| Pros | I used this product for cold sores for a very long time. At the first hint of one appearing, that little tingly feeling, I'd just dab on the TTO every couple of hours and it would go away. I haven't had an actual cold sore for years. I'm just trying it for acne now. But since I've had great results for cold sores I'm thinking it should work. |
|---|---|
| Cons | - It's smell can be overpowering. - The slight sting (for some people) |
| Bottom line | If it doesn't work for your acne you can use it for other things (like cold sores, for example) so your money isn't wasted. |

| Pros | Natural, cheap, smell (some may differ), effective. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Prefer for spot treatment- may be too oily to apply all over face. Can stain clothes. |
| Bottom line | Is a natural benzol peroxide in my opinion. I believe it works like a charm to heal those zits that have already came to the surface or those which are in the process of healing. I found that you're better off with benzol peroxide for those zits beneath the surface of the skin. It will make your skin turn a little red at first but it disappears after a few minutes. I think it also helps to remove the dead skin cells at a quicker pace. I wash my face with Aveeno acne soap, pat-dry and then apply pro-active toner, spot treat with tea tree oil and apply benzol peroxide to the rest of my face. I put foundation directly over tea tree oil- you do not need additional lotion. I really recommend this stuff. |

| Pros | Anti-fungal All Natural Dries out oils from skin Cleans deep within the skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smell could be over powering for most (or vigorously refreshing) |
| Bottom line | Do your research before using any product, herb, or extract. Also research different combinations of herbal oils that can help your skin type overall instead of hoping that one oil can be a cure all. TTO is wonderful. It can be too drying for sensitive skin, but it can be diluted with a carrier oil such as sunflower oil. TTO is awesome for oily acne prone skin types. For sensitive skin, it might be better to wash TTO off after a small period of time (about 30 minutes- 1 hour) Acne prone skin needs to be cleansed from within. While using TTO your skin may break out more before completely being clear due to the fact that TTO is anti-fungal. It is trying to get rid of the bacterial within your skin that you can not see. Smart tip: Always apply a moisturizer after applying TTO. The best moisturizers can also be herbal oils such as Sweet Almond Oil or Rosehip Seed Oil. You do not need much at all just put a dab on your face and rub it all around until absorbed. Repeat until all areas of the face are lightly treated. |

| Pros | Reduces inflammation Good for spot treatments Inexpensive Works quickly All natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can be drying The smell might bother some people, but I actually like it |
| Bottom line | I LOVE tea tree oil. Love it. It's like my all natural BP. If I have an inflamed pimple, or a whitehead or blackhead that I popped, I'll apply some tea tree oil on it with a q-tip and in the morning, you can't even tell there was something there. I think it also prevents it from getting infected. It also dries up zits and makes them a lot less noticeable. Make sure your tea tree oil is 100% and doesn't have any extra stuff in it. For me, it's a nice natural alternative to benzoyl peroxide, and works great for oily skin. (: Just make sure you're not allergic or sensitive to it first before you slather it all over your face, or you might get an unwanted allergic reaction. |

| Pros | Eliminates mild acne Smoother skin Inexpensive |
|---|---|
| Cons | None Some people don't like the smell, but I love it. |
| Bottom line | For three years, I've been trying so hard to get rid of my acne, but almost nothing has helped. but now, I've been using a tea tree facial scrub and cleanser from The Body Shop for about two weeks now. At first my skin broke out, but now it's clearer than it's been in years. It's still getting clearer everyday. I just use a foaming cleanser in the morning and night, and the facial scrub twice a week. It's almost like magic. Whenever I talk to someone who doesn't like their skin, i ALWAYS recommend the tea tree skincare line from The Body Shop. It's soooo amazing. I wouldn't recommend it, though, if you have really dry skin. If you do - just make sure you moisturize like crazy. |

| Pros | Very good at healing existing pimples |
|---|---|
| Cons | The smell and it can't be used alone to treat acne because it won't prevent breakouts. |
| Bottom line | This is the best to use as a natural alternative to a pimple cream. If you have bad acne, you should try a product suggested in the regime because this only works for healing the occasional spot. I guess it's another product that works with some people and not everyone but worth a try. |

| Pros | Works Fast! Great for stretch marks! |
|---|---|
| Cons | The smell! Kinda expensive. |
| Bottom line | I started putting tea tree oil on my stretch marks along with aloe vera gel and cocoa butter. I put the tea tree oil on overnight on my stretch marks, within 3 days, I noticed a difference. My stretch marks were significantly lighter. The aloe vera and cocoa butter may have worked, but I really think it is the tea tree oil that did it! I would recommend it for scaring. It has made most of my stretch marks A LOT lighter and on their way to almost being unnoticeable. |

| Pros | WORKS! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can really dry skin |
| Bottom line | One side of my face used to be really red, for some reason. I used to cover it up with makeup. Then I started using TTO, overnight, put some on a q-tip and rub on areas you want to clear. It works, the redness and weird texture on that cheek dissappeared! But the only thing is, sometimes you cant use it daily cuz it dries out and can cause flaking around certain areas. |
