The Regimen success stories

I have seen a lot of letters that tell you how much the regimen has changed people lives, as they are successful controlling their acne and acne symptoms. What I haven't seen are letters that tell you how the regimen has helped the families of those people. I have had acne since the age of 11, and the stories of things I've done to clear up my skin are familiar: depression, unsupportive family members, picking, scrubbing, antibiotics, birth controls (many), dermatologists (also many) and nothing has worked for me the way your products and systems have. I suppose my story of clearing up with acne.org and then discontinuing use of your products because I was clear is probably also familiar. And the eventual return because the acne was merely controlled, and not cured? Again, familiar. I'm going to be 30 next months, and I'm determined to face it without a protective layer of concealer. I don't want to hide from the cameras. I want for acne not to be a controlling factors in my life, and MOST OF ALL I want for acne to not be a controlling factor in my DAUGHTER'S life.

I've been a picker for going on 19 years, and I didn't really realize what a detrimental effect it was having until I noticed that my 4 year old was beginning to copy me. I have scars on my arms, my shoulders, my neck and my face from something that used to be the search for flawless skin, and that eventually developed into a caged beast instinctive urge to claw my way out of my own body every time I felt stressed or found a bump. This is for my daughter: thanks for helping me be a better role model for her. And when she turns 12 and starts experiencing her own bout of acne, thank you for giving her the tools to control it before it is out of control.

Four years ago I walked out of a dermatologist's office with yet ANOTHER prescription. I felt hopeless because I knew I was holding another expensive prescription that would fail in helping my skin. I had already tried everything short of accutane. I was on tretracycline, clindamycin, benzaclin, Retin-A (which burned my skin off), and others that I can't even remember anymore. None of it worked! Just want to say thank you!

Came across this website last week and shared it with my teenage son. He's been under the care of a dermatologist for two years, but things seemed to be getting worse instead of better. Also, I wasn't too thrilled with the antibiotic regimen or the night cream (tazorac). I had a feeling the cream was causing irritation. I went to the drugstore and bought what you recommended - Clean and Clear foaming facial cleanser, Neutrogena On-the-Spot cream, as well as Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin.

After less than 24 hours, his skin improved! It's been almost a week now and he looks like a different guy! He has lots of allergies and I've never really found a good moisturizer that he could tolerate. The verdict is still out on this one, but at least he's not reacting to it. Now I'm very tempted to try your products, but I'm a little worried about changing the routine at this point because it appears to be working! Do you feel that your products are so comparable to what I've bought that there should be no problem switching?

Anyway, I just had to write and thank you.

My name is Danielle, and my fianc� found your regimen at acne.org on a day back in August of 2003 when I was crying that I wouldn't leave the house because of my disgusting face. This was the first time I had told him how miserable my acne had made me, and how I couldn't even concentrate on planning a wedding or anything else in life because of how ugly I felt. Dear Dan,

I have only been using your regimen for three or four days now, but I am already seeing results. The acne that I had when I first began using it has healed up to scabs now, and this morning was the first morning that I woke up in a longggg time where I actually DIDN'T have a new pimple to pop. I did, however, develop a very minor one at the end of work today, but one small pimple in one day is a lot better than about four or five! (some of them quite large) I also had a zit on my forehead that I could see starting to surface...the kind where it's real slow to surface, but you can tell by looking at it that it's gonna be a doozie. I was freaking out that I was going to have a gigantic "boob" in the middle of my forehead, but after a few days of BP, it looks like it's shrinking down now. I was able to start out at the full dosage of BP, because my skin has been toughed up already thanks to retin-a. But for some reason, retin-a has stopped working for me. It was like a miracle drug when I first went on it. I didn't have a single pimple. It worked for me for a few years, and now it simply doesn't anymore. I would break out almost as though I wasn't treating my acne at all, and I never had a totally zit free day ever again. Thankfully, my acne isn't as bad now as it was a few years ago, when it was mostly cystic. Now I just have moderate acne, so I figured I'd give your regimen a try, and I can see it's going to work well for me. I can't wait until a few months from now when I'm 100% clear! It's only been about 5 days since I started using the Acne.org treatment and I already see results! My pre-existing acne is clearing up fairly quickly and I'm not seeing anything new! That's a first and I can't wait for my skin to totally clear up!

I wash my face with Cetaphil cleasner, apply lots of the Acne.org treatment, then follow with Cetaphil moisturizer.

Hey Dan, I'd just like to thank you for everything. I've been using your regimen for about 7 months now and it has kept most of the pimples away however, I have been experiencing dryness and when my face tended to get wet a milky white substance would wash off. So I stopped swimming and tried to stay out of the rain and it worked well. I am 15 years old and your regimen really did clear up my face. There's no words that can describe how much it has done for me, it really is the nicest thing that you are helping people out like that. Hi Dan!

It's been nearly a year since I've been on your system. I still can't believe it when I look in the mirror to not see giant white heads on my face each morning!

I happy to report that I'm pretty much 95% clear on my face. I still get some body acne, but I'm working on that thanks to the boards.

I cannot thank you enough for your kindness for sharing with us this no fluffs method. It aggravates me that to think that dermatologists are blind to this or possibly blind siding this simple method due to corporate pressure or personal greed. (What did they go through med school for?)

I'm like you, I tried every treatment known to man. I went through accutane, trinoline, off counter, herbal medicine you name it I've done it.

Who knew all it took was some basic BP and attention.

After taking a look into the mirror this evening, I felt the need to write you to thank you for giving me the skin I have always wanted. Since I began using your products 2 months ago I have only had 1 blemmish. I really believe that that 1 blemmish was my fault as I got a bit lazy a few nights in a row. If you have acne, today is your lucky day. Your struggle is over. Since I turned 30 (I'm 38 now), every morning before I opened my eyes, I would run my fingers over my face searching for acne 'nodules.' Typically, I'd have one or two, sometimes more and on a few glorious mornings none (although they often formed during the day). Based on their size, I would decide whether or not to get them shot with cortisone. Luckily, I knew of a dermatologist's office where the nurses would shoot them at 8:30 or 11:30 a.m. for $10. The cortisone shots got rid of the nodules, but they also caused 'divots' or holes in my face. Once I had enough divots to justify the expenditure, I'd have them filled with collagen for $500. I saw dozens of dermatologists, went on and off antibiotics and spent hundreds of dollars on topical treatments, but none of it stopped the nodules from forming. So that was my miserable life. I recently got engaged and considered not having a wedding for fear of what my face might look like on my wedding day. On a desperate Internet search, I found acne.org. The testimonials (like this one) sounded promising and the solution was cheap, so I tried it. I have not had a single nodule in two months!
