Give it a try. Use a pea size once a night. I think some people use too much and of course you will be red as a tomatoe. I also use an acne wash from [link removed]- good stuff!

I used the cream for one area of my face that had deep stubborn whiteheads that never came to the surface for years. After a couple of weeks, some of them came to the surface (which meant BAD breakouts in that area), and there was a lot of peeling. After about 2 months, the breakouts stopped, and nothing else came to the surface. There are still deep whiteheads that never surfaced, but it has improved by about 50%. So I say that it helps a little, but not fully.

Ok..listen up!! This stuff does work..no joke! Everyone on here just about who said it doesnt work only used it for 2-10 weeks...but when i was using tazorac, my face was almost just as bad as when i started when i was at the 9th week...right now im at the 11th or 12th week not sure lol and my face is looking dramatically better all of the sudden..basically like after the 10th week...my face just started miraculously clearing up over night!! i love it!! i think it will only take another 2-4 weeks for me to be completely clear but you know wut..ive never been happier in my life and ive never ahd so much confidence...so if u cant find any acne medication that works...give tazorac a try but give it atleast 3 1/2 months before u decide if its working or not...wut do u have to lose?!!? pleez listen to me and just try it!!

Side effects-
-peeling
-itchiness
-redness

Im now at like the 3rd month and i still basically have all of these side effects but seriously..they're not that bad at all!! i mean i just peel a little bit near the sides of my nose and thats it..my face itches a little bit but barely and i only get red slightly under my eyes and i burn easily but not REALLY easily..so just give it a try...trust me the side-effcts aren't that abd at all

Things ive tried in the past that have failed-
-duac
-ALL {and when i say all i mean all} OTC products
-differin

How long I've been using tazorac-
*11-12 weeks

Type of acne-
-moderate to severe..but not too severe

Tazorac was the only medication i tried that made my acne worst then ever! my derm. told me to stick to it for a good 3 months to see the actual results..i did..and it got really bad. It took about another 3-4 months for my face to get back to "normal" after I stopped using it

I was using Retin A Micro for 6 weeks and then 3 weeks ago I saw a new dermatologist and could not stop crying the entire visit because my skin was so bad. He changed my entire routine to: Tazorac in the morning, BP 5% at night, and Septra 2x a day. I started to see results in 1 week and now 3 weeks later my face is clear. The Tazorac did not irritate my skin and I can deal with it being a little greasy. I'm 34 and my skin looks the smoothest it ever has and less wrinkles around my eyes ;) I am very happy with Tazorac!

I've been using Tazorac at night for about 6 months. I only leave it on for 2 minutes and rinse it off. I use 4.5% BP wash 2x a day and clindamycin in the morning. I guess my skin is clearer, I don't get as many pimples and the breakouts I get don't last as long. But my face is SO red. People are always saying "Oh, you got some sun!" when I haven't been outside at all. My face is itchy and sometimes has a burning feeling.
I'm going to try putting on thinner layers of both Tazorac and clindamycin. Also, maybe I'll put on a moisturizing lotion for overnight after I rinse off the Tazorac.

I've been using Tazorac for about 2-1/2 months every night, and I'm beginning to have my doubts. To begin with, there was the four week period of unbelievable peeling--I looked like I had leprosy or last stage syphillis... (I'm very fair with sensitive skin.) How charming. In the midst of all the peeling were major breakouts like I haven't seen since I was 15 (I'm 45). So now, the peeling has ended, but I'm STILL breaking out--so what's the point again? (It seems as if the Tazorac causes my skin to break out.) I also think it's kind of grossly greasy, but that may be me; my insurance covers it so I can't complain about the price. (So why am I giving it a "2" for how it works? Good question. I guess it's my fantasy that something good will come of all that peeling and that the pimples that are appearing everywhere were just hiding in my skin waiting to erupt at just the wrong moment and that somehow the Tazorac is dropping depth charges to force them up to the surface... Yeah, right.)

Bottom line: I'm giving Tazorac two more weeks to do something miraculous and then I'm trying the BP regimen described here. If I can wait two more weeks...

I could find nothing to help my adult acne...until I went fo ra series of five glycolic acid peels and began using the tazorac afterwards, along with a combination clindamycin and benzolperoxide each once a day...this has cured my condition completely...after years of struggle in my late twenties i found something that works...It's almost immpossible for it not to work...The Tazorac opens the pores and the antibiotics find there way in that much easier...anyone suffering from cronic acne should try this i'm sure it will work...It's science
