I used Plexion, but it's expensive (highest copay on my plan). I wish I could get it OTC, it is the only thing that has ever cured my acne.

I didn't have horrible acne, but at least 3 or 4 zits on my face a day...and at 27, that's 3 or 4 too many. I work with children, who tend to be brutally honest, and wanted to shrivel up and die when one would ask what was wrong with my face. I tried Differin, which worked for a month or two. Then I was just coming out with these cystic, painful zits, mainly on the sides of my face, toward my jaw, and on my chin. I looked all over the internet for ideas and found BenzaClin. While searching for ratings on that I came across this site and started reading about Klaron. I decided against the Benzaclin (pseudomembranous colitis? no thanks) and got a script for the Klaron. I swear, overnight my face was better. It's only been 3 days so far, but for three days I've had perfect skin. Not even any redness or peeling. I wash my face in the am with St Ives medicated scrub and put Klaron on with my fingertips...that's it. No lotion or anything anymore. (I wait at least 15 minutes before I put makeup on) At night I take my makeup off with DHC Cleansing Oil and wash with whatever cleanser I have handy. When my face is dry I put on the Differin, wait at least 15 minutes and then put on Klaron.

I love, love, love this stuff.

Well, all I can say is I have tried everything...from Benzoyl Peroxide, Retin-A, Benzaclin, Azelex Acid, Clindmycin and antibiotics and I also have mild/moderate acne. Finally after using all those products and going through tons of burning, itching, breaking out, my doctor gave me samples of Klaron. This is the best product ever so far, I have used it only for 5 days and my face is smoother, clearer and I feel great. It even feels good on my face, and makes my skin less oily. I hope this continues to work great, but so far its amazing.

I am a 17 yr-old skateboarder in Carlsbad and acne definitely worsens for me since I'm always wearing a helmet and getting sweaty and exhausted. I tried Klaron and it was a MIRACLE! I used to have double yokers under my eyebrows and pus-filled legions on my hair line and sometimes they would pop whenever I went skateboarding because of the helmet pushing down on them and then the germs would spread. It was disgusting, having to take off my helmet and seeing crusted pus on the helmet and on my forehead and it really hurt me physically and emotionally.

With Klaron, my pimples reduced in size and number after a month. It was much better, but still quite expensive for a tube like that. My face is not as disfigured as before. I have also underwent one laser treatment in the last week to correct the crater-like scars on my forehead and hairline. Klaron is helping!

I read about Klaron on this website so I went to my doctor and got the prescription for it this week (5/23/2005). I have been using it for 2 days and I already see some improvments. I do not have any side effects and my skin is really sensitive :)! I did not give it 5 for how it works since I did not use it for a long time. I will come back after I will use it for a while and I'll rate it one more time.
In the past I tried almost all OTC products but nothing really worked.
Good luck everyone!!!

Cleared me up from the start. I had cystic acne on my face in few places, but very large bumps. I learned to be very gentle with washing and apply Klaron in the morning, nothing has worked better for me.

This is the most awesome zit medication I've ever used!.....and trust me, I've used everything out there, including Accutane, tetracycline, benzyl peroxide....you name it, I've used it.....and never has any other medication has been as fabulous as Sulfacet-R. I've been using it on and off for the last 8 years, tried others in the meantime, while my face seemed to become immune to it, but have always came back to best thing invented for acne.

I had been using tazorac and was very clear, but very irratated at times. My derm switched me to this a month ago, and I am not breaking out horribly, but worse than on Tazorac. Hopefully it will clear up. I don't have insurance that covers this, and it was unbelievably expensive-- far more so than anything else I used ($128!!!)
