Pros: none Cons: made me break out worse in places where i never broke out before. Bottom Line: My skin hasnt been the same since trying proactive for one week. I got huge cystic acne that swelled my cheek so much that it also swelled into my eye. i looked disfigured. Since discontinuing it several months ago i get acne constantly around the jaw and cheek, places where i was not prone to break out before. It ruined my skin... Pros: Really does the job Cons: Seems like your skin gets addicted to it! And possibly causes headaches?!?! Bottom Line: To KB: I also began to have headaches around the time I began to use Proactiv. That was about five years ago and I'm still living with these terrible headaches every single day. For some reason something clicked in my mind that it might be a product that I'm using. I will stop Proactiv and I'll let you know if my headaches were gone. I would recommend Proactiv if you don't experience any side effects, but be prepared to keep buying this product forever, once you start on it, your skin will go back to the same problems if you stop using it. Pros: took away most of the pimples from my forehead. my skin is a bit more smooth now i guess Cons: made my skin more oily, doesn't prevent new pimples like it said it does i still get new ones, seems not to be working anymore. Bottom Line: it's okay i guess. it really depends on the person using it as to whether or not it will work. i am going to keep using it with the hope that it will eventually work and get rid of all of my pimples. Pros: Nice look? Cons: Smell bad doesn't really work Bottom Line: I used this product for about 4 months with no results of clear glowing skin like they say it would do in the commercials. Pros: It makes your acne less noticable. Cons: It takes to long and smells weird. It doesn't clear your skin,it just makes it looks like freckles--well mine anyway! I expected more from it with everyone saying it's "the best"--I was disappointed. Bottom Line: It is overrated. The results could be better and faster so I am going back to Neutrogena! Pros: clears up skin starts working really quickly good results after 2 weeks Cons: smells but not that bad cost too much makes skin extremley dry and after a while your skin will look really bad!!! ACNE RETURNS!!! WORSER!! Bottom Line: dont get it!!!! save your money people, go to a derm. it starts working after like a week or 2 and like in a month your skin will look good but in between your skin get red and flaky and your skin looks old and dark cus of the sun and WRINKLY !! it looks hideos seriously the worse product ever!! but it does clear your skin for like a month and if you stop using it your skin will come bak worser like cystic acne which is ugly trust me. Pros: Makes skin brighter and smoother after first use, and eventually clearer Skin feels clean after use Automatic shipping relieves the worry of running out Cons: Smell, but it's not unbearable Skin doesn't clear overnight Cannot get lazy or skip a day Bottom Line: This product works. Pros: got rid of all my acne Cons: i used it for two months and my face was fine. i dont really care about the smell. but when i stopped using it my acne came back and im not doing so good now. Bottom Line: proactive, in my opinion is great. it works just fine. got rid of my acne, cleared up my face, and my skin felt great. even my friends told me i looked alot better. my acne isnt that bad, its just i hate having it. i stopped using it and now im breaking out more often and its a hassle. im going to get it again. just because i want my acne to go away. if its going to cost some extra money oh well. i cant stand acne. Pros: U REALLY DO GET RESULTS!!! makes pimple go away!!!!!! Cons: after u use it it makes u face kinda dry!!!!! especially the mask!!!! the first few times u use it, it burns but after u get use to it, it doesn't burn! Bottom Line: i used to have alot of pimples!! around my nose kinda on my checks and chin! i used it for about 3-4 months and half has gone away but its still there!!! but i really did get good results!!! so i trust and believe in this product and im going to keep on using this. For those of u who r using this dont expext asfter 2 or 3 weeks ur pimple r gonna go away its takes time!! and u cant eat suger and u gotta drink ALOT OF WATER!!!!!!!!!!!! ............and shower!!!! hope i was any help! Pros: It works great. Cons: have to really be consistant using every morning and night Bottom Line: This product works great for me. Maybe the reason there are so many complaints regarding red and itchy and burnt skin is that the regular formula is too harsh for their skin. I too had the same problem and tried their sensitive formula. You have to order by phone. This works just as well and I have not had any problems with red, itchy, and burnt skin since.
