Pros:After applying Taz only three times, my skin was smoother than I ever remembered it being. After the moisturizer, it seems to have that healthy glow that I thought you only saw on airbrushed photos. I have not had more breakouts since I started Taz
Cons:My skin is a little more pink now and definitely dry and a flaky. Now I moisturize at night and in the morning so the peeling is kept under control.
Bottom Line:This gives you super smooth skin and although I've only been using it for a week, it's impressed me so far. I know that you have to wait around three months to see acne disappear. It's very important to apply a moisturizer and make sure your skin is Completely dry before applying the Taz. It's normal for your skin to feel more sensitive and for it to sting a bit when you apply moisturizer but your skin will get used to it over time. It works wonders for lightening recent scars I've also noticed. This product works by sloughing off the top layer(s) of skin and speeding up skin renewal. I'm looking forward to seeing what my skin will look like in a couple months; it's already baby soft!
Also, it's $30 with my copay but is horribly expensive ($400+) without insurance. You can ask for the generic prescription which costs about $60 and I imagine would be worth it.

Pros:Worked very well for the first 3 weeks. Started to get worse. By week 5 I was seeing more improvement. Easy to get from dermatologist. Easy to apply.
Cons:Itchy and dry skin at first. Feels slimy after application.
Bottom Line:An ok product. Works better on face acne, altough it reduced the amount of nodules on my back by about 75%. May take months to kick in and works better when used in combination with other treatments.

Pros:Saw results within the first NIGHT of using it. I was so suprised. When I looked in the mirror, my skin appeared to be very smooth, and calmed down. When I washed my face, I was also a little suprised to see that the top layer of my skin peeled off.
Cons:Within two more days of using it, my skin became very irritated, and I couldn't go to school. I had to stay home and moisturize my face, because it was very tight and dry. But it did help clear most of the blemishes.
Bottom Line:I was prescribed Cetaphil gentle face wash with the cetaphil SPF 15 moisturizer along with the Tazorac and aczone. I was told to use the Tazorac starting out every other night, until my skin got used to it. Then I would use it every night. Also, I was supposed to use aczone every morning. This combination is alright, so far. The cetaphil is pretty good with the Taz, except I'm having problems with the moisturizer burning very badly after spreading it on my face.. Not sure if the tazorac is doing this or not. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THIS AS A SPOT TREATMENT. You must apply it evenly over the affected area. I tried using it just on the blemishes on the second night, and it made my skin very blotchy. It is now peeling in only certain places, and it looks bad.

Pros:Cleared up acne
Cons:Causes peeling for first 1-2 weeks of application
Tolerance will build, required stronger medication
Bottom Line:It's slow, but it does work if you give it time. My skin was reddened, tight, peeling, and in general: horrible, for the first week. It got better, and I began to see a reduction in acne. After 4-5 months my skin was noticeably clearer, though I still had the occasional cist and breakout.

Then my derm moved me from .05% cream to .1% cream. Again, I peeled and was red, etc, but this time most of the acne cleared up with rare breakouts.

When I ran out, I stopped using the taz and started using some of my leftover differin, and within a month my skin was very broken out again. After two months of a busy schedule I went back into my derm and she put me back on .05% for a second round.

So far, my skin hasn't reacted nearly as badly as before, and this time I'm using a cleanser to improve the effectiveness. I'm on my 3rd week of the second round, and the acne on my cheeks is starting to clear up, though the acne on my chin, forehead, and between my eyebrows is slow to fa

Pros:i DO NOT have acne anymore. i can go out without makeup.
Cons:the initial breakout was horrible, peeling before my skin got used to it. i had a case of eczema on my face & my derm told me to stop using the taz for a few days so that i could apply eczema medication & i got two cysts, so you can't stop using it.
Bottom Line:STICK WITH THIS STUFF! my IB was so bad i would cry in the shower but now my skin is smooth & gorgeous! i also use a very gentle regimen along with it: AM wash with an aloe cleanser, apply shea butter, PM oil cleansing method, apply coconut oil, apply tazorac

Pros:Begining to see clearer skin after about 6 months. Nothing left on my cheeks and not nearly as red as before.
Cons:Begining was intense irritation. Flaky skin did NOT want to leave the house. that was done within a week. made skin a little more oily for a couple months. made skin irritable and sensative for the first few weeks
Bottom Line:Useful product if you have the patience to wait for results and have no big events occuring within the first few weeks of treatment.

Its starting to clear my skin and you to could have the same results! :D

Bottom Line:in my opinion if you can put up with the dry skinwhen you first start tazrac then I highly recommend the gel...I swear even if it is the same percentage as the cream the gel works better and I have used both the gel and cream and prefer the gel however if you dont want to endure drying at first then use the cream because it work too but I gues it all depends on your skin type

Pros:I'm heard good things.
Cons:Does seem to be getting a little worse. Redness and sensitivity definitely an issue now.
Bottom Line:I have just finished my second week on taz. I'm 27 and don't have horrible acne, but quite a few bumps inbetween my eyebrows, which is where I have been applying the taz. I'm going to keep it up. I'm hoping the taz will start to clear the acne that has resulted from the use. I'll keep you all updated.

Pros:OMG! I have only been using Tazorac cream for 4 days and I can see improvement! I also use Duac cream every morning and taz every other night.I am so thankful that God gave me such a great Derm.
Cons:remaining paitient.
Bottom Line:Yes my skin is a little dry,it's peeling, and it hurts when i put cream on it, but thats a part of the heeling process. This medication will work , you just have to be paitent, stay postive, and keep your faith high. The Duac and Taz combo is great. I only use taz every other night on my face becuase it's strong, and I use Duac every morning, I only use a pea size. I also only put Taz on my acne not all over my face! It will irritate unaffected areas! it says so in the package. And Duac all over my face. I also use Cetaphil with SPF 15, it great for the face. Please give it time and stop looking i nthe mirrior every 5 min!! It will work have faith and be strong. Also try to get the cream version not the gel.And most importantly ask God to cure you, trust me it works.
