moisturizing and at night in replace of my BP. I also rubbed it on my shoulders at night in hopes that it would help the scars on my shoulders (I have many allergies and when I have an allergic reaction I break out with hives/gross pimple-like things on my shoulders). Today (one week later) my skin on my face is peeling and is much worse (I broke out in very tiny little bumps on my chin and cheeks, which has never happened before). Also, my shoulders have 4 or 5 big red bumps on them :( I'm disappointed because I really wanted this stuff to work since it's a reasonable price and is "all natural". Also, as a side note, my boyfriend thought I smelled like a "mouldy basement"... However, I recommend this to some people because I'm sure it is effective for some. I'm going to go back to using BP again and will definitely try TTO in the future. Recommended: Yes Usage: Lola has used this item for about a week. Pros: started to make acne marks dissappear literally in two to three days. Cons: the smell isn't that great but i'm willing to put that aside to make my humiliating acne scars go away. Bottom Line: Great to us if you have acne scars, ultimately inexpensive, nothing works quite like this. Although, my acne scars were bad they have shown some improvement over two weeks and i hope it continues to make them go away. Living with my acne scars has been hard because i'm a cheerleader and a majorette and i never felt happy and able to express myself. I'm gonna pray that this little bottle of tea tree oil continues as it has and completely clear my face, that would be more than i could ever ask for!
