Pros:It's tinted to match my skintone perfectly and covers my red scars and blemishes as it works on drying out pimples and preventing new ones from forming 25g bottle
Cons:Slight sulfuric smell, but nothing to cry about.
Bottom Line:I am using the tinted sodium sulfacetamide 10% and sulfur 5% lotion. I threw out my liquid makeup because it was clogging my pores and this tinted sulfacet works as a makeup. It covers my blemishes and red spots! Within 8 hours of my very first application in the morning, my 2 cysts were dried up and the tiny pimples had disappeared or deflated! Sulfa-based products must work very well for me. I apply it to my skin 3 times during the day. The liquid is sooo sheer and light and absorbs quickly. My skin has shown major improvement & I have used everything including differin, retin-a, benzoyl peroxide products, proactive, EVERYTHING! This is the only medicine that works for my moderate cystic acne!!!

Pros:Doesn't irritate my very sensitive skin very much at all (and EVERYTHING else does)
Cons:Not 100% effective, expensive (costs me over $60 for the generic, even with insurance!)
Bottom Line:As far as topicals go, this is one of the best I've tried. I have been taking it for about 14 weeks for my mild to moderate inflammatory acne. (I went through a round of accutane in 1995 and again in 2003, both for severe cystic acne and the acne was starting to rear it's head again last summer 2008. So, accutane was not a cure-all for me, and at 35 years old, I am so, SO tired of dealing this this. Anyway...) It is gentle and does not tear my very sensitive, dry skin up like retinoids and BP do. It is not 100% effective - even after all these weeks, I still get one or two bright red pimples a week. They heal within two to three days, but this has not been the magical cure-all for me. Still, I dread the day it stops being as effective. I'm already looking forward to the next treatment option because I know it's only a matter of time...until then, I'm pretty happy with this treatment. I recommend it to anyone, especially to those who have very sensitive skin like me.

Pros:dries minor pimples fast!!when i used acne aid cleansing bar last night, 5 small zits immediately healed in the morning...cheap too!
Cons:dries the skin, takes time before big cysts diminish in size and in number
Bottom Line:it works, really...you just need a good moisturizer plus the patience to wait for the big cysts to begone.sometimes itchy too. how ever, small zits dry fast, however, it leaves a black/dark brown scar....

Pros:AMAZING! First product I have ever tried that cleared it within 2 weeks....didnt irritate my skin...and made it soft. It's the PERFECT product. And I've tried almost everything.
Cons:I do still have a few tiny pimples on my forehead and other areas...but VERY few...and they seem to be still disappearing every day
Bottom Line:BUY IT! It's worth it. It works best with clindamycin phosphate I found. Put the clindamycin phosphate on in the morning, wait a little..then put on the sodium sulfacetamide. Same for before bed. It's amazing.

Pros:Nothing really. It did not smell as bad as regular sulfur products.
Cons:It didn't help me in the least. Nothing really works for me. And sulfur can make your skin different colors.
Bottom Line:I really got excited when reading the reviews and everything. I used Plexion and I had no results. Over the counter products worked better than this for me. I have really oily skin and a really oily scalp.

Pros:Dramatically reduced irritation and helped my breakouts heal faster. I'm a compulsive picker, so this really helped calm things down and prevent scabbing, which in turn helped me stop picking. Didn't make me peel or sting my face like other topicals.
Cons:Sometimes balls up under moisturizer if you don't wait long enough. In my case, I just stopped moisturizing because I have oily skin. If you don't remember to shake the bottle up, you don't get as much effect.
Bottom Line:I am absolutely IN LOVE with this stuff. I have used Retin-A, Tazorac, Ziana, and Differin, and this is the first one that helped. All the others kept my skin peeling, red, angry, and scabby and stung my face when I applied them. You only need a tiny bit of sodium sulfacetamide (Klaron) to cover the entire face, and there is NO stinging, even on the open blemishes that I had picked at. The second day I could tell a major difference and things have continued to improve. I will keep using this as long as I possibly can because it actually calms things down instead of making them worse! I don't know why more derms don't prescribe this.
