Pros:very cheap cheap
Cons:painfull risk of infection so take keflex or other antibiotic for staf ect
Bottom Line:start with piston motion n go to sweaping motion when resistens lessons. dont go to wide or donut/pin coushon could form. free neddles for junkies at chem/hospital in oz dont know about yours. clean area well first and wipe with swobs that come with needles. havent tried it myself but that is how it is done. im a seeing a derm/ps in 2 months keep u all posted.

did it about 3 years ago, been pumping al lkinds of temp crap in my face radiesse, restalyn, artecoll, sub works maybe 10% each time, it will look good of course the first month but will settle after and you will barely notice the improvement , needs about 5 treatments to get it right , but honestly the only thing that really works these days is $5000 for a series of fraxel laser or medical grade silicone , those are permanent, save your money for the fraxel, 500 or so for silicone

Subcision does not hurt! But the pre numbing shots do hurt, so be prepared!

Immediatley I saw a slight differnece. I am in the process of healing so I had alot of dry blood spots and peeling. It dosent look great. Hopefully it all goes down. I will keep you posted.

I paid $800 for 1 treatment from a very well known derm.

Paid $1800 for N-Lite laser, subcisions for icepick scars and TCA peel on scars only. My skin is a little smoother from the N-lite laser, but the scars look the same. It's been atleast a month and i'm patiently waiting for a change, but so far i'm extremely disapointed and out A LARGE AMOUNT of $$$.

I've had acne scars (Depressed Fibrotic and Ice Pick) for over 10 years. I would say I am quite pleased with results of Subcision.

Around 2 years ago, I started undergoing scar treatment (4 sessions of subcision alternated with chemical peels). I find :atleast: 50-60% improvement on 90% of my scars.

You can expect some minor discomfort and reddening of the face for the first two days.

Do make sure that you hear ticking sounds when the doctor breaks the fibrous strands. Not much use poking around with the needle if he doesn't get it right.

Just had subcision yesterday. Had lots of acne scars and have been looking forward to this for a long time. Of course I look rather hideous now, with lots of bruising, red blood marks from the needles, swollen, etc. Hope it works, although I'm prepared for whatever the outcome will be. My face was already nice and clear except for the really deep acne scars, and I figured, what have I got to lose?

I am having subcision in July, spoke to my consultant, but not sure how it is done. I know your face is injected first but then what?

I had subcision done on three icepick and/or box type scars. This was done in combination with full face laser resurfacing. (Some before laser, some after) The results were excellent and I am very happy. The procedure was simple and the only problem I had was with the injections of novacaine, which made me have the shakes! Anyway subcision was very, very effective in flattening out my indented scars. I still have scars in their place, but they are flat and thinner, and not really noticeable anymore.
