Pros:It works! My 9 month post-accutane skin was starting to get mild breakouts again. Within a month, my skin has the same glow it used to...
It didn't work for me pre-accutane (with more severe acne), but it clears up mild acne unbelievably
Cons:Can make skin a little too dry sometimes...but then I just cut down to once a day or every other day
Bottom Line:Love it! Really happy that I've found a maintenance therapy that doesn't make me red and peely (like taz and retin-a). It might not work for severe acne, but if you have oily skin and always a couple of small breakouts, give this a try!

Pros:In my early 40's, I have had mild acne for about two years, particularly on my hairline near my scalp. I have a generic sodium sulfetamide wash and it has been great, particularly in reducing the oiliness of my forehead.
Cons:Even using a washoff cleanser, I can still smell the sufur smell on my face, especially when I exercise or am at yoga class. Yuck.
Bottom Line:The smell is a small price to pay. The product is easy to use, cheap, and my face looks and feels really clean and oil free for the first time in two years.

Pros:It works ! Control oil very well, which is usually the cause of acne. Easy to use.
Cons:It smell....who cares !
Bottom Line:I prescribe this to my clients along with The RX Systems Glycolic home care products. I see GREAT results for mild to moderate/semi severe clients. I also do glycolic peels and micros occasionally to further the results.

Pros:You can use a little, invisibly, during the day, and more at night. Soothing, drying, non-stinging. Can be used (with patience) like a concealer.
Cons:Lousy packaging (for mine, anyway). Mild: no instant results, but rather, slow and gentle healing.
Bottom Line:I have dry but acne prone skin, and I use this every day, while the Tretinoin (Retin-A) the doctor also prescribed collects dust. Why? The latter ends up making my skin very painful, dry and flaky. This stuff is foolproof, and consistent results have been rewarding; it now seems to prevent emerging spots. If you have delicate, adult-acne prone skin, pay the price for this one, and skip the freaky skin-scaling drugs.

Pros:This product is the best at clearing up zits quickly. I use it every other night, and when I wake up, any pimples have dried up, and my pores have opened up. It's eliminated my need for antibiotics.
Cons:It has a rather strong smell, so it can really only be used at night. That also means that, if you are an evening showerer and you don't actually rinse it all of in the morning, that you will walk around with a slight brimstone odor.
Bottom Line:One of the most effective acne meds I've ever used.

Pros:Doesn't dry out skin
Decent oil control
Doesn't smell too strongly
Cons:Not as effective as I thought
Bottom Line:Since I started using this 3 weeks ago, I've been getting those really painful, large, under the skin pimples. I rarely get those. I'm not sure if this is just part of the transition process, or if something else is causing the acne. It has been humid lately. Overall, I do like the face wash because it does a good job of removing oil without drying out my skin. However, I am still getting pimples. I also use Benzaclin twice a day and Differin at night. I added Sodium Sulfacetamide (generic) because my doctor suggested it.

I will stick it out until the end of the prescription and reevaluate then. But, I would still recommend it because even if it doesn't prevent pimples, it's at least a good face wash for acne-prone people.

Pros:Cleared up my acne. Did not dry out my skin. It was the only medicine that ever had any kind of effect for me.
Cons:Smells bad.
Bottom Line:I only have mild acne, but I get some pretty bad breakouts once in a while. After years of visiting my dermatologist and dozens and dozens of acne prescriptions that didn't work, or did, but dried the heck out of my skin (I have eczema as well as acne, so my skin is especially prone to dryness and flakiness) this stuff was the only stuff that helped. I highly recommend it for people with dry skin that have acne.

Pros:cheap, works relatively quickly, doesn't irritate skin, is tinted so actually covers red marks
Cons:smells terrible, dried out my skin
Bottom Line:this stuff reduced the size of some big cysts within just a few days and i was really impressed. i couldn't give it a five because i've only been using it about a week, but this week i've seen more improvement on my face than i did during a month and a half of over-the-counter products. the only downside is that it has kind of a smoky smell, and whenever i put it on i would keep thinking "is something burning?"
