I've been up against horrible cystic acne for 5 years. Smoothbeam had worked for me so far, I am on my 5th of 6 treatments. The main difference I feel is the absence of the painful deeply rooted cysts, and that to me is worth the roughly $300 dollars per treatment. From what I have read I am hoping my skin should continue to improve, but I am expecting to have to go in at least once a year from now on to keep it up. Lastly, yes it does hurt. Make sure you use the cream and lots of ice. For me it kind of felt like being under a sewing machine in some of the more sensitive areas.

Good Luck!

I did five treatments with the Smooth Beam. I had very little improvement and was disappointed with the results. It is painful unless you use the face numbing lotion

Had smoothbeam done at the Laser and Dermatology Institute([link removed]). It cost over $500 per treatment and I saw very little improvement. I was also promised improvement in my acne condition which did not happen at all (I have tried every rememedy out there. I am 38 and I continue to get bad breakouts). I give up.

Not a cure-all by any means but six treatments (at level 14) did shrink my pits and enlarged pores. Improvement of 50-60%. The collegen takes time to build. You will continue to improve in appearance up to 6 months after your treatments.

very expensive, pretty painful unless you get shots, and not effective until you have 4-6 treatments in a row.....(one per month)and....effects do not last unless you keep up with it....which can run into thousands of dollars.
