| Pros | Has many uses. Like the smell |
|---|---|
| Cons | None |
| Bottom line | The best I have found is at Wmart for $8 and is Pharmaceutical grade. I use a clean eyedropper and apply straight from the bottle with my hand at night after showering about every other night. Another great use is to dilute about 2 droppers full into a small spray bottle with about 8oz of water. Shake and spray onto scalp after shampooing. It unclogs the hair follicles. I have thick fine hair and it gives it lots of body and keeps it from becoming oily. |

| Pros | With time will see difference Natural ingredients |
|---|---|
| Cons | With time really dried skin Expensive |
| Bottom line | Been using this product for well over 3 months now and by itself i would say it was as successful as id hope, before this i used BP which sadly stopped working for me causing a massive break out :/. Although its common to use one or the other i would recommon using both, applying the tea tree and while still moist apply the BP on top of this. And it worked! HOWEVER!! My acne has not gone completly and doing this really really dries the skin causing it to feel extremly tight AND in the long run causing lines! :O So what you have got to consider is it worth it in the long run. With all the products i've used im sure they havnt done any favours for my skin :/ and im only 18! |

| Pros | natural, i actually LIKE the smell of tea tree oil!, does not stain clothing or towels, does not corrode plastic eyeglass frames the way that Benzoyl peroxide does. |
|---|---|
| Cons | somewhat expensive, have to buy cotton balls as well, can be drying |
| Bottom line | I am reviewing the tea tree oil sold by the Body Shop which is 15% TTO. it doesn't sting (unless you have an open pimple), and when used in conjunction with the Body Shop's TTO toner ($11.00) it has cleared up my acne better and faster in two weeks than benzoyl peroxide had in...well...years! for the record, i am also on othro tri cycln low--but was still having pretty bad breakouts around my mouth. that *knock on wood* seems to be in the past. |

| Pros | Not awfully expensive, if you find from eco shop. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Did not work. Smells awful. |
| Bottom line | I tried tea tree oil after a beautician from the body shop recommended it for me. I bought their brand and I bought other brand from eco shop. Neither worked, and the smell was just eye watering. It did work wonderfully on flu and blocked nose when I put a drop in hot water and put a towel over my head, though! |

| Pros | It works to an extent. I have oily skin around my nose chin and my forehead area. When I started using this product I would rub it in the oily areas after washing my face. The first few weeks it worked well but after the 3rd week, I broke out like crazy and my nose looked like Roodalf the rain deer. I might have over used it or something but my nose started to scab up and hurt. So I stopped using it. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Makes skin dry and smells like Raid ant killer. If you use too much it will scab the skin, and clog the pores. |
| Bottom line | It is a good product to use for spot treatment, but in large areas it shouldn't be used. You get some massive side effects. |

| Pros | -not too expensive -works to dry up and prevent pimples -does not prolong red marks like BP |
|---|---|
| Cons | -takes longer than BP -the smell! -gives an icy feeling for about 5 minutes that isn't completely horrible |
| Bottom line | I mix my TTO with witch hazel to create a 5% solution. I apply it twice to my face with a cotton ball after cleansing. I really like this stuff. It dries up acne and I believe it prevents it too. It takes a while, but the fact that it doesn't prolong red marks is worth it. Also make sure you are in a well-ventilated area and dispose of your cotton balls because the smelly realllyyy lingers! |

| Pros | Works...for a while The scent Very easy to find Not drying |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can sting if skin is dry/broken Can leave skin oily |
| Bottom line | It works for me...but it doesn't. It helps clear up existing pimples, but it's so oily that it has caused more. |

| Pros | - Dries up zits - Has never left me with pock marks - Rarely has zits appeared again in the same area |
|---|---|
| Cons | - I would not recommend this for the dry winter weather like in NYC, it overdried my skin when I used it there - Slow, zits go away in about a week - Do not use this on raw skin, will over dry skin |
| Bottom line | To begin, I use the Derma-E Tea Tree and Vitamin E Oil. I started to use this in February 2010 and have not looked back. Although this product is slow, the fact that zits have rarely showed up in the same area of my face and does not leave indentations or pockmarks, is a huge thing for me. I use this as a daily spot treatment and as a weekly face massage (I wash off the TTO after). I also put cortizone 10 on zits that are bigger. Change your pillow case often and keep your scarves clean, it's very important! As I said in the cons, this is not a product that worked for me in dry weather, I would not recommend it if that's the climate you live in. I have dealt with acne since I was in elementary school. First it was hormones, then it stress that was causing my skin to break out. My skin was oily during my teen years and now is mostly combination. Now with a combination of good hygiene, exercising and a healthy diet, I've stopped worrying about zits and now just dealing with my scars and dark spots! Yay! The other products I use are: - Purpose Bar Soap - Kiehl's Sodium PCA Oil-free Moisturizer - Sanitas Glycotoner 5% When I switched from salycic acid to TTO, I didn't think I would find anything, chemical or otherwise, that would work. After 6 months, I feel confident in telling people about the awesomeness (albeit limited) of TTO. Most of the products I use are not designed for acne prone skin, I've noticed most products geared towards acne skin has done squat for me. If you have a natural beauty store near your, definitely check out Sanitas. Know your skin and be good to your body and usually, most zits will go away! Remember, you're beautiful! |

| Pros | It worked. I had a big pimple on my nose and usually have oily skin around my nose and mouth area. After using it for 2 days, I noticed a significant difference. My pimple was very squishy and filled with puss but the next night it was dried and no more puss. And I put it on small pimples around my chin and it all disappeared over night. It is amazing stuff I definitely recommend it. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smell is kinda strong, Kinda an ammonia/alcohol type of smell. But its easy to get use to. |
| Bottom line | Works. Works. Works. But only use as spot treatment. I would not recommend rubbing all over the face. Too much of anything can be bad. |
