| Pros | Tingles skin and very affordable |
|---|---|
| Cons | strong smell but it fades after a while |
| Bottom line | It took me years to find a system that worked for my weird skin. I've been getting breakouts since i was 14. Proactiv made my skin oily and irritated my skin. then about a month a ago i started using Tea Tree Oil. I use a regular face scrub in the shower. then i rub on the tea tree oil with a bit of water while my pores are still open. i haven't gotten any new pimples since i started doing this . oh yeah, i also take YAZ which is supposed to help with acne. so i'm not sure if it's the tea tree oil or the birth control or the combo of the two, but something it definitely working! |

| Pros | I found it very effective. Its antiseptic qualities helps fight against breakouts and acne. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Strong smell, but you get used to it quickly. It may burn when applied. |
| Bottom line | I had very bad acne for a while, To the point where I was ashamed of it, my cousin recommended tea tree oil, so I went to my local Vitamin Shoppe and picked up a bottle and face wash. Within a month, My acne 80% of my acne disappeared, using the face wash along with the oil at night proved (to me) extremely effective. I am still using it, to hopefully finish off whatever is left. |

| Pros | Natural, effective when used as a spot treatment and could be added to your cleanser for an additional treatment. It's clear and can be used under makeup. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Strong Smell and could be over drying "if" applied too often. |
| Bottom line | I have used tea tree oil for about one year as a spot treatment and when my acne flares I add 1 to 3 drops into my cleanser as an added acne treatment. To date this has been one of the best treatments I have used. (I’ve been on everything including accutane, and minocycline) I purchased a 50:50 mixture of lavender oil and tea tree oil from the Vitamin Shoppe and to my surprise it worked better than tea tree oil on its own. Lavender is calming and reduces redness, tea tree oil is known for its antiseptic properties. |

| Pros | Might be good as a preventative face wash when heavily diluted. Seems to work for others. |
|---|---|
| Cons | In a matter of days it transformed my cysts and papules into whiteheads, and then back into regular looking acne, where they remained for the usual length of time. |
| Bottom line | I was using it as a spot treatment for my mild/moderate cystic acne - not expecting miracle results, but at least to have some effect, maybe speed up the healing or ease inflammation. Applied undiluted with a cotton swab twice a day for 6 days, didn't change anything. |

| Pros | dries out pimples works especially well for cyst zits use as a spot treatment |
|---|---|
| Cons | scent, doesnt work immediately can dry skin aroun the area, but u can just peel it off it's just dried out skin cells |
| Bottom line | I know some ppl saw results right away, but i didnt. I had to use it consistantly, but it does work, it really dries out your big painful zits. i mix 2 parts water with 1 part tto, and it's really good, but make sure u mix well because water and oil dont go well together |

| Pros | I'd put just a dab on a pimple before going to bed, the next day...it was gone! It really works. Didn't really dry out skin. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Strong smell, but you'll forget about it once you've gotten your results. |
| Bottom line | It's awesome, it's a lot faster than the others, cheap, and natural. |

| Pros | I LOVE it! It dries up pimples and is great as a spot treatment. I have light "acne" I get break-outs during PMS esp. whiteheads on my forhead and this WORKS GREAT! |
|---|---|
| Cons | some people don't like the smell but I LOVE it, dries skin slightly. |
| Bottom line | I LOVE this product, i recently began using it after high end products such as Vichy and Clinique failed for me. I have light acne (i only break out on my forehead) and this works PERFECTLY for me. I just dilute it in a bit of water and put it all over my forehead, you can actually feel it working. Me and my brother swear by this product ( I use the Jamison one, since I trust it as a good vitamin supplement line). It's great and I highly recommend it especially for those stubborn whiteheads!! |

| Pros | natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | dried skin and made it oily, acne didn't go away, strong smell |
| Bottom line | I soaked the end of a q-tip with the oil and applied it to acne and some scars twice a day. There was no visible improvement after 2 weeks of doing this daily. The smell is something you can get used to eventually, though it is strong. The oil dried up my skin and made it very oily later, even after washing it off, probably causing more pimples than it prevented. I like that it is natural, but it didn't work for me. Worked miracles for my sister however. |

| Pros | A little goes a long way. "Kills" a pimple very quickly and painlessly. Doesn't dry out the skin or cause redness (in my case). |
|---|---|
| Cons | Could be pricey depending on brand. Smell is a bit strong but goes away quickly. May feel a very slight stinging sensation. |
| Bottom line | I purchased Herbal Harvest's two ounce jar of tea tree oil. I was a bit scared as no one reviewed this brand, yet every other brand had several reviews. However, this was the cheapest by far (40-50% cheaper than the next brand). Jar is tinted glass which is always better than plastic and I've read that tea tree oil is light sensitive. The smell is zesty, somewhat like a lemon or a lime. The method I use is to quickly dab one side of a q-tip in and then apply to the problematic areas. A single dip covers all these areas and I apply it twice a day. By the rate I'm going, two ounces will last me a very long time. Now to inform about how the product actually works. Once I start to feel or see a pimple rising, I dab it with a tea tree oiled q-tip twice a day and even the most stubborn pimples (close to cyst size) go cleanly away in a couple of days. I find that it even works wonders on whiteheads, usually clearing them up within 24 hours. Had no problems using it with DKR's regime ei |
