| Pros | inexpensive, effective and natural. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Spicey smell but you start to like it after a while. |
| Bottom line | I got it at the body shop (15%). I got stronger stuff at the drug store but it was more expensive and didn't work like the stuff I got at the bodyshop. Stuff from bodyshop was cheap. It worked. It was the onlything that has worked on the non-forehead parts of my face.(forhead needed ret-A but ret-A was too strong for the rest of the face that tea tree oil was perfect for) |

| Pros | It worked fairly well. Better than anything I have tried before. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Kind of pricey. (12.99 for a small bottle)It smells strong and makes my eyes water and burn. I have to put it on at night. It burns your face when you use it full strength which of course I did/still do. |
| Bottom line | I have had acne for 9-10 years now and I did notice a difference. It did not clear it completely and it has to be used pretty much regularly to help. I don't know how good that is for your face to use continuously. Like I said, kind of pricey. It did work descent for me and I will continue to be faithful to using it for a good while to see if it stands the long test! It is worth a try and what do you have to lose?! |

| Pros | I have been using tea tree oil mixed with grapeseed oil (2 ml tea tree oil/20 ml of grapeseed oil--10%) on my daughter's skin to treat her cystic acne (she is 18). It is working amazingly! |
|---|---|
| Cons | It takes time and persistence (months). Also, I would strongly recommend that a test spot be done first--tea tree oil is strong and can burn sensitive skin. I would never put straight tea tree oil onto the skin, I always dilute with a carrier oil. |
| Bottom line | Great stuff, it works in combatting acne. In order to maintain control over bad acne, I would suggest using every evening--diluted in a carrier oil (see above). Results may not be immediate. Those with mild sensitivity to tea tree may want to try manuka oil. I've read that manuka oil is also effective, perhaps more effective than tea tree oil (they're in the same plant family), and may not cause as much skin irritation in some, although manuka oil is more expensive. | Pros | doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all unlike BP, seems to be effectively killing the bacteria that my doctor thinks is causing my acne, doesn't cause comodones to scar like other topical treatments, and when i use it daily, prevents breakouts! |
|---|---|
| Cons | results aren't always immediate. it usually takes longer than BP to see the effects. |
| Bottom line | TTO doesn't work for everyone. there hasn't been much research about it, but in the research that does exists, it shows that 5% TTO is just as effective as 5% BP in treating mild to mod. acne, but with less side-effects. all i know is that it works wonders for me. i use @mosphere's 5% TTO + gylcolic acid, and my skin is the best it's ever been. i like that it's a natural product and that it's alot less harsh than SA and BP. i'm a total advocate lol. |

| Pros | helps with zits when used sparingly/just a dab on a QTip will suffice |
|---|---|
| Cons | i put some TTO on a cotton ball and held it on a growing zit for 20 minutes...it ended up burning my skin and now i have a cotton ball sized scab...i am hoping this will not leave a permanent scar! |
| Bottom line | good just be careful! |

| Pros | clears up flaky skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | strong smell |
| Bottom line | I've been using TTO in my hair moisturizing spray and notice that I don't have the flakiness around my hair line and the dandruff has disappeared. I've just begun adding it to my face cream and love the clean, tingly feel that it gives my skin. Already I notice that my skin is less oily and less shiny. I am so excited to finally have found something natural and effective that I'm going to add TTO to all of my hair and skin products. |

| Pros | Clears up blemishes & removes redness FAST!!! also i like the smell (but most ppl dont) |
|---|---|
| Cons | Seems to form whiteheads...but i think it just cleaning out the bacteria. |
| Bottom line | I just recently purchased some tea tree oil from "The BodyShop" the facial cleanser, day time mositurizer, night lotion, and their face mask, it works wonders, mind you i only been on this regimen for 2-3 days... but i can already see a difference and thats alot coming from me as i did everything from proactive to laser surgery, nothing really helped me dramatically as tea tree oil has.. I have sensitive/oily skin and i am very acne prone. I have moderate/ to i guess mild acne.. but just try it!! it works inever used the 100 percent one.. but the bodyshop is 15 percent and it works just as good i think |

| Pros | it does clear skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | will dry it out if you have sensitive skin. |
| Bottom line | I had really bad acne and I was feeling hopeless. I went to the health food store and got some Tea tree facial cleanser with awapuhi and at first it did dry the skin out however,,after continual use,,my face did adjust.I have natually oily skin so I just used my own moisture and oil in my skin to moisturize. I was in the morning and at night. then I use a toner occasionally but the tea tree is a great product just have to learn how to use it |

| Pros | Natural, powerful whiteheads and blackheads loose from the skin, refreshing, leaves the complex smooth and helps heal acne and doesnt irrate. A few drops in a facail |
|---|---|
| Cons | be careful and dont load it on as it will sting & make your skin red in places.Just use sparingly as it is powerful stuff and too much will only irritate your skin and lead to further break outs as i have experienced! |
| Bottom line | A drop added in facial sauna is great and really cleans out the pores and gives your skin a healthy glow. Also a little drop added in with your facail wash really helps and makes your skin feel very clean and refreshed. This stuff really helps and works deep in the pores it will bring the whitehead to the top but after a few days it will be gone and leads to more clean, clear skin patience and time is needed as it will take at least a couple of months for it to clean out your pores and if you stick to a strict regime everyday you will notice good results! Also eating healthy and drinking plenty of water and getting enough fresh air and excerise will help alot doing this will help with whats going on in the inside and helps heal acne faster! hope this helps and good luck to all and give TTO a go it really helps. |
