Pros its amazing O.O
Cons sometimes it can leve your face dry, ive been using this for a while now so my skin has grown acustom to it, so i cant think of any right now.
and can everyone stop dissin the scent! it rocks lol
Bottom line there is no FULL proff cure all product for acne, but if there was, tea tree oil would be one of the MAIN ingredients.

go into the message boards, read about it, find a way to use it that would suit you.
u wont be sorry :)

Pros I think it was this that worked miracles to end 15 years of moderate (mid-menstrual cycle) acne. And it's natural!
Cons I wouldn't recommend using it full strength. The smell is strong, but I don't mind.
Bottom line I started Dan's regimen a couple of months ago, but instead of BENZOYL PEROXIDE substituted TEA TREE OIL. I used the already diluted Desert Essence "Kinder to Skin". (I chose Cetaphil liquid cleanser and Oil of Olay moisturizer.) I also started taking vitamins at the same time (multi + 50mg of B6 and Zinc).

It took almost 2 months of SLOW but steady improvement. Now my skin is really clearing up. I honestly can hardly believe this day has come.

Pros Works on zits
Cons Can make your face ichy and red
Bottom line Tea Tree oil works, but for some people it might not work, i used it for a few week or so, then it stoped working for me. But when it did work it left face feeling great!!! And it really helps if your face is hurting. Give it a shot it might just work for you!!!

Pros keeps skin feeling refreshed and does not overdry if diluted in water first.
anti-bacterial and helps reduce redness.
Cons the smell can be a bit overwhelming
can overdry if you are apply the oil directly to your face, which should not be done!
Bottom line After washing my face with a mild moisturizing bar, I apply my special toner: I dilute 2 drops of tea tree oil in 1/2 cup of cold water. I soak a cotton ball with the mixture before the oil can settle on the top. I apply the mixture by dabbing onto my skin and then I wait for it to dry. Then I use Aveeno Clear Complexion daily moisturizer or the Aveeno Positively Radiant (SPF 30) if I am going outside.

It should last a long time, if only using a drop or two in the morning - so the price is not bad.

Leaves face feeling fresh throughout the day. Not oily at all.

Pros it dries up my oily skin and makes it soft and even, and it has many uses. i like the smell
Cons can sting if near eyes
Bottom line i like this product for acne! i use proactiv solution and then a few minutes later apply jergens natural glow, let it dry then i apply tea tree oil on any pimples and they go away or shrink fairly quickly. i love it and the fact that it's a natural remedy makes me trust it more on my skin

Pros It just works!
Cons You have to get used to its smell.
Bottom line I've struggled with acne for 18 years, severe acne for the past year and a half. I've been on almost every over the counter treatment, used ProActive, spent a fortune on dermotologist visits, had my face injected to increase healing (don't ever do this!), and took numerous prescriptions including 6 months of Accutane. Nothing did the job. Now, I wash my face twice a day with Desert Essence Thouroughly Clean Face Wash with tea tree oil. Twice a day I also wet a cotton ball under water, squeeze out the excess, put a few drops of Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil on it, and go over my face.

My skin not only has cleared up, but it is now smooth, soft, and looks and feels great.

It may not be everyone's miracle cure, but it was mine. I wish I knew about this stuff 18 years ago!

Pros Dries up acne super quick, even overnight. I believe that it kills the bacteria that causes acne too.
Cons The smell is so pungent. heh. My boyfriend calls it "doo doo oil". Good thing that smell is only temporary and I think taste too. Also it dries up your skin, which works out for me because I have oily skin.
Bottom line I think it's worth a shot. I have oily skin and moderate acne. It may not work for you but like I said, I think that it's worth a shot. I just ordered jojoba oil from "Ditto's Wholesale" because it's cheaper and they just sent me an email promoting tea tree oil...

"Preliminary scientific research (mainly in vitro) supports claims for various health benefits for tea tree oil . Inhaled, tea tree oil is said to make breathing easier by "breaking up congestion". It supposedly can alleviate a sore throat and minimize the symptoms of cold, flu and systemic fungal infections. As a bath additive it may control bacteria in spas and pools. Massaging diluted tea tree oil into the affected area may alleviate the discomfort of sore muscles or joint injuries. It also reduces hypertrophic scarring. Tea tree oil has been found to kill Propionibacterium acnes; the main cause of acne vulgaris both in vitro and in vivo."

I hope that this information helps you even in a little way. BYE!

Pros Has reduced my breakouts, blackhead and redness significantly.
Cons I like the smell, my husband hates it. It takes a commitment of time to see significant results (2-3 months). It's a natural product that takes time to work. At first I had dry, flakey skin but that has all stopped once my skin got healthy from it
Bottom line Think this is the best thing I have done for my skin ever! It's super affordable to buy a $8 bottle of Tea Tree oil that lasts six months. I love the tingly sting it gives my face. I'm amazed that my red coloring around my nose is almost gone (I'm 38 and have struggled with acne for years)and my black heads on my nose are quite minimized. My T-Zone oily skin has been more evened out and my red blochy spots are minimizing. I think this prodect is worth a try but it needs more than a week for results.

Pros shrinks already exsisting zits and stops new ones from forming.
Cons no cons for me!!
Bottom line I wash my face with a mild cleanser then drench my skin in 100% pure tea tree oil. I had moderate acne on my chin and now not a single spot! This stuff is amazing!!!
