For almost two decades, I had doctors try everything to control my oily skin and acne. Only Accutane worked, but the side effects became so bad, I could no longer take it. Then I discovered Smoothbeam and V-Beam in Houston in January 2004. I had six treatments (each 4 weeks apart) and my skin was 98% cleared up. Now I have a "Maintenance Treatment" every 3-4 months.

There is no doubt - Smoothbeam and V-beam worked wonders for me - it normalized my skin and I have very few breakouts.

I pay $500 per treatment (with every 5th free). But I'd pay even more because it works.

So far I'm very impressed I've had two treatments and I've already noticed great changes I'm very happy with the results. It's painful if you don't use the numbing cream. But once you get through the pain IT WORKS WONDERS. If you believe it won't make a difference you're right, if you believe it will you're right. Don't let the negative reviews sway you. Positive thinking goes a long way. Overall I would recommend Smoothbeam to anyone wanting to improve the look of their skin.

I am on a treatment plan (for almost $3k ouch) that includes the Smoothbeam laser (for acne and scarring), Vbeam laser (for redness), and microderm abrasion. I go to the doctor every week for about 2 months. I've had 2 Vbeams so far and 1 smoothbeam. I have my next treatment in a few days. So far my skin is smoother and somewhat less red where scars used to be. My pores are smaller and my skin is less oily. I am pretty happy w/results so far - as long as they continue. The first treatments I had taken advil before and the treatments were not too painful. The last time I went I hadn't taken Advil and I was more sensitive. I suggest talking to your Dr. about taking something mild like that beforehand, it definitely helped take the edge off for me.

I am a 41 yr old female who had cystic acne like a 13 yr old!!! Tried everything rom Retin A to Blue Lite treatment, nothing worked. Had one Smoothbeam treatment and in two weeks 90% of my acne was gone, this treatment is amazing!!
Every expensive but compared to all the Dermatologist appts and creams etc, not so expensive.. And my acne is GONE!! If you are thinking this is too good to be true, I thought the same thing, but it WORKS. I am having my second treatment done next week...

I just had my second treatment of the smoothbeam laser and I feel that it has helped a little. My pores are shrinking and my skin is smoother. However, I have had some hyperpigmentation problems. I'm only paying $75 per treatment, so it worth the money so far.

I just had smooth beam laser for wrinkles. First time I went was 3/30/05 next appointment is 4/27/05 I was told you wouldn't see results for at least a month. I don't want to waste my money, I would rather buy clothes, go on a vacation, I have not see any results since the process was done just 2 days ago. I really felt no pain just a little pinch. I really researched and wanted something that I would not have to be cut ... I feel if you are given a mini face lift and it doesn't turn out, you are stuck. I am anxious to see IF this works, if not, I will not be happy and I will NOT recommend it. Has anyone else done smoothbeam laser for wrinkles, especially around the mouth??????? Am I wasting my time?
