| Pros: | Speeds up Cell Turnover Renews Skin Surface Reduces Redmarks |
| Cons: | Drying,Peeling, Sensitive to sun Some Sensitivity to other products |
| Bottom Line: | Tazorac has worked when no other topical worked on me. I've had acne for 16 years and this stuff rocks! Yes, you will have some Initial breakout from the product. It will unblock your pores and you will get more zits before they subside. I had both Cysts and pustules and after 4 weeks of continual use, I have no active acne. Scars,yes...but no zits. I did peel like mad at first. That's good but annoying. The normal skin take 36 days to renew itself, more when your older. this stuff can renew cells in less than 7 days. Giving fresher skin, less clogged pores. I previously was on Differin which left me with bad scars. Tazorac is Awesome! |

| Pros: | Definitely seeing an improvement in my acne |
| Cons: | Peeling, redness, still have cystic acne around the corners of my mouth |
| Bottom Line: | Hi all...this is the same Stephanie who wrote a couple weeks ago about how amazing Tazorac was, after using it only one day. I realize now I probably shouldn't have written that review, seeing as how there is no "miracle" product that cures acne over night. But I wanted to let you all know that Tazorac might be your answer! I have been using it for about four weeks now, and experienced some pretty dreadful acne. I noticed this morning my face is headed towards improvement though. There is hope!!!!! You can handle the peeling and extra bad acnce for a couple weeks...good luck! |

| Pros: | This stuff really worked for me. Almost no side effects, my insurance pays for it so it only costs me around $20 a year or so (WAY cheaper than Proactiv), and it is super-easy to use. |
| Cons: | A little dryness when I started. I started on every other day applications, which helped. Don't use too much of it either; a little bit really works as well as a lot, without all the dryness. |
| Bottom Line: | This stuff was a miracle drug for me. I had suffered from acne for years (I'm a male) and tried every OTC available, including Proactive which didn't work at all for me. The derm put me on this every evening, Duac every morning, a Benzoyl wash, and an antibiotic. I have since stopped the antibiotic (side effects) and have only been truly faithful with the Tazorac and have had almost no acne whatsoever for the past two years. I experienced very mild dryness with no redness and no peeling, so the side effects were minimal and are now nonexistent.
Everyone's skin is different (or else a derm's job would be too easy) so you may have different results. It really worked for me and would not use anything else. |

| Pros: | Makes skin smooth and soft, works well on clearing acne |
| Cons: | As everyone says, the initial 6 weeks are terrible. My skin was red, peeling, wouldn't moisturize, but after those six weeks, it looks so much better! |
| Bottom Line: | It works, you just have to be patient. Just think about how little 6 weeks is in the grand scheme of things. People won't remember your skin looked a little peely weeks ago, they will notice your great looking skin though! |

| Pros: | Eventually gets rid of acne, leaves your skin smooth and less pimply. |
| Cons: | Takes a long a@# time to work, burnt my skin at first, and very pricy but Ihave two medium sized tubes and i still have alot left from the first one after 2 months! |
| Bottom Line: | I have sensitive skin so it took a whole two months and a week for my skin to clear up! (I only have 3 small pimples now)I'm brown skinned and my face felt a little burnt after i used it for three weeks. I also used duac but switched to finacea for scars. I've been using finacea for a little longer than a month. And doryx 100mg a day.
The combo is great. I have no pimples on my cheek near my nose, JUST SCARS ERRR. I alternate brevoxyl wash 4%, cetaphil, and dove soap for a cleanser. I love dove (frangrance free)! Oh yeah, if you have moderate acne and don't have a lot of money just use the Brevoxyl wash 4% twice a day, it WILL CLEAR YOU UP COMPLETELY!(NO PIMPLES)& a good a@# moisturizer. |

| Pros: | Could see an improvement over night! |
| Cons: | I am so nervous to see how my skin will react over the next couple of weeks |
| Bottom Line: | I have had acne since 7th grade (I am in college now) and it recently got so bad that I was too embarassed to leave my apartment, even to go see the dermatologist! Once I made it there, he recommended Tazorac. Last night, I washed my face with Epicuren Acne Medicated Cleanser, then used the Epicuren Glycolic Peel (I am switching from Epicuren products to Cosmedix products in hopes that my skin will clear quicker), applied a nickel size amount of Cetephil moisturizer, then a pea size amount of Tazorac. I woke up this morning with noticeably smoother skin and less redness around infected areas. This happened in ONE NIGHT. I am dreading the next couple of weeks, seeing as how everyone says their skin got a lot worse before it got better, but what is a couple weeks compared to the years I have suffered from acne? It is worth a shot, I would say! I will update you all in a month or so with the conditions of my skin. Best of luck, don't let acne get you down!! |
