| Pros: | Highly effective, powerful, works when nothing else will. |
| Cons: | Peeled a bit for the first few days of use. Having trouble with hyperpigmentation. |
| Bottom Line: | Have had acne for 10 years. Tried almost everything under the sun, from herbal remedies, to over-the-counter medications, to pro-activ and other highly advertised products, to a whole assortment of prescription oral and topical antibiotics, treitnoins, peroxides, acids and so on. I've been at this for a while, and nothing, NOTHING, has given me the results that tazorac has. After one month of use I have NO active pimples. My skin is also much smoother, parts of my face feel like it did in my pre-teen years before acne.
My only regret is not finding this soon enough. While my acne is diminished I am left with TONS of hyperpigmentated skin that may never go away. Thanks to tazorac I no longer have acne, but unfortunately it may still look like I do for years. |

| Pros: | My skin is much softer, my breakouts are decreasing, and the scars are fading. |
| Cons: | Pretty bad initial breakout. It happened around week 3-4. I broke out in places I never do. Expensive, even with insurance. I experienced sensitivity to the sun. Mild flaking and burning. |
| Bottom Line: | My face isn't completely clear, however my breakouts have decreased a lot since the first initial breakout. Now I have only a few pimples, which is a bit less than when I began. I am only on week 7, so I am going to go through with the 12 weeks before I make any harsh judgments. Moisturizer before a pea-sized amount is crucial. I am using it nightly, while taking Doxyl (antibiotics) once a day, and wearing Aczone daily. I am also on birth control: Loestrin Fe 24. Good luck to everyone else who is using this. Don't stop using it unless you haven't seen results after 12 weeks! |

| Pros: | This has a 60% efficacy which is the highest in the industry for treatment of acne compared to Clindamycin which is at 30%. |
| Cons: | Very Expensive especially for those without insurance. |
| Bottom Line: | I've tried many topical treatments, anything from Proactiv, to Murad, to Acne Free, and all of the drugstore brands. All have proven to be ineffective. I even tried birthcontrol pills, but that only made my breaking out sessions more erratic. I finally seeked advice from my family doctor and she put me on Doxycycline (antibiotics), and Clindamycin (topical). Almost after two months of using them, my acne has started to spread and gotten worst. So Tazorac is my last effort in dealing with my acne before I seek a derm. They're just ridiculously unaffordable. And so...lets just knock on wood. I'll keep you up to date. |

| Pros: | Clearing skin! This is awesome and is the only thing that I have found to stop my massive breakouts! This feels great too...it doesn't itch or burn it just does the job. |
| Cons: | takes a while to work (but all do) |
| Bottom Line: | This takes a while to work so give it some time I am at week 3.5 and I just saw improvment a couple of day a ago and ever since it looks better everyday! Aparently you are supposed to go through this purging period where you breakout like mad but then after that it is supposed to get a lot better. My derm said it was supposed to happen around week four so either i didn't have or it is still to come idk. Anyway this gets you under CONTROLL so you don't have breakouts every week like I used to, and that is the bottom line...if I have a few zits here and there...eh...w/e. I also used this with klaron which is an anti-bacterial agent nd aparently you are supposed to use an anti bac agent like bp or some other agent...so keep that in mind. |

| Pros: | Seems to be bringing oils/dirt to surface. Skin is smooth once peels, although not all is peeling. |
| Cons: | Does take time - I am in week 5 and still experiencing the purging process. Parts of skin are clear and smooth, but still getting new "bumps". |
| Bottom Line: | Seems to be working. Willing to wait for the full 12 weeks! |

| Pros: | Great product, Not pricey, One tube lasts 4-6 months, Clears up acne, Improves skin tone, May help with scarring in long term |
| Cons: | Redness, Itchiness, Flakiness, Initial breakout |
| Bottom Line: | Started this product in February. Broke out on it for 2-4 weeks. Acne was moderate to a couple more severe cysts. Used .1% Gel which was recommended because helps more with scarring. Overall acne is much better, however I also used benzaclin in the mornings followed by Olay oil Free moisturizer with spf 15. In the beginnign I used the moisturizer also prior to Taz at nights. Deal with the harsness for 4-6 weeks of the product and you will see improvement. Easy to get discouraged. Apparently you need to use it 1-2 years to help with scar remodeling/photodamage. We'll see how that goes.
Good product overall if you can deal with the initial side effects. Just smooth it out nicely over the entire skin and be tough for a couple months even though you'll look crappy and you should be okay down the line. |

| Pros: | not yet |
| Cons: | burning |
| Bottom Line: | My dermatologist prescribed it for some brown spots that appeared in my cheeckbones during my pregnancy but all I am reading is that is for acne! My skin feels very sensible and a little burning. I think is beginning to peel and I have just used for two nights. Does anybody knows if it works for spots? By the way, I am using the cream.. not the gel.. |
