I have been using Tazorac cream for about a month, and it cleared up my cheeks and forehead nicely, but my chin has been more broken out than ever before, red and peeling, just a disaster. I keep telling myself it will get better but I'm getting frustrated.

This product is so awful, no one should use it.
It really dried my face out and it made me break out even worse!!

I hate this stuff. I used it for a little more than a month and my face was insane. At first it did work to peel away most of my problem areas. But then it left red marks where those were and new ones were popping up in other places as well. This stuff BURNS. And the very worst part is the PEELING. You think the peeling is doing you good. Your face may look good in the morning, then by night it's peeling all over. It was so embarassing. Make-up makes you look ten times worse too. Don't use this stuff!

I've been using various acne medications for the past 4 to 5 years and have found that some have made a difference, however they only tend to deal with the surface ance, leaving the real problem under the skin for later troubles. On using Tazorac, i noticed a few things that are different from other medications. One is that it is not for the self-concicieous person, this medication will dry out your face, and it will bring every last pimple to the surface, leaving your face looking like crap for the first week. However, after this period, you will notice significant improvments every single day until all acne is gone. I highly recommened this medication to those of you who can live with horrible looking skin for the first week to week and a half. However, if you get through this period, it is smooth sailing, and all you have to look forward to is good looking skin.
P.S.: I combinded this medication with "Safe Gaurd" soap, and also a VERY mild exfoliator to clear away dead skin. I also was prescribed Ampacilin<---(could be spelled wrong) for oral medication.

I used tazorac gel but my derm. told me to dilute the pea size with some water in my hand before putting it on. Then I would wait about 15 min. and put on lotion. In the morning I used BP (benzaclyn). Now that I lost my insurance I stopped using it and my face is AWEFUL. Although tazorac sucked for like the first month, it really did clear up my cystic acne and reduced the scars. Now I saved up money and bought a tube of the gel (it lasts a really long time too) and I am using the BP stuff off this site in the morning and hopefully I can get my mess back under control. I do like tazorac though, but since I haven't used it or BP in a few months, my skin is red and burny. But it works. Suffer for beauty!

Never had a problem with acne on my face,..but my back/chest are the equivlent of a minefield. I cant even take my shirt off, not to mention the amount of pain it causes when I lay on my back. Have used retin-a before but it turned my back into sandpaper, hope this doesnt so the same. Wanted to try accutane but need to see a dermatologist first, oh well, give this a shot, when it doesnt work then hopefully accutane will get the nod, oh well,..the only thing I have found that worked 100% was the sun,..laying out on a hot summer day and gettin a good tan always killed everything. Hope this can work the same wonder.

My friend gave me a sample of Tazorac on Saturday to try and I can tell in a difference in 2 days. I have TERRIBLE acne. I usually pay someone to do extractions on my face but recently I haven't been able to afford it. I usually get the big cystic acne bumps that never come up to the surface but hurt like hell but recently I had started getting tiny freakin bumps on my forehead.

I may want to add that I have also taken Accutane about 4 years ago. The acne came back....

Anyway, I tried the cream and at first it dried the hell out of my skin. It completely reminded me of accutane because layers of skin would just peel and peel wherever there is a major bump (lesion). That is the only part that sucked to me. If you put on makeup it looks like [censored] cause your face will dry out (again very similar to accutane). I went home today and used my dermanew microdermabrasion to get the rest of the flaking skin off. After that I reapplied the tazorac again. This time my face has not started peeling like it did before. I can tell a HUGE difference! The other day I looked like I had leprosy but today my face is clear enough not to wear makeup. I will say that I can still see the red areas where I had bumps but they are flat and it seems they are slowly fading. Overall I am extremely satisfied with tozarac.

I HAVE ANNOYING ACNE...RARELY HORRIBLE, BUT PERSISTANT. I'M 20 NOW, AND HAVE HAD ACNE FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS. MY FATHER IS ACTUALLY A DERMATOLAGIST, SO I THINK I HAVE TRIED MORE PERSCRIPTION ACNE MEDICATIONS THAN MOST PEOPLE. I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE TAZORAC...I FIND IT TO BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE OF THE MEDICATIONS I HAVE TRIED. I WAS USING DIFFERIN FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND I DON'T THINK IT REALLY HELPED ME. TAZORAC HAS DEFFINITLY MAKE MY SKIN BETTER. HOWEVER, IT CAN BE REALLY IRRITATING TO SKIN...I NEVER EVER PUT IT AROUND THE BASE OF MY NOSE OR TOO CLOSE TO MY MOUTH OR EYES BECAUSE IT DEFFINITELY WITH MAKE SENSITIVE AREAS BURN AND PEEL AND ITCH LIKE CRAZY. IT ALSO TAKES ABOUT A MONTH FOR IT TO WORK BUT I DEFFINITELY HAVE MANY FEWER BLACKHEADS AND CLOSED WHITE HEADS UNDER MY SKIN. I DO RECOMEND TAZORAC, ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE ACNE MORE UNDER THEIR SKIN THAN ...PER SE.. POPPABLE ACNE? I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE. HANG IN THERE GUYS, ACNE DOES GET BETTER WITH AGE.
