Uh, before I start....I never took any videos or photos. Simply because I was sceptical! I had tried so, so, so many other products and medication before so I didn't want to get my hopes up.

Thanks a million Dan. You really are the man! Love the site. I'm from Ireland, had acne from 13yrs up to 30yrs. Tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Paid serious money with top dermatologists. In the end, I had given up and was resigned to the fact that I was better to accept the acne on my skin and figured it would never go away. I left my skin alone without taking medication for 2-3years (didn't take any medication or apply products).

Just over a year ago, I googled 'acne' and happened upon your websites. It took a while to source appropriate products as you recommended. The first couple of months were testing...the usual dryness and redness occurred. There was a continuous gradual improvement with frequency of breakouts and general tone of my skin. Approx 13 months on, it feels like I have never had acne. A couple of minor scars but in general, v smooth and clear. Delighted! Never thought I would see myself clear!

A couple of months ago I got married. It was a great relief to be not conscious of my skin. My only regret is that I did not come across this website earlier. I suppose this is not an issue, live in the moment and enjoy!

I am writing to share my heartfelt thanks. About two months ago I went to the doctor again about my acne and was given a handful of new prescriptions. I'd already tried everything over the counter, plus estelle, differin, eryacne etc. and I joked that oh well, I'm 29, it's sure to clear up soon. Then he told me it would- when I hit menopause! Just wanted to let you know how much I love your products! I've always had some form of mild and cyctic acne, and spent years and lots of money trying other products to get the flawless skin I craved. I'm in my 30's, and it seemed the older I got the worse my acne became. I tried doing lots of online research trying to find something that would work. I tried herbs, creams from the dermatologist, and countless acne systems. I tried avoiding certain foods, and wearing my hair up all the time, avoiding touching my face, thinking that it would solve the problem. But what really made me upset was that I was trying so hard to do all these things, and all my friends who had perfect skin were eating what they wanted, wearing their hair down, and touching their faces without so much as an afterthought. Hey Dan! I wanted to share my story. I have suffered with acne for the last 17 years! I'm a classic case of an acne sufferer: self-conscious, low self-esteem hid my face with my hair, stayed out of certain lighting, and wore tons of base. I'm sure we can all relate to this story in one way or another. I did go to see a dermatologist and that lasted for 4yrs. I can testify doing that actually made my skin WORSE! For that mistake I received in return horrible oily skin, huge cystic zits, loss of skin elasticity, and deep scarring. I was horrified at what I'd done. I thought going to the dermatologist was going to help, but it made me a freak! Every time I went back to the dermatologist, it was always try this cream, mmh..try these pills, try this face wash, acne surgery, chemical peels, and more creams!!! I felt like a guinea pig. Did they know what they were talking about? Were they real doctors? I said, Enough!! I stopped going and stopped all treatment. My face did clear up a bit, and it's been years since I stopped going to the dermo. You know what; I still have the same problems! I breakout, I have oily skin, large pores, blackheads in my t-zone, whiteheads...so on and so forth. One night, I felt I should look into getting some treatment, my face was going crazy! I wanted to see what was out there, what options did I have? I went to my computer, did a Google search, and found this site. Now, been what I had been through, I was skeptical. Nothing works on my skin, no one has the answers, and nothing can help me. I read all the testimonies, compared who like what soap better and moisturizers. I went to Wal-Mart, purchased some benzoyl peroxide, Cetaphil anti-bacterial soap, bought Neutrogena face lotion with SPF, and bought Dove moisturizer for sensitive skin, for my night time lotion. I can't tell you enough how pleased I am, I could cry!! Within a week I noticed about 90% of my face was clear, oily skin gone, large pores were less noticeable, and I was awed! The benzoyl peroxide did not burn; I was use to glycolic acid and salicylic acid. By week two, I had clear smooth skin, scars disappearing and smoothing out, blackheads gone, and no pimples. For the first time, since I was a child, I'm not wearing foundation. I can't believe it!! When I wash my face, I'll run my fingers across my skin, I love to feel it. For the first time in my life I feel beautiful. Who would've known that something so simple and inexpensive could work? I mean really work! Thank you so much. This site is awesome. It's very reasonably priced and is the supply is lasting a really long time.

I wish I had a before picture but they were too embarrassing so I didn't keep them. All that's left now is scars from prior acne and I think those should fade over the next couple months.

