| Pros: | At 0.05%, its better tolerated than retin-A or even the Regimen. Works to reduce acne. |
| Cons: | no immediate results or indication that its doing anything, may cause your skin to worsen before it improves; not covered by many prescription plans and not very cheap. |
| Bottom Line: | I have been using this for around 6 weeks, but along with B/C pills as well as some oral antibiotics to prevent further acne for a while. Its hard, then, to tell if this stuff is what is working or if its just the other things. That said, I am certain that it improves overal skin tone and texture over time, but a very long time.
That is the case with other retinoids. I will use this for a long time since it does no make my skin flake and peel at all.
Try it. I don't think it will make your skin much worse |

| Pros: | haven't seen any yet |
| Cons: | burnt skin, peeling, flakiness |
| Bottom Line: | I hate proactive! Dat S uga H oney I ce T ea messed up my skin so bad. I used it for about a month and a half and my skin was so clear and glowing then all of a sudden my skin broke out horribly and left acne scars everywhere. I've been on tazorac for 3 wks but stopped for two days (can't take the burnt looking skin) but i'll start back using it today. I use Duac in the mornin and tazorac at nite. I'm suppose to be on Doryx but i can't afford it. My ma already spent 414 dollars in all on the other meds. Ill give it more time, BUT LIFE SUCKS BT! |

| Pros: | As a 48yo woman who has battled acne off and on since early teens I can expertly say this is the most consistently effective treatment I have ever found. I know it works when I need it. I have used it when needed for about 7 years |
| Cons: | Pricey and drying if you don't properly moisturize. Also for me, my skin will look dry and "sunburnt" for about a week as it dries up then sheds the acne away. |
| Bottom Line: | I just got through recommending Tazorac to a friend who had samples, but had tried it and given up after a few days because she thought it made her acne look worse. I assured her that based on experiences I have had with the product, the "worse" look was actually her cysts drying and healing up. I told her to try it again and hang in there. As for the dryness, it was a tremendous discovery to find out that moisutizer actually helped. I think many acne prone people forget that oily skin needs moisture too. It need not be a fancy moisurizer, just a noncomgenic effective one. The $50 tube I have will last me about a year, because it does not take much for even full face coverage. I find that just treating my problem T-zone works quite well for me. |

| Pros: | .1% cream. Cleared my face and shoulders within 3 months and im currently on my 4th month on this and my face is so smooth now but i still have thoes redmarks but they have faded alot. dont apply directly mix a pea sized ammount with enough moisturiz |
| Cons: | Pretty much raped my face the first 4 weeks lol. if i were to drag my sleeve acros my face u would see a bunch of shredded skin. |
| Bottom Line: | WORKS! give it time. Dont pick your skin or scrub your face, u wil develop raw spots and when u apply the tazorac it WILL burn and dont spot treat lol thats just a waste. 1 perscription filling is about 50 dolla with insurance and lasts about a year (2 30gram tubes) |

| Pros: | seems to be lightening post-acne spots; in conjunction with MD Skincare daily face peels, appears to have eliminated or at least reduced in size a couple cysts that had developed under my skin afer I had popped their corresponding zits on the surface |
| Cons: | very drying, use in moderation...DON'T GET ON THE CORNERS OF YOUR MOUTH (not fun, hurts to open mouth when eating, etc)... |
| Bottom Line: | if you have cystic acne in a couple areas of your face, I recommend applying this prescription topical cream on the skin above them for several weeks (or as long as it takes to see results if improvement is possible)...Along with MD Skincare Alpha-Beta Daily Face Peels, Tazorac seems to have eliminated two cysts below the surface of my skin (one had been there for at least two and a half months)...This was amazing to me considering I was told I would have to have a plastic surgeon remove them! |

| Pros: | Dried up my cystic acne. Cleared up all my blackheads on my nose. Appears to be clearing up the whiteheads on my cheeks as well. |
| Cons: | Goes on shiny. Incredibly drying, 3 months in, I'm still peeling. Increased breaking out at initial use. Doesn't appear to fade red marks very well. |
| Bottom Line: | I have super oily skin and eczema, so it's been hard trying to find a medication that I can tolerate. I was on Benzaclin for about 9 years before it finally seemed to lose its potency. Got on the Tazorac, and initially I broke out even more, especially on my cheeks and forehead. It did a great job of keeping my nose clear though. I'm not sure if it was just the Tazorac, my first month, I was taking Bactrim orally, and using benzoyl peroxide prescription cleansing pads in the morning, all in conjunction with the Tazorac, but it seemed to all make my acne a lot worse than it's ever been. About a month ago, I went off the Bactrim, stopped using the cleansing pads, and just wash my face with Lever soap, and the Tazorac at night, and after 3 months, my skin is finally clearing up. Cystic acne is gone, red marks still around, but for the most part, my skin's been pretty smooth. Don't know if it was worth the initial break out, but my skin looks like it's going to continue to improve. |

| Pros: | Works fairly well |
| Cons: | Can cause drying peeling when used with other medications, but is easily fixed with proper mosturizer |
| Bottom Line: | Overall a good medication that works well when used over time. It also gives your skin a very nice color and tone, and evens out alot of the redness from zits. Just use in moderation, as thick films usually cause redness and excessive peeling without any benefits to your skin. |

| Pros: | I have an amazing skin now. Before I had a lot of blackheads and acne. The primary reason was having large pores. now, my skin is soft and free of any acne. |
| Cons: | I have to use it every night otherwise it doesn`t work for me; acne comes back again. Also, i need to use it only a pea size. |
| Bottom Line: | unlike so many people, I have read about this medicine on Oprah site. One of the dermatologists in california said that she had been using it for almost 10 years and mentioned it was one of the best decisions she had ever made for her skin. So, I started using it almost a year ago. Always use moisturizer and sun block ( I use clnique) and good ph balanced cleanser like cetaphil or for me even a better one spectro by GlaxoSmithKline. |

| Pros: | I have been using it for about 4 weeks and my skin texture is much better and small lines have disappeared as well as dimisnished black heads. Brown spots seem to get a little darker at first as layers peel off but that too is now improving. |
| Cons: | Some minor redness and itching |
| Bottom Line: | I have very sensitive skin but if you follow the regime and always put on moisturizer at least one hour before the Tazorac it really does work. I have tried to go on it at least 4 times before and always quit after the first week or two because of the redness etc. but the moisturizing tip really does work. And, the moisturizing does not cause breakouts. |
