The Canadian version of sodium sulfacetamide is Sulfacet-R, which is Klaron + sulfur. My insurance covered it so i paid $10. Last week, 6 big cysts on my chin, all in a row. This week, chin is clear as day. Since quitting birth control pills 2 months ago, my chin has been constantly breaking out in hormonal cysts. Nothing OTC has helped so i resorted to seeing the doctor after checking out reviews here. I'm so glad I got Sulfacet-R. It is a lifesaver. Of course the sulfur dries out my skin a little but i would rather have dry skin which can be taken care of by moisturizer, than red, painful cysts. I'm giving it 4 stars because i haven't been using it long enough to see whether the effects will wear off on me, but for now, it is GREAT!!!

Klaron works. I have very mild/moderate acne with the occasional breakout here and there. However, I do have some annoying scars/red marks from Tazorac and part meds. I think Klaron is very soothing, but at the same time, I really never noticed any great result while on it. Klaron never reduced the scars/red marks, but it did prevent future breakouts, since I would rarely get new acne. When I put it on in the mornings it would leave my skin reddish and tight. However, putting it on at night, I would wake up in the morning with very nice looking skin. Now, I take 10g B5, Vitamin A, C, E, Zinc, Biotion, B-Complex, Multi Vitamin, and 200mg Minocin. I've been doing this for a month now and although it sounds like a lot of vitamins, once you start clearing up (which I am), you can start reducing the doses until you find an effective maintainence dose. Klaron is nice, though, and I would recommend it to people with sensitive skin.