This morning I woke up and looked at my face, and saw ME for the first time in several weeks. My name is Julie, and I am 40 years old and have always enjoyed good, clear skin. (I should have appreciated it more!) However, I have gone through an extremely stressful time period over the past six months--and my skin paid the price. For the first time in my life, I was experiencing breakouts; each one producing more pimples than the last. After sulking and walking around the house for two days with my hood up, I typed in 'adult acne' in my search and voila! I started the program within a few days, and I have not gotten a new pimple since. (I started the program about three weeks ago.) The old breakout sites are fading, and as I said, I look like me again. My husband even remarked on the return of my beautiful, clear skin. I know you have heard this a zillion times but what's one more??!!! My daughter has had acne since 5th grade and I could see her pain growing every year. She will start high school next year and I was praying for an answer for her. We have been to dermatologists so many times I have lost tract. I was on a web page about accutane the other night and clicked on something on that page and it took me to your web page. I honestly don't know how I got there!!!! To me that was an answer to my prayer. Ofcourse, it sounded too good to be true, but I got all the products you suggest and started her on it that night. I could tell by the look on her face that she didn't believe it was going to help. We have tried every med, other than accutane, including everything I saw on the T.V. to order. I even ordered some goofy things from ebay to try. She started your regimen on friday night and I am writing to you on monday morning, weeping. It has made such a difference already. She's not clear but I can actually see her forhead. I know she's just waiting for the worst but I have such an awesome feeling that this is going to work. My 13 year old son has just started getting a couple pimples on his forhead so I started him on this regimen last night and the pimples were GONE this morning. Hi Dan.

I had mild acne for the last 3 years but my acne all of the sudden went crazy when I had a few vaccinations last year. It may have upset my body temperature or hormones..not sure what happened but my acne became moderate at that point.

I used proactive before, worked for a while but then not anymore. It seems like my skin got used to it OR perhaps I was not using enough as you suggest in your website.

Anyway, I bought your 2.5 percent gel and I have been doing the required amount for 4 days now. It is helping me greatly. I still have 3 or so pimples but those are old and they are going away slowly but nonetheless, still going away.

I am using Jojoba oil for moisturizer, Cetaphil hurt my skil *Very sensitive* and my neck broke into a rash for some reason..

Anyways, Thank you for explaining your regimen. Much appreciation. I hope this bp will always kill the bacteria in my skin so things never go back to what they were before.

I'm now 28 and have been bothered by acne for over half my life. For almost as long, I've seen more than my fair share of dermatologists and been on just about every acne prescription out there. For me, the only one that completely worked was accutane, which of course has side effects that were hard to cope with. And unfortunately, the benefits of accutane wore off after a year. The effects from a second round of it were similarly short-lived. In my early twenties, after accutane failed to cure my acne, I conceded defeat and let acne rule my life. Not surprisingly, I sunk into a deep depression.

Recently, I regained my determination to live life on my own terms. First, I tried proactiv and then some expensive microdermabrasion and extraction treatments. These were only slightly effective, and very unkind to my wallet. Two months ago, I was almost ready to give up again. Then I came across your site. I immediately went out and bought some recommended BP and moisturizer, and for the last 6 weeks I've completely acne-free! My skin looks just as good as it did right after my accutane regimen--but of course your regimen is cheap and without the nasty side-effects. Thanks Dan for all your dedication to helping acne-sufferers everywhere!

Let me also say that as a medical student, you've influenced my sense of the ideal doctor-patient interaction. My personal doctors were so quick to write prescriptions without first seeing whether cheaper alternatives (which I was not aware of) would work. They also were too busy to explain how to correctly apply the products and which moisturizers were best for acne-prone skin. You, on the other hand, guide us through the regimen, so as to leave no doubt how to correctly follow it. I try to emulate your deliberate approach as I learn how to interact with patients, regardless of the particular malady.

I would like to go on here and say that the BP from acne.org is amazing!

I am on my third bottle so far and I love the results. The favorite thing about this product is that its unscented and goes on very clear! You can apply it and there are no white residue marks on your face unlike other BP products. I love how the gel feels when applying it on my face, it glides on and absorbs very nicely. The gel reminds me of Proactive's BP, yet the difference is ance.org's BP is way larger sized and is very reasonably priced!

It also last a long time and gentle on the skin (once you get use to Benzoyl Peroxide). There is no other product out there that offers a larger size, pharmaceutical grade 2.5% BP that is very affordable with wonderful benefits!
