The Regimen success stories

I was extremely skeptical of you specifically Dan, I read the Regimen one time by accident and I liked it, because it was extremely thorough and mentioned everything right there as side notes. I noticed the products for sale and saw that you are not a medical professional, and I didn't like you at all, and dismissed the site immediately. I did more research online to get a clear face and even skin tone, and eventually I found my way back. I read the site again, I saw how even though you promoted your products; the Regimen and all your other information is worded and presented in a way to help the consumer, without a doubt. Not, as a product plug. I read your acne history and treatment, truly inspiring. It was clearly a huge part of your life, I can't really imagine, yours is the best success story of all.

I'm on the Regimen one month now, My skin was accustomed to BP already, so no real adjustment period, I avoid irritation at all costs, I load on tons of BP and oh so so so gently wash my face following all of said instructions to the letter. My skin glows blemish-free at the moment. I'm 18, my skin will most likely not stay like this forever, but at least I'm armed with the knowledge and a community to turn to if it changes for the worst. Thanks, I'll be around.

THANK YOU, DAN! I'm 27 years old and have struggled with acne since I was 13. I've tried everything, but I've never been able to keep my skin really clear for long. I was skeptical about your regimen, but tried it as a last resort, and now I'm recommending it to everyone! I teach high school students and have even printed out the regimen for some of them.
I started out using Neutrogena benzoyl peroxide, which cleared up my face for the most part. I finally ordered your treatment, and I absolutely love it. While the Neutrogena worked well, I still had minor breakouts, dryness, and the cream kind of left a film on my face. Just wanted to personally thank you for this amazing acne regimen. Ive had acne since 16 (now 21) and its been hard to deal with. Ever since I broke out my self esteem had hit rock bottom...i lost my confidence, my swag, and alot of my social skills. I've been on the regimen for 9 months now and 90% of my acne has cleared up. First off, let me start by saying THANK YOU for your regimen! I'll tell you my story before asking the questions:

I started the regimen with eucerin daily skin lotion, and got BAD reactions from it. My face felt like it was on fire, and I turned red. People constantly asked me if I had a sunburn (I'm pretty pale normally). My skin also flaked out and all the old dead skin cells showed! It looked a mess! Discouraged but not defeated, I kept going with it, and after 2 months, it stopped hurting my face and the redness cleared a bit...but my skin was still flaky with dead cells! It looked gross! I started using more lotion, and that kept my skin looking fine, but oily. My acne (moderate) started clearing up everywhere but my chin which was as bad as ever. I figured this is the best it's going to get, so I may as well stick with it.

Fast forward a few months later. The burning was completely gone, and my skin looked REALLY good except for my chin (which was kind of a mess) and flaking was minimal and controllable. However, one day I thought about this dead skin around my mouth. I wondered if there was any connection between the dead skin cells around my mouth and the acne around my mouth/chin...

I know this completely goes against your regimen instructions, but one day I figured I'd try to take a washcloth and scrape all the dead skin off. After about 10 minutes of good scraping, I got all of the dead skin off. My face was red, but that cleared up after a few hours. Every day from here on, I scraped any excess skin off my face (after soaping but before applying BP and lotion)...

Fast foward again another month. My chin (and now my whole face) is completely CLEAR! THANK YOU SO MUCH! The only extra tidbit it took was exfoliating all the dead skin cells!

I am a 30 year old women living in Virginia and I wanted to share my acne story with readers.

I had a horrible outbreak of adult acne Oct�07 last year and I think it was mostly because of some personal stress that I was going through. I have had acne problem as young adult (in my early 20s) and at that time I had visited a dermatologist who had prescribed strong medications to get rid of it.

This time I was extremely upset with the ugly acne and I didn�t want to eat those medications again. I had to go back to my home country (India) for a wedding in Jan�08 and I almost thought of cancelling the trip because I was so embarrassed about my skin.

I researched the internet to get some answers and luckily I came across your website. Within weeks I saw a big difference and in just under two months I was acne free. I followed your regime very carefully (found the videos especially helpful). To be honest the reason I tried your regime was because you were not forcefully selling me anything (though now I order all my supplies from you), you were sharing your knowledge & that�s why I trusted your website even more!

I am amazed by the ease with which I was able to get rid of ugly acne. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. BTW, I looked awesome at the wedding! I wish you could create a website for weight loss too :)

I just wanted to let you know that I'm very pleased to see how this website
has evolved.
About 4 years ago I checked out acne.org for the first time, at that time I
was literally in tears because nothing will work to improve my acne problem.
I tried the method that at that time was only the Neutrogena on the spot
option and helped me a lot, so I have been very greatful though I did not
take the time to go back to this website and send a thank you noter for all
Dan has done for all of us with such a frustrating problem. The website is
awesome with lots of information.
I just bought Dan's products, the cleanser and the cream, I hope they will
work even better than the neutrogena. If not, I still won't think the 25
bucks are wasted money, you really deserve my sponsorship!
P.S. I recently tried proactiv and is breaking out my skin. I would not
deviate from your teachings anymore! :)

Hey Dan,

I just wanted to say thanks for creating an awesome resource! I have had acne for over half of my life (I'm 28 now, had it since I was about 12). By the time I was about 16, it cleared up somewhat but I've always had two or three whiteheads or pimples at a time on my face. I've tried salicylic acid, antibiotics, 10% benzoyl peroxide, sulfur resorcinol, natural products with witch hazel (the worst by far) and pretty much everything else under the sun. They helped keep my acne from being awful but it still was always there at some level.

The first week I tried your regimen with Cetaphil cleanser, Neutrogena On-the-Spot, and Clear Care moisturizer. I didn't have a single additional pimple the entire week. My skin hadn't been this clear since I was 11! I'm on the second week, and I did get two small whiteheads, but I'm confident those will clear up soon. This is still the clearest my skin has ever been. I was even considering Accutane because I was so fed up with dealing with my skin, spending 10 minutes every morning trying to conceal it with makeup, and feeling like crap whenever I had a breakout.

I also wanted to applaud you for 1) using a scientific approach to creating the regimen, 2) sharing your story and information in a down-to-earth way, and 3) using environmentally responsible products. I think you are a great example of what people in our generation should aspire to be in terms of honesty to the public, an intelligent approach to challenges, and responsible living.

So here's a little bit of information about me

I fit under your category of 18-24 males who was desperately looking for a cure for my acne ever since i was about 16 years old but never really looked far into acne treatments besides proactiv and a couple of other over the counter solutions. After about 4 years of excruciating pain of cysts and embarassment of my acne it slowly started to dissapate (I was incarcarated for a couple of months which allowed me evaluate my diet which was a contributing factor to my acne). Though it cleared up a good amount there were still some lingering cysts and whiteheads. My sister then turned me to your product. I was extremely skeptical at first because of the simplicity of the regimen. After reviewing your videos which made it ridiculously simple to use, I put some faith in it and let the slight tingling burning take place. I could not believe my results in a matter of 3 days, my only regret about this was that i wish i had taken some before and after pictures. Thanks to your product i no longer have to be in social embarassment and pain from cysts and those annoying whiteheads. I truely believe in your product and adamently tell all of my friends who are struggling with acne to use your product.

I hate to repeat what everyone has told you but,it works! My daughter is 12 and had her first dermatology visit at age 8, she was on differin,BP 5% and erythromyacin for over ayear with little or no result.I was about to go for the hard stuff when I found your site.
