Wow Dan.. I've been on the regimen for almost 3 years now and holy, the site and the entire community has gone a very looong way. I really appreciate your dedication and ongoing desire to help people despite the lack of profit you make. I've never sent you a success story but the regimen cleared me up completely; I don't even have to use it twice a day anymore and my chest is full of acne so I know my face wouldn't be pretty if it weren't for the regimen. You answered all my questions when I was starting out which was awesome. I don't even have to worry about acne even if one pops out once in a while; its no longer on my mind 24/7 (or at all)... nor do I have a compelling desire to sit on the right side of the bus because that was my worst side back then. My son is 14 years old and in the first stages of acne, though it got pretty bad quickly. Hey Dan,

I just wanted to thank you so much for your great advice on your site.

I have had very bad teenage acne for the past few years, and it has been getting increasingly bad up until the past 3 months.

I developed an anxiety disorder out of it, and just felt that I looked like shit. I didn't want to go to class, I didn't want to go out with girls, I was just depressed.

I started your regimen 3 months ago, after putting my face through hell with Retin-A, Differin, and a cocktail of antibiotics. I was completely obsessive with the regimen. I followed it precisely and used a lot of BP. I don't think I missed an application of it once. Even when I would stumble home drunk I made sure to gently rub that stuff in.

My face is 99.9% clear today, with an isolated pimple every few weeks or so. The red marks are finally fading away and my skin is so smooth.

I live in Minneapolis, and one of the top modeling agencies in town actually asked me to become one of their models, just off the street. I did my first photo shoot yesterday and got to work with this gorgeous model! sweeeeeeeeeet.

I have so much confidence now, I ran for vice president of one of the top organizations at our university and won that too! I am making the transition from being shy and reserved to big man on campus.

My life is great now, and I feel that I owe a lot of it to you.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you SOOOOOO much for your product!

We (my 16 year old daughter and me) had been looking for something to work for her acne. It was ruining her life - we were in Europe last summer for 3 months and because she saw other teens there that don't seem to have acne, she felt awful!

She wouldn't go out to eat or go out much. I seriously said a prayer about her situation. Before and at that time she was on differin, soladine, and tazorac. NOTHING WORKED! Dear Dan, Like many others who have emailed you, I accessed your website as a desperate last-ditch attempt to get rid of my acne, as it was ruining my self-esteem. I was embarrased to look at myself in the mirror and really thought I was a hopeless case, since I had been to the dermatologist on many occasions with no success. So I thought, why bother going now? I can't explain how helpless I felt. Basically, I thought this was something I just had to live with. I am 23 years old, and have dealt with acne in some form or another (mild to horrifying) since I was 10 years old. I had been using BP cream before I accessed your site. I have suffered from moderate to heavy acne since I was about 17. I was on Ro-Accutane for a year, which got rid of it, but it started to re-develop about a year ago.

I was so dissapointed and depressed because I thought the problem would never go away. Then I found your website.

I have to say, at first I thought it was a load of lies, but thought to myself, hey I've tried everything else, so why not give it a go.

In 5 days I started seeing results, and within 2 months my skin was completely clear.

I don't even have to use the Benzoyl Peroxide anymore. It's just gone. This is a fantastic solution and I recommend it to anyone. The only downside is sometimes your clothes can get bleached if you're not careful to wash your hands after you apply etc.

I'm now 28 and have been bothered by acne for over half my life. For almost as long, I've seen more than my fair share of dermatologists and been on just about every acne prescription out there. For me, the only one that completely worked was accutane, which of course has side effects that were hard to cope with. And unfortunately, the benefits of accutane wore off after a year. The effects from a second round of it were similarly short-lived. In my early twenties, after accutane failed to cure my acne, I conceded defeat and let acne rule my life. Not surprisingly, I sunk into a deep depression.

Recently, I regained my determination to live life on my own terms. First, I tried proactiv and then some expensive microdermabrasion and extraction treatments. These were only slightly effective, and very unkind to my wallet. Two months ago, I was almost ready to give up again. Then I came across your site. I immediately went out and bought some recommended BP and moisturizer, and for the last 6 weeks I've completely acne-free! My skin looks just as good as it did right after my accutane regimen--but of course your regimen is cheap and without the nasty side-effects. Thanks Dan for all your dedication to helping acne-sufferers everywhere!

Let me also say that as a medical student, you've influenced my sense of the ideal doctor-patient interaction. My personal doctors were so quick to write prescriptions without first seeing whether cheaper alternatives (which I was not aware of) would work. They also were too busy to explain how to correctly apply the products and which moisturizers were best for acne-prone skin. You, on the other hand, guide us through the regimen, so as to leave no doubt how to correctly follow it. I try to emulate your deliberate approach as I learn how to interact with patients, regardless of the particular malady.

I don't know you and you don't know me and I am sure you're inundated with e-mails every day. But I wanted to take a time out to tell you that your website is amazing. I suffered from acne for over 15 years (and now that I am in my early 30's, it is STILL embarrassing for me to say the word �acne�). Just like everyone else, I tried everything, cried, went through depression, stayed home, etc. I could honestly say that I have even spent tens of thousands of dollars on acne care. In my search for a solution to some of my scarring, I ran across your website. I finally found my �cure� in a similar method as you described (all on accident I assure you). BP is the only remedy that has worked for me. My method is a little different than yours � I like Proactive and I use 10% bp at night instead of 2.5% (I only use 2.5% during the day because of make-up). Everyone is different, but I use it in the similar method you described and I am here to tell you that it works.

You have shed light on this terribly debilitating and embarrassing subject. I just wanted to say, thank you and keep up the good work!

Hi Dan, You should be given the Nobel Prize for medicine. I would like to bring Benzac AC 2.5 % solution to your notice. Though it needs a prescription, I would like to see it recommended on acne.org. There is absolutely no burning or irritation with this solution. And the moisturizer of my choice is Clean and Clear's oil free cream...your regimen worked like magic with these two products and my life has been transformed. The best part of the regimen is its simplicity...wonder why none of those dermatologists with years of professional training couldn't even come close to finding something that works so well. My acne is 100% clear now and that's outstanding because I have severe 'grade 4' cystic acne. Of course, no one would know it if they looked at my face now.
