Pros: I suffer from rosacea and the concurrent acne it causes. This stuff worked better than anything else I tried, including Rx.
Cons: When I first started using it, I wound up having to use only half the recommended product because of stinging. Really hard to find.
Bottom Line: Once I found the right amount for my skin, the product worked like a charm. Like any antiseptic cleanser, I do recommend using a water-based moisturizer afterwards. As for resulting dryness. My regimen was face wash with 1 pump of Stridex, my Rx rosacea creme, Clearasil adult, Oil of Olay.

Pros: It clears pimples, scars and lightens skin complexion.
Cons: Maxi Peel smells horrible. It can also cause reddening, peeling and stinging.
Bottom Line: This has been very effective for me. I experienced my first ever acne breakout just three months ago but managed to control it after two. I have been using Maxi Peel for three weeks and I can see the results already. There has been very little to almost no peeling or stinging or reddening for me. I use Pond's White Beauty Detox Cream after applying Maxi Peel. This serves as my moisturizer and sunscreen, too.
I didn't use Maxi Peel to clear my pimples because that is when you'll experience really bad stinging or peeling. I went to the dermatologist to control my acne. I only use Maxi Peel for the scarring. So far, the results have been very satisfactory.

Pros: It works
Cons: only available in in LA and Europe
Bottom Line: I heard about it from my doctor in Chicago. I made an appointmetn over the phone to fly to Los Angeles. I have olive skin so I was told there are not that many options for me. Glad to do it. It took 4 treatments but I have great skin now. I think most other procedures out there are scams. These guys know what they are doing.

Pros: Not terrible. Works a little.
Cons: Still had break outs. And with my extremely oily t-zone, the everyday scrub caused my skin to form a hard crust. I felt as if my skin couldn't breathe, not matter how much I washed it. Fortunately someone gave me a spa gift certificate, and an aesth
Bottom Line: I don't mean to sound like an ad, but what worked for me is Clinique. Not much more than Proactiv and for me it worked. (And I've spent hundreds at med spas.) It worked so well, that even when I was lazy about all the steps and washing my face at night, it still worked. And I was so miserable and humiliated by acne, I didn't think anything would ever actually just work.
Here are the issues that Clinique helped lazy me with (and they were really really bad): oily oily t-zone, cystic (huge!) acne, and enlarged, scarred pores.
And Dan, your face looks fine. Where's the acne?
