The Regimen success stories

I just want to say thanks!! I am a 29 year old female and have been waiting for the day when I would be free of acne. Although I have never suffered from severe acne, I have sufferend from mild to moderate acne from the age of 13 and cannot remember a day when I had a clear face. I have tried many different over the counter treatments to no avail. I have tried everything from Aveda, Arbonne, Tea Tree and Proactive. Not only were those treatments costly, but they did not even come close to the results I have seen. The true test were the days leading up to my period. I just made it through clean and clear for the first time in my life. My face was dry for the first week or two of the regimen, but has now become accustomed to the regimen.

I am a teacher and have students with severe acne. I will be talking to my class about what I went through and what I did to overcome. Hopefully they to will benefit like I have.

I blogged about your products a while back. Love them for acne-prone skin affected by eczema. Now I have my mom using your stuff too. I needed you 16 years ago! I have been suffering with acne since I was 12 and now I'm 28. I have spent big bucks over the years and found a few products that worked okay, but never good enough where I was comfortable with my skin. I've had many doctors visits as well. I've been researching a "fix" for years but never had luck. Finally, last week I became determined again to seek something that would work. I found your website and began to read everything. I liked the concept, but had little faith it would work. I decided to give it a try with the current products I had. I've been using proactive for a while now, but couldn't get clear skin. I ran out of the proactive facial cleanser, so I went and bought a gentle facial wash from the grocery store. With the facial wash I had purchased (clean and clear), proactiv's repairing lotion which contains the 2.5 benz peroxide, and proactiv's oil free moisturizer, I started your regime, leaving out the proactive cleanser and toner. Also making sure I was extremely gently. It has been 1 week and my skin is more clear than it has ever been before! I can't believe I've had the correct tools this whole time, but just the wrong technique. Thank you so much. Once my procativ products run out, I will be purchasing your products.

I just wanted to thank you for creating this site and for dedicating your time to making these products. I have a similar story to yours...I'm 21 now, and I've been dealing with acne for 10 years. I started out with the obsessive face washing, harsh astringents, stridex wipes, scrubs, anything I could find that might scrape away the acne. My skin got worse through puberty and spread to my chest and back. I was embarrassed to wear tank tops in the summer, and horrified by how my face looked. I dealt with, and still deal with the depression and low self esteem that acne can cause.

At 14, my parents took me to the dermatologist. First we tried Retin-A, then antibiotics, Differin gel, benzoyl peroxide, and finally, Accutane. I did two 5 month cycles of Accutane and had wonderful results. However, by age 18, my acne had returned, but it was mild to moderate, instead of severe.

From 18-20, I used harsh cleansers and 10% benzoyl peroxide, which helped a lot. My skin was always dry and peeling, and i hesitated to use moisturizers for fear of breaking out.

Not long ago, I was researching acne on the web and read the study that found 2.5% BP was just as effective and less irritating than 10% BP. It was then that I came across your website and discovered your wonderful BP product! At that point, BP was the only product you had for sale (the others were being formulated). I bought 2 bottles and got hooked.

I have sensitive skin, so I use a gentle cleanser morning and night, BP at night only, and a spray on cleanser for environmentally sensitive skin by Dermalogica.

I still have some mild acne, but I blame it on genetics, allergies, and hormones. I am quite happy with how my skins looks today, now my only feat is getting rid of some scarring.

You deserve the Nobel Prize. I'm not joking, I'm sending whoever is in charge of it a nomination for you.

I'm 18, almost three weeks into the regimen (I'm using the starter kit from your online store) and my skin is clear. No new acne is forming. I've had mild to moderate acne since I was 15. It wasn't affecting my social life or my confidence. Since most people struggle with acne around that age, everyone was too scared to admit acne existed, so I didn't care that much. The difficult part is the fact that I didn't hit puberty until I was 14, and now that I am 18 and still struggling with it I have had fears that it would continue on into my adulthood. In just the last year, it has gotten much worse. It spread from my chin and nose to my cheeks and forehead. I tried just about every product I could afford, ProActiv, AcneFree, herbal products, prescriptions like tetracycline and others. Literally hundreds of dollars in products, and nothing even phased it. It really began to effect my confidence. I didn't want to go to school, I hated going to work, sometimes I would ev!

Thank you. I love your sight and the support network here. I had almost no acne all through high school, and as soon as I went to college, BAM! Acne everywhere. It was so depressing to look around and see everyone growing OUT of their acne while mine was getting worse. I tried proactive, many free trials and internet cures, and some things my friends suggested. It is your Regimen that's FINALLY getting my skin clear again. I have had problem skin since my twenties, and I am now 36, and I still battle with acne. I have been to dermatologists, taken internal medications, laser treatments, and had professional peels to clear my skin, but to no avail, the acne has always come back.
