Pros -very inexpensive (CVS, Target, or other generic brands--so long as they have salicylic acid--work very well, too)
-easy to use
-mostly natural
Cons -a few years ago St. Ives changed the formula, making the scrub less...scrubby...however, they have changed back and the scrub is like it used to be. I guess if they changed it again i wouldn't buy it.
Bottom line I have been using this scrub twice a day for 10 years...wow...I am old! I think there was a time i tried to use something like Biore or 'higher end'...that didn't last long!

St. Ives' medicated apricot scrub and store-brand analogs are inexpensive quality products. If I skip a day or two of this scrubbing my face does not like it! This scrub is also easy to use on body acne as well. I think if you have acne worse than "light" acne you probably should use this scrub in conjunction with another topical treatment.

Pros - Baby smooth skin!
- Contains salicylic acid
- Removes flakiness like nothing I've ever used
- Seems to control oil and help existing breakouts to disappear
- Helps moisturizer to penetrate better
Cons None, except as a beauty therapy student we tend to avoid using granular exfoliants on anyone with acne lesions, so therefore I would only use this if you have light acne.
Bottom line The best facial scrub I have ever come across. I've used this stuff for over 10 years and I will never stop loving it. It gets the blood flowing and leaves my skin feeling super smooth and clean.
I am glad they have formulated a salicylic acid one for oilier skins, as it makes a good addition to my regimen now that I have my acne under control.

Tip: Don't go crazy! Rubbing too hard will obviously cause irritation, which in turn can result in breakouts.
Another obvious one: don't use it every day. It's a scrub, not a cleanser, which means 2-3 times a week is plenty.

Pros It removes the dirt, okay...
Cons It drys up my skin just a bit, makes my skin look whiter, irritates a bit if you scrub for too long or for a long time
Bottom line I don't know if there is a major difference in my skin, with blemishes and acne because personally for me it doesn't help in that area. On the other hand i have pretty oily skin, so i like to use this product to reduce a lot of the oil.Its worth a try though!

Pros works
smells great
Cons really brings out the redness if you scrub to hard.
made me break out a little
Bottom line Don't use this everyday! I found that it worked great using it every other day. I did break out after using it a couple of times and it turns your face red if you scrub to hard

Pros -Smells great
-Feels nice on skin
-Works great for my moderate acne; dries everything up fast and removes make-up
-Not expensive
Cons -Do not use it too much
-None!
Bottom line I use the kind with salicylic acid. I have loved this product, but when using it too much, my face breaks out. Other than that it is wonderful. I use it to exfoliate about 4 times a week.

Pros - Makes skin soooo soft
- smells yummy
Cons - Made me break out when I used it too often (everyday, sometimes twice a day)
Bottom line I started using it again after a couple months after it totally destroyed my face and made it worse than ever. I use it once every few days, maybe just once a week just to take off some dead skin cells. and after I use aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser which I love. I use that everyday though. so far so good. Im just tryna make sure I dont over due it!
