Pros:None for me.
Cons:Extremely dry skin (the kind you can only rub off because moisturizer doesn't seem to help!) and did help my acne.
Bottom Line:Ironically, my college roommate and I both went home for our Dec 2006 winter break and came back to find out we were BOTH put on tazorac gel. Since then, I have only gotten worse. My dermatologist kept telling me it takes a long time, that I could just be someone who needs to use it longer. But over a year later I have only gotten worse!

My roommate on the other hand went from horrible to PERFECT skin. We use the same face wash and everything, so I definitely can see that it does have the potential to clear someone up wonderfully. Also, her skin doesn't dry out at all, so I think her skin is tougher and can handle this product. My skin burns and peels off.

I think you'll know after the first few months if it will work or not. And if your skin dries/peels and NEVER gets used to this product, then you can get off it. Worth a try since I saw my roommates skin become flawless.

Pros:Dryness and makes your skin look oily
Cons:clears up acne
Bottom Line:I had acne in the 8th grade and decided to visit a derm. They told me to use tazorac. I used it and it had little effect. But now im in the 11th and i have the same problem and the derm gave it to me again. so now i use benzyol peroxide and tazorac at night. It is a real good product. The only thing is the peeling.I cant help to peal the skin off and that can cause acne scaring so i suggest you dont do that. But far as usage, i recomended to anyone with bad acne

Pros:It can and does work, if used in moderation and with a good moisturizer like Cetaphil.
Cons:When used daily, it caused extreme peeling and scabbing on my cheeks. Now I look awful and have to wait days to look normal again. It made my face worse...BUT...I was using it way too often, we just didn't know it yet.
Bottom Line:My skin condition was that of occasional pimples but a lot of closed whiteheads...looks like I had a skin rash on my cheeks. They were never red, but my skin always looked bumpy. The Tazorac works..most definitely...because all of my whiteheads were coming out and becoming exposed. BUT..I was using it daily, as recommended by my doctor. So, I think if I would have known how sensitive I was to this product, she would have started me off more slowly. If I had started using it once every other day, I think I wouldn't look like a sunburned monster!

Bottom line...it works...I would just seriously use this cream every other day with a good moisturizer. It causes dryness, but thats what we need...just not a LOT of it at once! Stick with this cream...it really is worth it. I know when the reddness goes away, my skin will be clear.

Pros:Clears up acne in days. Can be used for spot treatment as well. Awesome.
Cons:Initially, or when too much is used, it can dry up the skin pretty badly. Use Neutrogena moisturizer , it helps considerably.
Bottom Line:Definitely use this product. The only side effect I've had is the dryness, but moisturizer fixes it. When you pick up the Tazorac, grab a bottle of neutrogena as well. Use it for 2 weeks and you'll be very happy.

Pros:New acne is less frequent, not as "angry" when it appears, and goes away faster.
Cons:Dry skin. I recommend Clean&Clear Moisturizer and use multiple times a day.
Bottom Line:Although I havent had it long, I can already see improvements. My skin has had sever acne for 4 years and has never looked as clear as it has the past two weeks. The only thing I was worried about was during the first week, my acne really got bad but the dermatologist said keep on and sure enough, it is clearing up. Avoid picking at your skin because that causes more flakes and acne.

Pros:none
Cons:extreme reddness, dry skin
Bottom Line:I've heard great things about tazorac. Even my dermatologist urged me to try it twice. But, my skin is very fair and sensitive. As a result my whole face turned bright red. The product sheds the outer layer of your skin, and my face looked raw. it looked like i was attacked but a pumice stone on my face. Do not rec for fair, sensitive skin.

Pros:none for me
Cons:made my acne way worse, made my skin really dry and flaky
Bottom Line:I had mild-moderate acne, mostly on my forehead and chin, I tried taz 0.5% cream to clear up my skin and even the tone. After the first couple days I thought it was working but then my skin started to break out really badly all over esp. on my cheeks and the area around my mouth became really dry and flaky. Id read that itll get worse before it gets better so I stuck it out for 8 weeks but it never got better. My skin looks way better without taz than it did with it.

Pros:I am on Tazorac, its pretty sweet. I went on accutane, cleared acne, but I have scars now, not bad, but enought of them. Tazorac is helping, been on for like 10 days. I love it.
Cons:Slight peeling, nothing serious. Had some break outs, but managable.
Bottom Line:Tazorac is great, it clears pimples in like litterally over night. I had one yesterday, it was a scab today that fell off. I am hoping within a week my scars will be gone. I am over my serious breakout stages. (knock on wood) I LOVE TAZORAC
