Pros smells good because of the minty smell, very effective, soothing, doesnt dry skin(I dont know to others because my face is oily) and it lessens oiliness of the face
Cons the effect is not very fast
Bottom line Since I started my college years, I now get pimples, all over my cheeks and forehead, and it does affect my self esteem and my social life so that is why I decided to consult from a dermatologist.

I went to the dermatologist to ask if what can I use to get rid of my pimples, and she recommended her soap which contains tea tree oil, at the 1st day, I saw that my pimples are starting to subside, after 3 days, my pimples on my both cheeks are gone and in the 5th day, my pimples on my forehead are now starting to lessen and I do not get new pimple since I started using this tea tree soap.

Now, Im happy that my face is clearer yet, the pimple marks are still there but in time, everything will back to normal.

Pros Works
Cons Little to none
Bottom line be sure your buying pure tea tree oil which comes only from an Australian tree "Melaleuca alternifolia" and can be found at " [link removed] "search for natria.A product that can be bought pre-mixed for use can be found at " [link removed] and search for tea tree oil.The Australian government sets the standard (AS 2782-1985) for tea tree oil quality at a minimum content of 30% terpinen-4-ol, and a maximum content of 15% 1,8-cineol can treat most skin conditions, dry scalp problems and canker sores. It should never be used without diluting and should not smell badly.A bad smell is of lower quality, may be rotten because of improper packaging or is from the Melaleuca family of trees but not the Austrailian alternifolia variety. If you buy it pure you can find mixing reciepes on [link removed] and at the bottom are other links for its use and how to properly mix.Rarity makes it a bit pricier at $10/oz.Mixing will go far.

Pros Absolutely amazing..this stuff is light years ahead of BP, salicylic acid or any other treatment used to spot treat. Tea tree oil diminishes the size and redness of pimples, especially if you catch the pimple right as it is beginning to form. Love it
Cons I guess for some people, the smell might be a huge turn-off, but I really love the smell of it. Also, for it to be really effective, you need to apply it multiple times a day (for me, I'd apply it as much as 10 times a day to a pimple).
Bottom line I have been surfing this site for over four years now, and this is the first review I have ever written. I don't trust other reviews because it seems that people are just praying for treatments to work, so they'll write anything on here (even if the product is really ineffective). However, I must say that I am so thrilled with tea tree oil that I felt compelled to write a review. I have a caramel complexion and I get nasty purple marks and bright red marks (it looks weird on someone with skin like mine) after every little pimple. However, with tea tree oil the marks after a pimple are GREATLY reduced if not there at all. This stuff is amazing. If I would've used this instead of BP/SA over the years then I would probably have very few purple/red marks. Anyway, I use this stuff against all the directions I've seen--that is, I apply it UNDILUTED directly from the bottle without mixing it with water. I can't say enough good things about tea tree oil. Seriously, it's amazing.

Pros clean feeling, inflammation goes down almost immedietely, pores are tighter and smaller
Cons some people say the smell is awful but i actually like it. it's like a menthol/eucalyptus smell.
Bottom line i am 20 years old and i've had acne since i was 10. i have tried everything from proactive to toothpaste, oral and topical prescription medications, egg white masks and head and shoulder shampoo. i've tried all the home remedies and tried all the recommendations made by serveral dermatologists. i am allergic to benzoyl peroxide, so i have a hard time finding skin treatments gentle enough for my face. i wanted to try something natural, so i came across tea tree oil and decided to give it a try. (i'd tried it years ago, the body shop brand, and it didn't work) so i found some in a health food store and decided to give it a second chance.....the first night i put it on, it burned and turned my face red. and then about 10 minutes later, the redness calmed down and almost immedietly my acne looked better. i've been putting it on my face after my nightly shower when my pores are the most open, and i think my skin is improving. that's more than i can say about anything else i've tried!

Pros It really works!
Cons It has a strong smell, but what's a little smell if it works, right?
Bottom line Listen up people, it really works. I used to have terrible acne, even the beautician said it's hard to get rid of it. So, after trying so many different types of product that didn't work at all, I decided to try Tea Tree Oil. I mean, why not? I've been using it at night, before bed, and every morning, I wake up happy, cause my skin's slowly clearing up. Everyone at school agreed, it's the best thing that's happened to me.

Pros Tingly fresh clean feeling after applying, Makes your skin very clear and soft, evens skin tone, reduces redness
Cons none to me though others complain about the smell or dryness/burning I don't get these affects I have normal skin not too oily or dry.
Bottom line I've been using Tea Tree oil for around 3 weeks. I love the fresh feeling after you apply it - very tingly / cool refreshing, the smell is strong but I like it. Clears your skin quite fast, prevents pimples and evens skin tone.

I use just normal tea tree oil strait out of the bottle with cotton pads firstly dampen pad and then apply small amount of Tea tree oil wipe face morning and night

So far my skin tone has improved 100% less pimples and redness, pimples don't seem to flare up anymore. My whole face looks brighter and feels so soft. I recommend anyone to use not only people with acne! Fantastic product :)

Pros Reduces redness, soothing, tingling sensation, is vert effective as a spot treatment
Cons Smells strong, will dry skin too mich if not diluted
Bottom line This is the best thing I've ever used on my acne. I dilute a free drops in a tablespoon of 99% pure aloe vera gel, and use that as a spot treatment. It will last a very long time if used this way, which actually makes It less expensive than the drugstoe stuff by a long run. Worked much better than benzyol peroxide and salicylic acid. And it is less drying and much better for your skin. My skin is also very sensitive and dry to begin with.

Pros Clears face
No chemicals
Multiple Uses
Cons Stong Smell
May burn sensitive skin (be sure to dilute)
Bottom line Tea Tree Oil is absolutely amazing. I use the hemp/tea tree oil soap for a good all over scrub and then apply diluted pure tea tree oil to my face with a cotton ball.

I find that the best way to prevent and clear acne is to watch my diet, avoid sodas and too much sugar. Exercise. If Im going to wear make up it has to be the pure, natural stuff.. And wash face morning and night.. then apply tea tree oil.

When I ate raw foods for a week straight my face completely cleared... (I believe diet is key)

Pros Makes pimples disappear faster when used as a spot treatment, not drying (but i have oily skin)
Cons smells strong, kinda expensive (but my parents are paying for it anyway, lol)
Bottom line i'm 13 and have pretty bad acne. i've been using tea tree oil as a spot treatment for a couple of months and once you get used to the smell, it works pretty good. it's not a miracle, but it's the best spot treatment i've found. just dab it on your zits and/or scars before bed with a q-tip and try to ignore the stinging/cooling-ness.
i found mine at walgreens in the supplements section next to all the fish oil and stuff. so yeah, you should definitely try this.
