My name is Angie and I have had acne since I was 13 or 14 and am now 25 just about to turn 26. I started seeing a dermatologist when I was 19 and after about 5 years I had tried everything they had even 2 rounds of Accutane when at age 21 I developed cystic acne. None of it helped except the Accutane but we all know it stops working after you stop taking it and the side effects are awful. I stopped seeing my dermatologist about a year ago when I realized she had nothing that would help me. I don't have severe acne anymore but I usually have several breakouts at a time and b/c I have fair skin they leave ugly red marks that last for months. I have really oily skin and stopped wearing makeup all together about a month ago. Anyway my point is that about 2 weeks ago I was sitting at home and I decided to look on the internet for possible acne treatments that I hadn't tried yet and yours was the first website I looked at. I know God answered my prayers and directed me to your site b/c my skin is finally clearing up. I have only been on the regimen for about a week and a half but my skin is almost perfectly clear. The night I started it I had 3 big pimples on my forehead and when I got up the next morning they were gone!!! I was amazed and so happy!!! I know that there may still be more pimples that will pop up but that's ok b/c I'm gonna stick with the regimen b/c I know it works!! I have read a lot of other people's experiences too on your message boards and it makes me so happy to know that other people in my same situation are finally getting clear skin too. I'm am 32 and I had been struggling with acne for the last 8 years. It all began when I was making some really unhealthy choices in my life and once I cleaned up my life, my skin didn't clear up so well. Actually it got worse over the last couple of years! I have tried diets, cleanses, and every product out there. I even tried Proactiv after the infomercials made it sound like a miracle! Nope it only made it worse! I was getting so fed up with everything I had tried and was contemplating going to the dermatologist to try Accutane even though I know of all of the awful side effects - but I was miserable and my self confidence was shot! I had been to your site many times and thought how could it be that simple... I had tried all of those products before and nothing worked. I have been using your treatment for awhile and recently added the AHA lotion. This has been a miracle product for me. I had great skin until I was about 18 and then started my uphill battle agains adult acne. I am now 37 and my skin is looking better than it has in years ever since I started using both of these products.

I am so happy to finally have found something that really works! I still get some zits from time to time, but they go away much quicker and my scars are fading as well. My skin is also very soft and smooth.

I'm 39 and have recently battled mild to moderate acne for the last four years. From antibiotics to Retin-A Micro to penetrating diode lasers, I've tried most everything. While the laser [Smoothbeam] has had a promising effect on reducing sebum, it was not the magic bullet I thought it was for facial acne. I still had a lesion or two each week probably due to propionibacterium acnes which Smoothbeam does not treat.

Four weeks ago, I stumbled across your site and ordered your product. I really didn't think it was going to work, but I'll try anything once to get rid of such a frustrating skin disease as acne. Over the four week period, I have seen a definite improvement. I still get one pimple per week, but it's usually small. My skin feels better, too. I'm still somewhat skeptical because I've had other treatments work for short periods of time, but if I continue to see great results in the next 3 months, I will consider it a great success story.

Also, I like the fact that you recommend Cetaphil products. I've tried all types of high-end, very expensive cleansers and moisturizers, and inexpensive Cetaphil continues to be the most effective product especially for sensitive, dry or oily skin.

One last note on exfoliation. I've read some message boards and it seems that some users are leaving out proper exfoliation of dead skin. If this is not done, the cell walls tend to stick together eventually blocking and causing the follicle wall to collapse. This can create a plug or even an acne lesion. There are many products that help with facial exfoliation and I use some. However, the most effective process is microdermabrasion. This is a procedure done usually at a dermatologist's office using a medical grade device that removes the outer layer of skin to ensure your pores do not get block. One procedure per month can go a long way to helping keep your face clear. The cost is usually $75 to $100. There are good machines and bad. Here's link that goes into great detail about microdermabrasion. Don't let the site name fool you. It's very informative and unbiased.

I have tried everything. I've been to the derm, tried most of the over-the-counter meds with no relief. I discovered this site and decided to give the regimen a try. I was hesitant to try because I had used ProActiv (which I figured was essentially the same thing). I read the regimen instructions carefully and decided to give it a try. (Oh, btw, I'm a 30 something female who has had mild/moderate acne and extremely oily skin for years).

I ordered Dan's bp and moisturizer. The day I got the product I had a large cyst on my forehead. It didn't make the zit go away instantly, but it improved quickly. That was my last zit!

This is my 4th full week on the regimen and my skin has never looked better! I have been using Purpose cleansing bar and Dan's bp. I use a tiny dab of moisturizer under my eyes after the bp dries. I wear no makeup (not necessary now!) which helped me tolerate the mild drying and flaking. I really think the key is being gentle to my skin and the amount of bp used (I am using the full amount in the regimen now).

The one thing I noticed just this week is the reduction of oil! I haven't seen that mentioned too much regarding Dan's bp. I had been using an oil-blotting sheet about once per hour but now I'm down to 1 or 2 a day, which is shocking to me.

I was amazed that a simple product could be the answer to a long struggle with my skin. But it works!

I have been using your regime for about 2.5 years now and it has changed my life. Just wanted to thank you for the great web site on acne. I am 47 and the last few years have really been bothered by forehead welt-like zits. Very, very frustrating - especially since I never had any problems in my teens, 20's, 30's! (I disliked business meetings and social events because of the adult acne - and that was stressing me.) Anyway, your regimen is right on. I am SO glad that you found a manufacturer to make affordable size product of 2.5% BP. (As you state, the commercial 10% is way overly drying - I couldn't stand using that - especially in cold winters.) I started the regimen around June 4th. By the end of June, it was ALL clear! During July, I just stuck with the regimen as a preventative measure. So here it is early August and the regimen is such a part of my daily routine, that I don't think about it. It is so great to have NO zits. Any zit that does begin to show is very minimal and barely visible and gone fast.
