Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash Reviews

Like many I've never had a real problem with acne until the winter months in my mid-30's and I figured I try this. My face was so incredibly dry, it took two weeks of moisture to stop it.

I really hated this cleanser. It was the worst stuff that I have ever put on my skin. It feels like rubbing a bar of soap accross your skin, and my face was always oily twenty min. after using it! I don't reccomend this to anyone, even though my sister and my mom swear by it.

Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash is pretty good. It cleans very well and even after the first application I started to notice the difference. The only problem i have is that it stings a bit after washing it and it can leave skin a bit irritable. Strangely called "Gentle Cleansing" doesnt fit at all for this product because it's actually quite strong even though it doesnt have any BP. Besides the irritation it cleans incredibly well, but can feel annoying at times after washing. A moisturizer should definetly follow after washing to soothe the skin. I have the Purpose lotion and it works quite well in combination, although it smells a bit rancid and acts better as a temporary moisturizer that lasts only to soothe rough skin for a short while. Still is pretty good though but if u can find anything else, give it a shot first.

I was previously using "PHisoderm". I had red dry circles around my eyes, and I really started breaking out, so I switched to "Purpose" cleanser and now the circles around my eyes are completely gone, and back to normal, and the acne has really cleared up, (I have only been using this for a month or so). I highly recommend this cleanser!!

This was the first cleanser I used when starting on the Clear Skin regimen and it hasn't made me want to switch. I like the foaming action and I really feel that is cleans my skin without stripping away too much. Just the climate I live in makes me skin dry no matter what product I use, but this dries my face out less compared to other washes, etc. It does go fast, and as other have said, keep it out of the shower, but I am highly satisfied with using this product with the clear skin regimen and will continue to do so!

this product is great. I've used it on and off for 10ys and it's always the one I go back to! The dermotologist always tells me to use cetephil but it just doesn't take off my makeup and that bothers me. It's also great because it won't irratate your eyes so it takes off eye makeup great too.

This stuff is true to its name, it cleared up my acne, it's oil free and removed most of my makeup. It rinses clean fairly well (depending on location - hard / soft water). This stuff is the best! ** It is not the same as J&J Head to Toe baby wash.. same ingredients but the consistency is not the same.. also same with Clean&Clear face wash - not the same consistency. Amount of ingredient is important. You get what you pay for. Only thing bad about this product is that it does not last more than a month. Don't use around shower, water leaks in through the top of the pump and the product goes bad.

Relatively inexpensive, easy to lather and easy to apply. It does leave my skin pretty dry and tight after a few minutes but the moisturizer quickly solves that problem.

The wash, neutrogena on the spot and the moisturizer work great! The BP does leave a film, but I don't mind as long as my acne is clearing up and continues to stay clear. The white residue I can tolerate, the ance I can live with out, so needless to say that was the least of my concerns.

This has to be one of the most gentle face wash cleansers I ever used. I've used cleansers from Neutrogena (about 4 of their face wash products), Aveeno, Cethapil, Clean & Clear, Stridex, Pond's, Eucerin, Alpha Hydrox, Olay and none of them are this gentle and effective in removing all traces of dirt, oil and bacteria. This cleanser truly is top notch!

I pump less than a dime size in my hand when I am in the shower it makes a nice rich lather. It lathers very well and I love that. It feels great on my face and when I wash it off and pat dry my face with a paper towel (I don't use bath towels to dry my face) I am left with a non-drying squeeky clean, smooth, and balanced face.

I have mild adult acne as well as blemishes from acne and I noticed that this cleanser does not brighten them up or aggravate the skin like so many cleansers have. My pores feel much cleaner and my face feels free; less oily and no longer tight and drying.

There are harsh cleansers out there that go well over $5 and do not perform a great thorough clean job like this gentle wash. If price is a factor this cleanser is well worth the investment.
