Pros: Vanishes unwanted blemishes very quickly, doesn't irritate the area and if it is, since its a natural product the irritation should only last a little while, I kind of like the smell xD Cons: dries a bit, but thats all. Bottom Line: I have never tried Tea Tree Oil before today, but within a half hour the severity of my acne went down! I was so shocked! best acne medication so far! Pros: Dries out pimples, clears up black heads, and helps prevent new break outs Cons: The smell is bad but after a while you kind of get used to it Bottom Line: My mom had an old remedy book and tea tree oil was in it to help clear acne. Bottom line for a yr I have been looking for a product that works and this is the only thing that does. I have been using it for a month everyday at first and now just every other day. Grant it, it does dry out your skin a little but I use this at night after washing my face with a non scent and antibacterial soap then in the mornings I wash my face again and apply moisturizer that doesn't cause oily skin.. Pros: natural Cons: doesn't really work Bottom Line: I'm all for natural products. This one however left my pimples more red and gave me hyperpigmentation marks. I have oily but sensitive skin and this was simply too strong for me...bp doesn't react good with my skin either obviously every reaction will be different. I would recommend trying this though because it could work for you. ALSO the side effects are not that long-term or serious because it's a natural product :) Recommended: Yes Usage: sheepishjass has used this item for a few months. Pros: It works great for me!! Cons: The smell - only put on @ night before bed Bottom Line: I've tried everything and tea tree oil is the only product that seems to work for me. I don't mind the smell, but it's not something I can wear to my office etc. With that said, applying just at night seems to work fine. Pros: Help dries up pimples and prevents new ones from occuring Good all-around spot treatment as well as toner All Natural!! Cons: Can be extremely drying to the point of skin peeling Burns if you have sensitive skin Smell is acquired Bottom Line: I use this (5-6 drops) diluted with witch hazel twice a day as a toner/treatment. As a spot treatment I drip 1-2 drops right on the spot. It works GREAT. I've been battling with acne ever since puberty and I've tried most of the popular name brands ones, and found that my skin reacted horribly in the long-run to Benzyol Peroxide and other harsh chemicals found in expensive name brands. So I did a bunch of research and came up with a natural alternative to treating my acne, and this tea tree oil is high on the list. In a study, it was actually reported to have the same effect as 5% BP without all the nasty side effects. So bottom line is try it, because it's all natural and potent. But remember to dilute it with witch hazel or other carrier oils (bergamot, lavender, eucalyptus, etc) other wise it will be too harsh. And most importantly, don't forget to follow through with a good moisturizer, even if you have oily skin (for drier skin, I highly recommend 100% Shea Butter) Recommended: Yes Usage: Reviewer has used this item for about a year. Pros: It reduces redness, and helps with oil Cons: The smell is really stong [I could learn to love it though] Bottom Line: I used it nate [undiluted] I wiped it all over face, let dry then put on oil free moisturizer mixed with 3drops of lavender oil. It has been working pretty awesome. My skin wasn't really bad, but enough to make me insecure. Be prepared to exfoliate every other day for the first week or so [I just use half brown sugar and half white]. Do this so the dry skin you are sure to have won't end up clogging pores, giving you more acne. Use it, it can't hurt to try... if you have dryish skin, do the tea tree oil solution 3:10. Otherwise, your skin will probably start to peel. I'm going to post another review after 3 weeks, then after 6, after 8, after 6months. :) Hopefully with good news! Bottom Line: I just want to say that for all of you hoping that this is a miracle product, IT'S NOT! Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic......so it helps get rid of the bacteria that causes acne. Pros: It helps with new pimples if you catch them right away. I was able to stop a good amount before they fully formed. Doesn't dry my skin out, but my skin is naturally oily to begin with. Cons: Nonetheless, it hasn't helped me stop my acne from appearing. I just recently got two large cysts last week that are just now healing.My skin is still very red in those spots. It also smells strong. Bottom Line: I think it good to keep around for the occasional zit that you can catch early. Also, it wouldn't hurt to mix a few drops in your regular toner. I feel it isn't any miracle cure, then again most of know there isn't one otherwise you wouldn't be reading this. Recommended: Yes Usage: jbread has used this item for about a month. Pros: Dries pimples up fast, all natural remedy, reduces scaring and future breakouts. Cons: Smell is strong, makes skin dry out Bottom Line: I have tried almost every product on the market for acne and nothing ever worked for me. I've been using tee tree oil for a few weeks now and I have to say my face looks 50% better then it did when I first started. It brings pimples to a white head which is just pulling all the bad stuff out of your face. After a few weeks I noticed I've hardly had any new pimples form. Just a few little ones. I put it on morning and night after washing my face with a type of cleanser. It tends to dry the skin out though so I put a moisturizer on after the tee tree oil dries. I usually just dab the pimples and scaring areas using a Q-tip or cotton ball. Sometimes I'll rub fresh aloe from the plant on my face after applying the oil, seems to help even out the tone of my skin. I say tee tree oil is definitely worth a try...make sure it's 100* pure. Pros: might work for some people... i like the smell. made blackheads even smaller however.. Cons: i used 100% pure tea tree all over. i have small blackheads, pretty much unnoticeable but the oil made my forehead breakout in pimple like spots on first application.
