First of ladies, you HAVE to pick the correct shade for you or as close to the shade you think you are or it will go on and dry patchy and you'll look like you have just smeared mud on parts of your face. You MUST use a primer or moisturiser

Secondly - you MUST apply with a wet brush or sponge and for your first layer dont use so much of the product and focus on one part of your face at a time as soon as you apply the product to your cheek...sponge once applied as its fast drying and buff with brush if need be. After applying ur first layer then Stipple on another and this gives the awesome coverage, again use a small amount

To remove - first of use a wipe (I use simple wipes) to take of the top layer then use a deep cleanser to get into the pores and removed the product OR

You can use a wipe again to take off top layer then a make up remover (I use La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser with cotton wool, takes ALOT TO get it all off) this will lift the product from your pores without harsh rubbing.

Personally I only wear this make up on a night out or special occassaion, just because its a pain to remove and its full coverage which can feel heavy throughout the day. Even though it still breaks me out slightly I still use this on nights out as I havent found anything with as good coverage and long wearing, other than MAC which breaks me out as well and its just as good a product so may as well settle for the cheaper option

It sounds a hassle but its so easy to apply if you know how :-) and you can be safe in the knowledge that your acne wont show through

Pros

  • Full Coverage.
  • Long lasting if applied correcty.
  • Buildable coverage.
  • Scars and redness wont be visible even if face becomes oily.

Cons

  • Broke me out further but I was already having a Cystic Acne breakout.
  • If you dont get the right shading and apply correctly it can look AWFUL.
  • Takes a bit of doing to remove
  • moderately severe
  • for a few months
  • $ 12.49
  • I recommend using this treatment.

Its good for eyelids (primer) and under eye bags, but to actually put on acne, go with something less thick and heavy.

Pros

  • COVERS MARKS LIKE NO OTHER MAKEUP!

Cons

  • thick, sticky, clogs pores (4 me anyway)
  • moderately severe
  • for about a year
  • $ 13
  • I recommend using this treatment.

It's great! Try it out if you've been searching for foundations!

**Tip: Some people say it breaks them out, but it's all a matter of washing your face really well when you take it off. After I take off my makeup with a wipe I use a gentle scrub and then I use my Proactiv toner to take excess oils, dirts, and foundation. After that I use a facial set from Shiseido to calm/moisterize my face.

It doesn't hurt to try. Try it out! :)

Pros

  • Very good for oily skin. It actually stays on your face even without a finishing powder or primer underneath. I've literally tried EVERYTHING to find the right foundation. I went from Lancome too Smashbox and they were still not right.
  • Covers acne scars well.
  • Doesn't smell bad. Odorless.
  • Affordable
  • Doesn't break me out.

Cons

  • It tends to get a little sticky after your first put it on.
  • Kinda hard to blend unless you wet your brush or sponge well. I use the bronzer brush from ECO from Walmart. It's really good and because the brissles are small it makes it look natural :). For how much it covers someone didn't know I had foundation on!
  • Oxidizes.
  • light
  • for a few weeks
  • $ 12.99
  • I recommend using this treatment.

GREAT product, my sister has severe acne and much oilier skin than I do and it works well for her too!

I use this under BareMinerals Matte for a super-flawless look (one foundation is never going to cover everything evenly when you have extremely light skin like I do).

Pros

  • Flawless and not-thick-looking coverage (I apply with clean fingers)
  • All day wear
  • Mostly sweatproof
  • Matches my super light skin tone yet covers redness

Cons

  • More expensive than other drugstore brands, but still cheaper than most designer lines!
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 12
  • I recommend using this treatment.

This stuff DOES cause breakouts. When you wear it, it oxidizes on your skin, and looks terrible- you can definitely see it on your face, and it doesn't look good. I can't express how nasty and awful it looks. Check a public mirror- you'll be horrified. Plus, it makes your skin look dull, DRY and OLD. Emphasizes pores. And it emphasizes the crap out of dry, flakey, or peeling skin. very gross. Plus, it feels really thick and gross going on. And of course, the packaging is terrible.

Bottom line, makes skin look 10x nastier and worse than no make up at all.

Pros

  • can't think of any.

Cons

  • Causes break outs
  • makes skin look dry and old
  • unsanitary/inconvenient packaging
  • oxidizes
  • Looks TERRIBLE in certain lighting, and up close
  • Smells like paint
  • Lots of bad chemical ingredients that age your skin
  • moderate
  • for a few months
  • $ 10
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

I am a Professional makeup artist for MAC. And I prefer this over Mac cosmetics any day. It is worth the 14 dollars. USE A MAKE UP BRUSH TO PUT IT ON! Do not use a sponge. Sponges soak up all of the liquid make up.

I have dark skin and works amazing for me. It is one of my favorite foundations of all time. You will clog up from this make up if YOU GET THE COMBINATION/OILy bottle.

Seriously try it. You wont be disappointed.

Pros

  • Long lasting (24 hours)
  • Does not clog skin
  • If used right, it won't kit
  • Amazing coverage
  • Great for all skin shades

Cons

  • You need to take off with make up remover or a strong facial wash
  • Must apply with a makeup brush for it to look best so don't use a sponge.
  • moderately severe
  • for more than a year
  • $ 14
  • I recommend using this treatment.

I wore this foundation today for a few hours and also worked out at the gym with it. I came home and saw how shiny my face was. When I first applied it, I thought it would cover every single blemish but it actually didn't; I don't know who made up the idea that this is full coverage. It's more of a medium coverage because it definitely didn't cover my acne scars and dark circles. I would recommend dusting a light powder over this if you have combination skin like I do (oily in T-Zone, very dry everywhere else)

Pros

  • Matches skin tone
  • Applies smoothly
  • Good selection of shades

Cons

  • Funky smell
  • Cakes easily
  • No pump
  • Gets greasy and shiny
  • moderate
  • for a day or two
  • $ 14
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

This would have been perfect if it didn't break me out so badly... If you have acne-prone skin, stay away!! I thought I had found my HG foundation because the whole finish was just so nice. It didn't sink into my pores and coverage was great. On the 3rd day of using this, my skin freaked out. I broke out all over my face which took so long to finally clear up. I was hoping to just cover the acne scars I had left on my face but this just got me back to square one. I put it under my eyes for concealing and I even broke out in tiny red pimples under there as well. So cheaply made... no foundation has ever broken me out so bad. So disappointed and angry... ughh.

Pros

  • Great coverage
  • Even skin tone
  • Long lasting

Cons

  • Literally feels like putting paint on your face
  • Causes cystic acne
  • So hard to take off
  • moderately severe
  • for about a week
  • $ 11
  • I do not recommend using this treatment.

This isn't a miracle worker, you can still get oily but if you use a good powder (I like clinique) it can last shine free a long time. I actually like this better than my Makeup Forever HD foundation and that was $40. As far as getting it off I typically just water a washcloth and get most of it off and then use my cleanser to get the little bit still on my face. You could also use an astringent to make sure its off, it just takes time to find a way that works best for you.

Pros

  • good coverage
  • great color selection

Cons

  • can get oily after a few hours
  • was hard to fully wash off at first
  • moderately severe
  • for about a year
  • $ 12
  • I recommend using this treatment.
