The Regimen success stories

I kind of expected acne in my teens. I dealt with it by doing all the stuff they tell you to: washing my face carefully, using prescription antibiotics, over the counter treatments...and it went away, only to resurface with a vengeance when I was 20. Which was not supposed to happen. Acne isn't supposed to blight your adult years.

I got pretty depressed over it. It wasn't severe acne, but that just meant that my GP never referred me to a dermatologist for it. I wouldn't go out without make up. Couldn't even answer the door. Hated summer, when all my make up melted off. Couldn't swim because then it'd wash away.

I tried Dan Kern's regimen without a huge amount of hope. Hell, I'd tried everything else--I even altered my diet, took holistic, ayurvedic and all kinds of other alternative supplements. I didn't expect some topical treatment to work. It never had before. But, I was really desperate. I was 24 and the acne was really ruining my life.

Within a few weeks there was a definite improvement. In a few months I was clear. I've stayed clear--I can sunbathe, I can swim, and I frequently leave the house with no make up on at all. After years of taking care of my skin, it finally looks really beautiful now. I can't tell you the difference this has made to me. The only thing I wish is that someone had told me how to use BP properly when I was 17!

I've been using your regimen for about 3 years now, and it has worked all along. I'm 48 years old, and my skin problem had really gotten bad starting at about 35 or so. The dermatologist said it was adult acne and that it might go on into my 70's! I had been on doxycycline 1,000 mg and Retin-A cream, and was still having breakouts. Thank you so much for letting me get off the antibiotics, which were making me short of breath when I exercised. Before that, I had used glycolic acid, which like the doxycycline had worked for awhile and then stopped working. I had also tried dietary changes - dramatic improvement when I started eating several servings of soy a day, but once again in a few months my acne was back as bad as ever. Someone told me to give up all milk products; that had no effect at all. Your regimen is the only one that has worked so well for so long. I think you're right -- benzoyl peroxide will not stop working because the acne bug will never be able to switch from anaerobic to aerobic. Thank you so much for your work and your website.

THANK YOU dan!!! I have tried everything for my cystic acne, from proactiv, to prescriptions, to zeno, and none of them worked for me. I have been using your products and doing the regimen for about 3 months, and this is the best my skin has looked in 10 yrs! My skin is soft and clear, and my scars are fading. Hi Dan,

It has been such a long battle until I did your regime. I have read and identified with most of the other success stories. I have spent thousands of dollars to get clear skin. There are too many of them to list. What is funny is my mom use to tell me to use BP all the time. She must be smart like you. I have been told many times I could model, except for my skin. For the most part I can conceal the acne with this wonderful foundation I have. It contains no oils or anything to clog the pores. Although the foundation works, it still is a pain to have acne. Not to mention I am a notorious picker. In my mind I am 'cleaning' up my acne when all I am doing is making the whole thing worse. I have started your regime for about 2 months, and my face is doing great. It probably would clear up faster because I do not use the BP under my foundation, and thus only use it at night. Even so, my skin has become less and less acne prone, and even is soft and radiant. I am sure you have heard so many thank you's, but let me give you another THANK YOU!!!

It's very reasonably priced and is the supply is lasting a really long time.

I wish I had a before picture but they were too embarrassing so I didn't keep them. All that's left now is scars from prior acne and I think those should fade over the next couple months.

Dan, My daughter started breaking out with acne Dec. 2001 when she was 11 years old. It happened so suddenly, we thought it might be a rash. woah! this website has grown! i started using the regimen a few years ago after my adult acne returned for the 3rd time. i had been through the dermatology ringer...antibiotics, prescription creams and gels, and finally accutaine. the accutaine worked for me, but only temporarily. i began to feel depressed because of my skin...i even gained weight because i didn't want to leave the house. my skin began to clear immediately after i started the regimen and has been great ever since! i have been through a pregnancy and many hormonal ups and downs since with only a few zits that i can recall. this is a wonderful program. thanks so much!
