I have been using this for 7 weeks now. The first month was horrible. I was breaking out terribly and my face looked worse than it ever has in my whole life. I cried all the time and didn't want to go to work. About week 6 I saw a major change and my doctor prescribed Doxycycline to help reduce the redness. Here I am a week later a VERY happy girl. I wouldn't say I am where I want to be but I see lots of improvement. My advice...be patient!!!

I have just been prescribed tazorac. Differin did nothing for me and Tri Nessa made me break out. I switched to OTC and now have the tazorac, the first night using it. The only thing that makes me question the product is that the cream contains mineral oil. Why would a medication used for acne OR psoriasis contain such a cheap filler substance like mineral oil? Because of this I have reservations and am not getting my hopes up but I still will give it a try. Because my skin is naturally oily I don't want to leave it on all night. Maybe I will try what some of you have meantioned and put it on then wash it off. Also , thank God, with my insurance I only had to pay 20 dollars but looking on the package full price is 220 dollars!!! that is an outrage.

Tazorac 0.1% cream has been working very well for me. I apply it each night before bed along with Neova copper peptide moisturizer. For me, it is more effective than Retin-A in clearing and preventing breakouts, and I've been told that it can improve the appearance of some types of acne scars. If you are prescribed this drug, please remember to be PATIENT and to follow directions carefully. Like all drugs in this class, it can take many weeks before you see an improvement, and using too much can really irritate your skin. Also note that many health insurance companies won't cover this drug because it is new and still under patent.

This is a fantastic product. The secret is to use a lotion along with it to counter the harsh drying. A few times ive told myself that i can go without the lotion, and always regret it. It really evens out and heals your face, this is one of the dozens of products ive used that i plan on sticking with. Give it a try.

ok, if it peels do not use this product. ive used it some years ago, my skin peeled around my nose, mouth and under my eye area. then wrinkles developed very fast in these areas. i do not know if this will happen for other people but why take the risk. my acne went away when i reached 21. there's really nothing you can do about acne.

I have been using Tazorac for over a year now and I really think it has dramatically improved my skin as far as making it look clear. I am constantly getting compliments on my complexion, which I have never had before! The one thing I do wish it would do is help with the oil control. That is my main problem now. The only makeup I have found to work and control the oil is i.d. Bare Minerals. It sounds quirky, but it works. Trust me- I have tried everything from Lancome to Estee Lauder to Clinique to MAC. Bare Minerals is the only thing I have gotten to work. You can get it at Ulta beauty supply stores or on Sephora website. I really attribute my new-found porcelain looking skin to Tazorac, though. Stick it out and give it a try. I wash my face with Purpose gel (by Johnson and Johnson) and use the Purpose sensitive skin moisturizer at night.

THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING...

I have been on it twice along with clindoxyl gel. I use tazorac at night and clindoxyl in the morning. It's the only two products that work...Yes you peel like crazy in the beginning that's because it's getting rid of all of the dead skins cells so that the medication can sink into the pores to rid your face of the bacteria that causes those unsightly pimples. Besides you end up with new soft, smooth skin that looks beautiful!!! Depending on how bad your acne is will depend on how long it takes to see results. Hang in there and give it atleast 4 weeks and if the peeling is really bad gentle exfoliate your face in the shower with a loofa. Remember to drink plenty of water, change your pillowcase every 2 days and be patient!!! IT WORKS

I was told to use it for a few hours a day to start, so I had no bad side effects other than some flakiness in spots. During the 2nd week it seemed like everything was surfacing and it looked worse for several days. I was warned about this part and it passed. Two more weeks brought more improvement and I started leaving it on all night and wearing Duac during the day. Also taking 100 mg Doryx 2x a day. At 10 weeks I am a believer. Not totally clear but better each week.

I have been using this for about a week now. After two days of use I could already see a difference. Two days ago however, my face started to dry out and peel. I stoped using the medication but the drying seems to get worse. Its so painfull and ugly I dont even want to go into public. I think i may have used too much. Some people say that you should only keep it on for 30 mins to an hour. I kept it on all night. I think I'll try that when my face heals. I think that his stuff DOES work. But you have to use it correctly.

Tazorac didn't do %#!% for me. What's strange too is a lot of people here say it really "dried out" or "burned" their face... well, it was like the complete opposite for me. It didn't dry my face out at all; in fact, whenever I put it on at night, I would wake up the next morning and the residue that remained on my face was sooo oily and greasy, it literally looked like my skin was coated in vegetable oil or something.

I still use tazorac, but only when I need to give my face a break from the more abrasive, drying medications I also use (like benzamycin gel). The oiliness it leaves seems to help balance out the dryness from the other stuff. That's about it.
